Hearing this Leon frowned even more deeply,
'His obsession made him choose to train me? But he is a God what could even make him so obsessed, Harem?! Power?! Strength?! Sword King?! He can achieve all that and must have already achieved that, He is a God so very little things can make him so obsessed.'
The more Leo thought about this, the more curious he got.
Gladius could hear Leon's thought, so he smiled wryly... "My Obsession is hard to guess, even other Gods didn't know of my obsession unless I personally tell them of it
My obsession is to gain Complete mastery Over the Sword..."
Hearing Gladius's obsession, Leon was shocked shit, he never thought that this would be Gladius's obsession.
Ignoring Leon's Surprised expression, Gladius continued. "I had this obsession in me ever since the day I was born, this obsession is what made me the king of Sword, this obsession is what made me one of the strongest Gods that could destroy planets and even Galaxies with a slash of my sword. This obsession is what brought me to the unprecedented height of power, this obsession is what made me one of the most feared Gods in existence."
Leon continued listening, though he had questions to ask, he chooses not to, all because he did not want to disturb Gkadius in his trance, Gladius needed someone to talk to, and he had to be that person that would listen without interrupting.
'I don't know that a powerful God Like him can have psychological issues' Leo sighed.
Undeterred by Leo's thought, Gladius continued. "But everything was not enough for me I have done everything to gain complete mastery but it was not enough. Nothing I did was enough, and nothing I do would ever be enough, and at that point, I knew I had reached a roadblock, an unbreakable wall that stopped me from going higher in my mastery over the Sword..."
At this point, he stood up from his meditation state, and Leo followed suit.
Looking around the natural habitat of Leon's Soul subspace with an expressionless face, Gladius continued... "When I reached that wall, I knew that that wasn't the end, that there is more to learn, I tried everything to break through that wall, I did my possible best but nothing was enough... It was then I found out that I needed help
I needed help so badly. And at that point in time, My obsession became more obsessive when I found out that alas all my hard work and suffering gave me only 50% mastery of the Sword."
"50% mastery!?" Leo muttered subconsciously with dreamy eyes.
Though everybody would be expecting The Sword God to be closer to 100% mastery over the sword, Leon included, it did not mean that 50% is disappointing.
For the 50% mastery alone was capable of making the Sword God Destroy planets and galaxies with ease, Leo couldn't help but imagine how much power the Sword God would receive if he had gained 100% mastery.
He also knew that it took Gladius a million years of practice to reach this level, he wonder if he would be able to reach that Level too.
Nevertheless, Leon was not discouraged though. Still curious, he continued to listen carefully to Gladius.
"50% might seem much to you, but to me, it's nothing, I desired to reach that 100% that was my obsession and I wouldn't feel fulfilled if am not able to reach that goal, so with that, I continued to struggle against the wall, went on a quest to find anyone capable of making my breakthrough, put the millions of treasure which are in my possession as a reward for anyone who could help me break through that roadblock and achieve 100% Sword mastery."
As he reached this point, Gladius let out a disappointed sigh before continuing "No one was capable of helping me, absolutely no one, No matter how I searched or who I asked for help, nothing and no one was able to help. Me... Not even the God Of Knowledge, Wisdom, and Truth was able to help me. Absolutely no one!"
Sword God's voice was calm but Leon knew that only by talking this out would Sword God be able to let out the pent-up anger inside him, so as usual, he didn't say a word, nor did he say comforting words.
He knew for Gladius to accept him as his disciple and then tell him this, he must have a request and must have placed all his hopes on Leon.
Gladius was long dead, what Leo was conversing with now was the sentient soul of Gladius... So it's completely impossible for Gladius to leave Leon's consciousness space alive with his consciousness intact, because the moment he leaves, he loses all the memories of his past life and begins a journey to the realm of the Dead.
As it's not normal for a soul, even that of God to die and still have its consciousness intact.
So even though dead, the obsession of the Sword God that was still deep in his soul still lives on except that he had no way of fulfilling it.
"When everybody I asked and all my effort the quest I made to find a way... turned negative, I turned into depression. Almost succumbing to the desire that all my effort was for naught. The fact that no one could help me was now solid and I accepted that, But then Zeus, the God Of Laws over Element and beyond gave me hope
He told me that he could do it, that he has found a way. That was the time my obsession came to life again, He told me that he would help me and ask me for only one favor in return, I pretty much answered that I would do anything if he could help me... He proved to me that he can hp me by teaching me the Laws of The Sword, as that law, is the reason why I can't break through the roadblock"
