Chapter 3 - Entering the New Dungeon

Shaun and his fans didn't encounter any dangerous creatures at the beginning of the dungeon. It was relatively easy, to the point where even the beginner F-Rank fans managed to defeat some monsters.

Shaun took on the role of a commander, and his fans immediately followed his orders as if they were experienced soldiers.

Noticing that some of his fans were tired, Shaun suggested they take a break. "Hey, everyone! I know you're tired, especially those who are new to this. Let's set up camp here for a while."

They found a safe spot with a few monsters around and settled down, laying out some mats.

The President of the fan club stepped forward. "Hey Shaun, some fans were wondering if we could do a question and answer session while we're camping. We'd love to get to know you better."

The fans had already prepared their questions, they were just waiting for the right moment to ask.

"Sure." Shaun agreed without hesitation. He understood their curiosity, especially after his mother's passing.

"We've got some questions ready. First off, Shaun, are you planning to continue your career as a Dungeon vlogger?"

The fans were eager to hear his answer. They followed him because of his vlogs about dungeon exploration. As non-practitioners, they found comfort in watching his videos, even if they couldn't experience it themselves.

"Yeah, I'm definitely going to keep vlogging about dungeons. Even though my mother isn't here anymore, I won't give up on what I started."

Most of his vlogs focused on exploring new dungeons, which his mother had discovered. She would provide him with the locations, and he would take on the challenge of clearing them.

Shaun had been making dungeon vlogs since he was 13, initially with his mom. It wasn't until he turned 16 that he started vlogging on his own.

"This next question might be a little sensitive, but we're curious about your thoughts. Have you ever considered searching for your biological parents after your adopted mom passed away?"

The President hesitated to ask this question, knowing how much Shaun loved his mom, the question could potentially make him uncomfortable.

"Well... I've never really thought about my biological parents. My mom was more than enough for me. Whether I was intentionally left at the church or not, she's the only parent I've ever known." Shaun answered decisively.

He had pondered over this question for years, wondering if he had been a missing child and if his parents had been searching for him. But with no one actively looking for him in the past 16 years, he concluded that his mom was all he needed.

"Moving on, have you ever met your mom's family? You mentioned in one of your vlogs that they didn't accept you because you were adopted. Have you had any encounters with them?"

"You mean the Kang family? They're known as assassins. Despite their reputation, nobody has ever been able to capture them, not even the Star sect. They use accidents as a method of killing, and their techniques remain a mystery. As an adopted son, I was never taught their clan's skills."

Shaun put on a smile and continued talking about his mom.

"But my mom was different from them. She became an affiliated member of the Star Sect. She believed in justice and despised killing. She was truly kind, the complete opposite of her family."

His mother became an affiliated member of the Sect due to her inventions and a recommendation from her husband, a member of the Star Sect. Although, she wasn't able to learn a Star Martial Art and remained ordinary, the sect made her an affiliated member.

"Now, for the last question. Shaun, what are your plans for the future?"

"Well, I'm not entirely sure at the moment. But I'm considering trying to become a member of the Star Sect. I'm still contemplating whether it's the right path for me or not. Luckily, I have three more years to think it through." Some of his fans gasped when he mentioned his desire to join the Star Sect.

"Shaun... We see you hesitating about becoming a member of the Star sect. Did they perhaps invite you to the preliminary event?"

The fans were shocked because they knew that being invited to the preliminary was a rare opportunity. Even before the actual event, getting an invitation was quite challenging.

Most people didn't know that the Star sect only invited those who showed potential in Star Martial Arts. For years, many believed it was a matter of luck to participate in the preliminary.

"Yes, I was invited last year," Shaun confirmed. The fans had suspected as much, but hearing it directly from him sparked excitement, leading them to bombard him with more questions. "Calm down, everyone. I'm still undecided about participating. I'm not officially a member yet."

"Shaun, this is an incredible opportunity. Why not give it a shot?" Fan no. 1 spoke up.

"Yeah, Shaun! If you become a member of the Star sect, I can proudly tell people that I'm a fan of a Star sect member!" Fan no. 2 chimed in.

"I agree! You should definitely participate! With your skills, there's no doubt you'll become a member!" Fan no. 3 added.

"Well... I still have three years to decide. I'll wait until the time comes to determine whether my future lies with the Star sect or not." Shaun remained undecided about joining. "Alright, everyone has rested enough. Let's continue our adventure in this dungeon!"

Shaun's fans packed their things and followed him. As they reached the entrance of a forest, they prepared to enter when suddenly, a loud roar echoed through the air.

The roar sounded different from the monsters they had encountered before, more ferocious and terrifying. "Everyone, stay calm! Stay here. That monster might be too dangerous for all of you."

Despite feeling scared, Shaun's dedicated fans didn't show any fear. They believed Shaun would be their hero, ready to protect them. In their minds, each fan saw themselves as a damsel in distress, waiting to be saved by their prince.

The roars continued, growing louder and closer. "The monster might be fast, so don't scatter when it arrives, okay?"

Shaun assessed the situation based on the rate and volume of the roars. He didn't want any of his fans to get hurt. They were the only ones left in this world who truly cared for him.

The trees began to tremble. 'It must be a massive monster!' Shaun took out a spatial artifact, preparing himself in case the monster turned out to be a real threat.

Just as Shaun was ready to use the artifact, he was taken aback by what he saw!
