Diana came back into the room, and she held a black box. "Since you want power and I want the disctrotion of the black blood ascetic cult, I will help you attain an oath. What's in this box is the study material you will need." she walked over to Elijah, she gave him the black box it was heavy "so all of this is the study material I need?" she answered quickly" yes, if you have any questions it will be in the book so I highly recommend that you thoroughly read it."
He nodded to her, walked to the door, then asked, "Is it okay if I leave to go study it now?" she nodded and then yelled at him
"wait, I forgot to give you this. " She gave him a golden crossed necklace, it gave a warm feeling like something was alive in it. " This won't help, but it should upside the corruption" Elijah stared at the necklace with amazement.

He left the alleyway, it was in the middle of the night, and the red moon hung high in the sky. Elijah walked for a few minutes, then checked his pocket. He pulled out a skeleton pocket watch it had a black and golden color, and he clipped it open the time was nine past fifteen. He got the watch when he was walking around the different streets he got it for two Rio.
He stared at the black box. It was about as big as a child's head.
People wondered about the streets; the pavement was damped, yet the air felt clean to the skin, and it was slightly chilly.
In a few minutes, Elijah reached his old apparent (there's something I need to check here). The building was dark, no lights were inside, and it had a creepy air. Elijah walked into the lobby, which was empty. There was no one, not even rats.
Elijah climbed the stairs and reached the second floor, his room was close by when suddenly something moved in the background, it was like a shadowy tenticale had wrapped it self around him. Every corner he looked it he could see a pair of deep red eyes (holy shitholyshitholyshit….) he repeated that thought over and over while he ignored the eyes, Elijah opened the door to his apartment inside he saw a regular two-room apartment. Elijah went into Marcus's room, it was clean and tidy, yet something felt off.
He went around the room searching, but for what?
after a few seconds, Elijah found a note
"the next time I see you I won't be th-"
The note was cut off (…did something bad happen to him?, did that cult get to him?..) he thought to himself after a few minutes of thinking (the note was left here by him, but at the same time something about it feels off, such as the placement, it was like someone was telling me to find it. Could this weird feeling I've been having since I left that alleyway have something to do with this?)
i only came here because of Diana's theory about me, I wanted to check if any of us had any connections with the black blood ascetic cult; her theory seems to be true in a way..I can't fully involve myself with this, yet I need to gain an oath so that if I'm attacked, I can at least protect myself.) Elijah placed the note in his pocket and then left the halls, no longer having that creepy aura.
in the streets, Elijah called and raced to the stop to get on to the carriage, it was a miracle he managed to reach there in time; the carriage was big enough to hold at least eight people; inside the carriage sat three people young women and an older man. the drive was quiet the entire time once the carriage was near "Sliver Way Street"( I never noticed that this was the street name)
'help me
ottos voice echoed in the empty night. Elijah ignored the voice (why does he keep on saying the same thing over and over)
'get rid of that note!'
Elijah was near the entrance of the church when he heard that ring in his ears, and it was Otto, (the note….should I trust this guy?…nope I'm inside the church with the protection of the god of combat what's the worst thing that could happen?... i probably should give the note to Bargi so that he can check it out ) Once Elijah entered, he felt eyes starring at him from a boundless distance; it felt like someone was looking at him with hungry eyes; Elijah was frozen in that spot (should I try and speak the god of combats honfaric name?..no I can't even move or speak).
This lasted for a few hours, and by the time Elijah knew it, it was morning. two workers came by. They were stuck just like Elijah (it got them too..). At this moment, Cassian came. "What are you three-" Before he could finish his sentence, his face grew grim "Are they finally acting?" Cassian pulled the three to bargis office, bargis skin was a giant orange it looked like he had spent years out at sea.
he wore a red robe on his shoulders and a small hat on his head." I was about to head out, what's the problem?" Cassian took a second to answer then added, "They are acting" Bargi's face froze, it was like he had seen someone die "We have to call the insquirters and the raven squad". By this time, Elijah finally got movement, he took a second to breathe, then added, "The other night when I was out, I was checking out the disappearance of my roommate during that time when I entered 'lows sleep,' no one was there, not even the rats that were a bother to the people living there.
There was nothing, when I went up the stairs, it felt like a shadowy tentacle had wrapped itself around me once that happened, I saw a pair of blood-red eyes following me it stopped once I got into my room. I then found this note" Elijah handed the note to Cassian, he looked at then a fearful expression appeared on his face" That might have been a trap; I'm surprised you are even alive".
"We should get ready for them; we are fighting the witches of dawn." Elijah tightly held the black box in his hands as he heard the name ( that name sounds weird, but why does it send chills down my spine?) "People don't know much about them but historians have speculated that The Witches of Dawn was a cult created during the first epoch in the age of dawn, they were a group of thieves before, but they found power and formed a cult " Cassian added, he wasn't talking to Bargi but he was talking to Elijah
"why are they called the witches of dawn if they are just thieves?"
"they are called that because of their evolution."
"Evolution?"Elijah asked. Bargi stopped Cassian from answering and then added
"do you remember what I told you about levels and how each thing you do is an act, and if that act is noticed by a higher being, they are able to level up. They are called witches because they don't use such a system they use sequence. It's the same thing, but the rules for them are different. The act is nearly a gate for them; the gate is closed, so to get stronger, they have to form a key through their own spirituality. Which means that they have to get it from different creatures such as humans and spirit creatures." he said.
"then that lady that almost ripped me off was one of them?" Bargi nodded, then added
"decided what your oath will be by Friday this week you will meet with Miss Delay by Sunday, with the rise of the witches of dawn, it is dangerous for you to head out, so I suggest you stay inside the church"{An:in the time line its been like three days he started on a Saturday night, now its tuseday, for those that were confused}(so I have to decide by the end of the week …..no, I will decide today) in a few minutes, he left the room. he went to the library and read the books that Diana had given him.
the book had contents about the history of the oath and its core powers. The pale knight oath allows you to make contracts in which you can to bizarre things, such as what Otto did for the contract to work, and agreement must be met between the pair, after reading a few more page going into more detail about contracts h reached the part he wanted
stage 9: Pale Knight.
the human body has improved both mentally and physically; the user gives off an aura of loneliness. spirits are always near them; this loneliness allows them to contract with spirits that trust the user the most.
Ability- contractor: the user has gained the ability to form contracts with spirits but they have to gain the trust of said spirit. Usually, this means doing a task for these spirits once both parties have agreed upon a contract.
The user can then use the sports as their eyes. As such, they share sense; they can't do any physical damage, however, but with the loneliness aspect of the oath.
Each time this spirit touches someone, they will feel a sudden loneliness. The more the spirit interacts with said person, the deeper the loneliness will stick, which can cause some mental damage, which could lead to the death of said person.
Ability-Eye of the weak: the user gains a semi-special eye that allows them to peek into the emotional states of the dead and alive.
With this they can gauge what a spirit wants or when a person is mentally dying, the eye if used right can allow someone to look at the mental weakness of a person's mind.
The user gains cold resistance, and they gain the ability to be sleepless-they won't need sleep, so they can stay awake for days and not feel fatigued
Elijah closely read the book, he checked the other pages, but it only had that one Ascension "If I go down this path, then I will be able to form contracts with spirits…if they can be used as guides or weapons, then the possibilities are endless" Elijah smiled
"what are you doing?"
