Chapter 19 - kidnapping and threatening

Neha (POV)

"No, I will eat it myself. Don't touch me," I snapped.

Edward smirked and said, "Good girl."

"Good girl, my foot! Damn it, I want to kill him," I thought. After we finished eating, his mother suddenly announced, "Next week is your wedding."

"Oh, I see. Whose wedding? By any chance, are you saying it's mine?" I asked. "And if you are, then it's in your dreams. I will never marry your son. If I had to choose between death and your son, I'd gladly choose death."

She looked at me coldly and said, "I'm not asking; I'm telling you."

Edward said in, "Mom, thanks. I love you."

"Love? My foot! You're all fools!" I stood up in anger and shouted, "Who are you to decide my life? This is my life, and I will decide who I want to marry!"

Before they could say more, I stormed out. I felt relieved that he didn't stop me, but it was also strange. I figured it was best to go home and get some sleep. After that, I went home, changed clothes, and went to bed after such a long day.

Here's a rewritten version of your story:

Edward's POV:

I asked my mother, "Why don't you let me stop her?" She replied, "I have my own plan. Prepare for your wedding—it's next week." Then she added, "Jay, you're not allowed to go to that bank again."

"But mom, listen to what I said—" I started, but she cut me off with a firm "Yes."

I asked my mother about her plan, and she said it would take some time to think through. She also told me not to call or text her for the rest of the week. I reluctantly agreed.

Six days passed, and without her, it felt like six years had gone by.

I went to my mother's room and said, "Mother, I have a plan." She nodded for me to continue.

I said, "Mom, Neha's relatives are greedy, and I've heard she hates them, except for a few children she really likes."

My mother asked, "Who does she like?"

I replied, "Her first uncle's two younger daughters, who are about ten and twelve years old, and her second uncle's younger son, who is nine years old. Since she doesn't have any siblings, she's really attached to them."

"So, what are you suggesting?" my mother asked.

I proposed, "What if we kidnap them and threaten her to marry me? She wouldn't be able to say no. We could bribe their parents, and they'd be on our side."

My mother looked at me with surprise and then said, "I can't believe it—how could you think of something like that?"

I was confused. "Did I say something wrong? I thought it was a good idea."

She smiled and said, "You really are my son. It's a good idea, but you need to hurry—tomorrow is your wedding."

"Mom, there's no need to hurry," I replied. "I've already taken care of it."

She smiled approvingly. "Good, my child. Let's wait for tomorrow."

I nodded, "Okay."

Neha's POV:

It's been six days, and I have a strange feeling that something big is about to happen. I tried to reassure myself, telling myself to relax.

I went to the bank, but everyone was acting strangely. Some people even congratulated me. When I asked why, they wouldn't tell me, only saying it was a secret.

After One Day...

Today is the seventh day, and I'm feeling a little scared. I know him well enough to be worried.

I was sitting on my bed, playing games on my phone when it suddenly rang. It was my uncle calling. At first, I didn't want to answer, but I eventually did and asked, "Why are you calling me?"

He said, "Your younger cousins have been kidnapped."

"What are you saying? Are you crazy?" I exclaimed.

He replied, "No, and they said if we call the police, they'll kill them."

"When did this happen?" I asked.

"Yesterday," he replied.

I told him, "Wait, I'll think of something," and hung up. I was trying to figure out what to do. Should I call the police? But what if they hurt my cousins? I've already lost my siblings; I don't want to lose them too.

Suddenly, my doorbell rang. I got up and asked, "Who is it?"

A voice replied, "If you want to save your cousins, open the door."

In my panic and love for my younger cousins, I didn't think it through and opened the door. To my shock, it was Edward and Laiba, holding a bridal dress and jewelry.

I angrily demanded, "What is this?" and tried to close the door, but it was too late. Edward grabbed my hand and forced me into my room.

"Let me go, you crazy man!" I shouted, but he didn't listen. He threw me onto the bed and locked the door.

He looked at me coldly and said, "Your cousins are in my hands. If you want to save them, then marry me!"
