Chapter 6 - Scene.

"Pfffff... Pfffff... Pfffff..." Jack was innocently sleeping on his table, a few hours ago he decided to clear every job he had before he returned to his home but jobs and useless papers were just too much for him to handle.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

The door was knocked on by someone, this knocking was gentle like someone was afraid of disturbing Jack, Jack opened his eyes slowly and said "Who is it?" He was sleepy from all that work.

"It is I, Sheriff Swanson. There's a job that requires your attention. Please be outside within 10 minutes." Donald said and went away not to disturb Jack.

Jack opened his eyes slowly fully and looked outside, it was night, and no sun could be seen anywhere, Bright full moon filled the sky with light, it was a beautiful scene to see, stars could be seen from where Jack was, this was a beauty of a world that wasn't hunted by the constant danger of pollution, under a beautiful shadow of the moon he could see everything in his room, he took a look at his clock, it was an old beautifully carved clock, it was also a Cuckoo Clock that had a little cute bird inside.

It was 3 AM at the moment.

"Man, who does crime at this hour, don't you guys need to sleep..." Jack tirelessly stood up and stretched his hands.

He took a deep breath and smiled "Looks like Air here is still very clear, this is refreshing from all that car gas and factories in my time." He took his coat and went away to the door, he wanted to see what happened.

--

Outside.

A few officers were standing there talking about something, there was a car near them bathing in the moon's shadow, and when they saw Jack coming towards them they stopped talking and waved their hands towards him.

"Hey, Reid here!!!" One of them said this to Jack.

His name was William Wilson, one of Jack's colleagues

There was also his direct subordinate Frederick Abberline.

And third one was James Smith, another of Jack's colleagues.

"Hey, what's happening here William? i was called out by the sheriff," Jack asked William.

"I don't know man, i believe the telephone line activated someone notified us of a murder, i believe it is in Whitechapel district few minute drive from there, let's just wait for the sheriff he is going to tell us the rest," William answered with a blank face, in 1888 murders like this were very common. and police were used to it.

A few minutes later Sheriff came out of the building, he was wearing a police outfit with his 3 Star and traditional British hat. He came close to the policeman and said "Okay, let's go investigate this freaking case, it was a murder i believe, we have been given the information about it 10 Minutes ago, what's wrong with this criminals man, why can't they do their job in the day" Donald complained with full face and asked them to sit down.

Jack took a look at the car, it was more modern than what he had before and looks like one of the newest and best models, it wasn't a wheeled vehicle anymore, it could be called a car now.

BRRRRRR!!!

A loud Engine started and they went towards the murder place.

--

10 Minutes Later.

They reached the place where the murder happened. it was bustling with people surrounding something, most of them had very flashy clothes, and it looked like they were from rich families or they were rich themselves. flashy lights were everywhere creating a carnival-like atmosphere, once they saw the police they let them pass immediately.

This district was packed with many different things.

"It's the police! Leave immediately!"

"I do ponder whether they shall undertake an inquiry into this heinous crime."

"Indeed, it captures my interest."

People's murmur could be heard everywhere, They came to the Whitechapel district which was known for its bustling cities and bars everywhere. there was a luxurious restaurant close to the place where the murder happened.

They down from the car after Sheriff Donald parked it in the parking lot, parking lots here were just at the appearing period, they weren't everywhere but such a luxurious restaurant definitely would have it.

"It's here, in the trash valley." Donald notified them of this as he went towards the backside of the restaurant. Three guys looked around the place, they were experienced in this kind of thing, especially Fredrick Abberline, he learned directly from Reid to look for any suspicious suspects around the place they were investigating.

Jack went towards them but his Detective instinct activated, he looked to his right where a cloaked person was present, the moment the Cloaked person saw Jack it tried to run away.

"WAIT STOP!!!" Jack yelled out towards it, he took out a common police revolver Webley RIC with a .476 Cartridge.

"WHAT'S WRONG REID!!!" Donald called out to him, he also took out Colt's revolver and pointed at the place where Jack was pointing.

"Sir, i saw a suspicious cloaked individual that ran away immediately i saw him, we need to capture him!!!" Jack didn't wait for Donald's response and immediately went towards the place where that cloaked individual was, he never took his eyes off the person.

BANG!!

With a very athletic-like speed he towards it.

"STOP RIGHT THERE!!!" He noticed the black cloak and immediately ran up to it.

But... it was a deception, the individual ran away immediately while leaving their cloak.

Jack took the cloak up and looked around.

"Whoever it was, he or she was fast... Puff... Puff... Puff..."

He returned to the Sheriff.

--

"What's wrong Reid, you scared us with your sudden movement, did you catch the suspect?" Donald was looking at Reid with some kind of worry in his eyes.

Jack got his heart warmed because of this, even if he wasn't Reid he knew he could rely on this kind of people for a while in this unknown world timeline.

Jack smiled and said "Yes but it was only a cloak, looks like we have a suspect with a good head. we can go see the case now, this cloak can also be taken as evidence" Jack got up and went towards the backside as well.

He had a few suspicions he needed to confirm after seeing the cloaked figure, and if he was true this case would turn from a normal common murder case to much more.

End Of Chapter.
