They arrived at the amusement park and got out of their car when they were able to secure a parking spot.
He smiled at her; "C'mon," he said as he led the way.
"Do you want to grab something first?" he asked.
"No, I'm good." she said.
"Okay. So what do you want to try out first?" he asked and she started to laugh.
"This is silly," she said.
His lips pulled up in a smile, he didn't know he likes seeing her laugh, this much.
"I don't really know," she shrugged.
He held her hand and led the way. "Then let's try out the merry-go-round first," he said.
They were able to get on the merry-go-round. Silvia was ecstatic, she can't remember when last she did this. After the merry-go-round, they tried out the carousel. She didn't know how much she missed all these till this moment.
"Thank you," she said to Davian who has just offered her a cotton candy he had bought for them.
"It's very good," Davian stated.
"Hmm hmm," she nodded in agreement.
"Let's try out the wheels," Davian beamed, after they were done with their candies.
"Uh... I'm not-"
"C'mon," he urged grabbing her hand as he led them to the ferris wheel.
"No Davian, I don't really-"
"Hush Silvia," he cuts her off again as she tried to object.
They entered a seat in the ferris wheel and waited patiently for the personnels to commence the ride. His eyes went to Silvia, she looked tensed.
Soon the ride began at a moderate speed and she became even tenser the higher they got, her hands gripping the seats.
He held her hand and she gazed at him;
"Are you scared of heights?" he asked and she nodded.
"You should have told me earlier," he responded.
"I tried to," she said.
"But that day, at the hill?" he pointed out.
"Didn't you see I never looked down?" she was also very scared that day but did a good job at hiding it but she doesn't know why she couldn't do same now.
"It's okay. Just breathe, I'm here...nothing's going to happen to you," he winked at her and she smiled.
"I got you, so relax," he said holding her more firmly.
She soon relaxed and the ride wasn't that frightening anymore. Had she just overcome her acrophobia?
They got off the ferris wheel, their hands still intertwined as they strolled around the park.
"Why are you scared of heights?" he asked.
She was quiet for some while before responding;
"It started after my kidnap. I got the phobias after it and I'm yet to get over them regardless of all the therapies," this was the first time she was opening up to someone else other than her friends.
"But you do get on flights, don't you?" he asked.
"That's a totally different situation. I don't look out the window or something. I'm seated comfortably in the plane," she stated.
"Okay," he replied.
"What other phobias do you have?" he asked and she snickered.
"I'm also scared of intensive fires which you already know, that's all," she answered.
"Wow. I...I never expected you to be going through all these. I thought maybe the only phobia Silvia Reyes must have is atelophobia," he said and chuckled at the last part. She too shared in his small laugh.
"But I think I just got over it...Acrophobia," she continued.
"Is that so?" he replied.
"Don't be so sure," he added. A smug grin on his handsome face as they walked towards the rollercoaster. She didn't even realize when they had gotten there.
"Let's give it a try. See if you've really gotten over it," he said.
"I'm...I don't know..." she trailed off.
"Let me help you get over your phobias, Silvia. Am I asking too much of you?," he pleaded and she nodded after a couple of seconds.
They took their seats on the rollercoaster;
"The ride will start in the next five minutes, please fasten the protection provided," the voice of one of the personnels in charge of the rollercoasters rides, announced over the speakers.
They fastened the protective features immediately. He smiled at her;
"You ready?" he asked.
"Are you trying to help me or trying to get back at me for something-Ahhh" she cuts herself off as she screamed loudly because the ride had begun and not in a moderate speed at all.
Davian laughed.
Silvia shut her eyes immediately, it was too much for her. Ever since the kidnap, she was too scared to even look down from a room's balcony talkless of riding in a rollercoaster. She thought she had gotten over it at the ferris wheel.
"Open your eyes, Silvia..." she heard Davian say. She shook her head violently, she could feel the intensity of the wind as the rollercoaster moved from one higher slope to another. She wanted to throw up.
"There's nothing to fear, open your eyes and enjoy the moment," he said again.
She opened her eyes slowly but shut it again immediately she saw the attitude they had reached, both of her hands gripped tightly unto Davian. She could feel his body vibrate as he laughed, she's so going to get back at him for this.
She felt his lips close to her ear as he whispers; "Open your eyes Silvia or I'm going to kiss you"
Her eyes shut open immediately and she gazed at him, her eyes a little widened at his words. He chuckled at her expression, he never knew she could get this adorable.
"I was just kidding, but see...it made you open your eyes," he said and she could feel the heat on her cheeks. Why did she open her eyes all because of those few words.
Her eyes went downwards and her grip on him tightened but she didn't look away nor close her eyes, her heart was running a marathon right now.
"See, nothing to fear at all," he said. He could feel her grip on him loosen.
"Spread your arms like this," he demonstrated.
"And enjoy the trill...Woohoo," he continued.
She laughed and did spread and arms;
"Woohoo..." she exclaims too, excited. It wasn't bad at all.
...
"(Still laughing)...That was fun," Silvia said as they got off the rollercoaster.
"And it did help you. I'm so awesome," he bragged. She shook her head, crossing her arms beneath her bosoms.
"Don't think too high of yourself," she rained on his parade and walked a little ahead, a smug look on her beautiful face as she bits her lower lip.
"Okay, milady," he caught up with her and she snickered.
They both ice creams and sat on a bench to relax as they savoured their ice creams.
"Are you still bored and tired?" he asked.
"A little," she lied.
"What? You can't be...with me?" he looked like a sad puppy. She shook her head once more;
"You can really act like a teenager at times, Mr. Randell," she expressed.
He nodded; "I get that a lot,"
"I bet you do," she affirmed and got some ice cream on the tip of her nose as she tried to look away.
"You've got something on your-"
"Oh..."
"Let me get it for you," he offered and leaned forward.
"No-" she was cut off as he was already closed to her and he licked off the ice cream from the tip of her nose.
She became as red as a tomato, her fingers went to her nose.
"Why did you do that?!" she asked.
He laughed once again; "You're lucky I didn't lick off the ice cream on your lips instead,"
"U-Uh un..." she stammered as she licks her lips. Why was she acting like a sweet sixteen?-She scolded herself.
"Or do this..." he trails off as he kissed her cheek abruptly. Her heart skipped a beat and she stood up from the bench immediately.
'Why are you reacting like this, Silvia Reyes,' she continued the scolding.
"Your cheeks are really red," he continued to tease her, his head tilted as he smirks. Does he know what his words and actions were doing to her?
He stood up and came close to her, she moved a few steps backwards.
"You're acting strange, Ms. Reyes. (Gasps overexaggeratedly)...Don't tell me..." he grins sardonically.
"Don't tell you what?" she asked.
"Have you fallen for me already?" he blurted.
"?!"
