BANG!
"Damn it, just what am i missing" Jack banged his hand on the table, his instinct developed over extensive experience for 25 years was telling him he was missing something like he was wrong about something.
"Did i miss anything about the clues?" Jack got confused.
The way Reginald was acting was giving him the clues he needed to deduce the identity of the killer, he didn't understand why was he feeling this way.
"Huh, alright let's get over everything, first in the future, i discovered that cuts every being had were done extremely slowly just like Reginald was doing, that checks out, second was every single one of the beings was brutally tortured before they were killed, it was like some psychopathic killer wanted to enjoy their suffering, that also checks when seeing Reginald's face when he was cutting that meat. there was an enormous amount of blood stains on the beings Jack The Ripper killed, which also checks out." Jack remembered squirting blood from that cow meat and how was Reginald reacting, he was thoroughly enjoying the show.
Jack simply lay on his chair, he was frustrated now, he didn't have advanced technology he could use to find out why was he worried so much. Jack finally understood every single era needed its detective, he needed to learn how to use primitive technologies here. Dependence on modern gadgets wasn't good, he still had much to learn in this timeline if he wanted to be a good detective here and there.
Jack stood up and took his jacket, he was going to rest today.
--
Jack was walking down a Victorian London, the night's breeze was flowing upon him, he was walking down on a crowded street, everyone was wearing some kind of coat, it was a cold night today.
BOOM!!
Jack got slightly startled by a noise he heard in front of him, he looked up and saw an entrance of a building where there were many kids gathered watching a clown perform an act. there were parents near them smiling.
"Hey there, youngsters, gather 'round and have a gander at this! POP!" Clowns smiled and made kids look at his hand.
POP!!
From a black hat small balloon emerged.
"Cor blimey! WOOOW!" Kids were amazed at something like this because before the hat was empty.
"Pray, cast your gaze upon it once more! LOOK AGAIN!" The clown shook his hands and made a few movements, balloon transformed into a shape of a dog.
Kids were laughing and cheering.
"Would you young lads and lasses care to witness more of our astounding spectacle? Then, for a mere sum of 15 Pence, step inside and behold our remarkable performance!" Clown smiled and continued to act
(Authors: Note: 15 Pence is like 7$, i don't know man British currency back then was complicated as fuck)
It was a peaceful and beautiful moment.
Jack was smiling at this moment, a few memories emerged from his heart, and some sadness could be seen in his eyes. Jack then shook his head and looked at the big door behind the clown.
10 Minutes Later.
The clown went in.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the act shall resume in a few minutes. I kindly request your readiness for an immensely enjoyable experience. If you wish to witness it, please enter." Clown smiled and bowed a little then he opened the door and went inside.
Kids could see fun designs and people there, and their eyes lit up, Parents were doubtful at first but after looking inside they decided to go in, they forgot about how expensive it was.
Jack smiled and he also went in.
There was a joyous atmosphere inside, parents and kids were sitting on the benches that were continuously moving around a platform that was curtains now. this was where circus members would perform. The place was decorated with different balloons and different colored posters that was showing people that would do tricks today.
"I kindly request your entrance fee, my dear." A kind lady that was behind a counter next to the entrance told him.
Jack took out 15 Pence and went to sit on one of the benches close by.
It was already packed and filled with people so he needed to snatch one quick, he also didn't want to take up the good sits ahead close to the platform that was for kids. so he choose the sit way back.
Jack first didn't notice but he sat down next to a Young Girl about 25 years old, she held a camera it looked like she was someone that liked to take photos. Jack sat down and looked in front and waited for the show to start.
The girl noticed him and said, "It was a tiresome day huh?"
Jack turned around and was stunned, this Young Girl was extremely Beautiful with brown hair and black eyes, she had a shirt and trousers, she was waiting for the show very excitedly.
"Yeah, it was a long day of work, Wow tho, American accent, you are not from around here right?" Jack responded and asked a question.
The girl smiled and said "Yep, I'm from Canada, just came here for a vacation. Always wanted to visit that famous circus in England, heard it's a lot of fun. Margaret Brown By the way" Margaret introduced herself, she held the hand out.
Jack smiled and shook her hand "Jack, Jack Edmund Reid." They got their hands away from there and waited for the show to start. It looked like it was taking quite a lot of time.
Jack looked at the camera and was slightly stunned "Improved Detective Camera??? wow, that is rare" Jack noticed how rare the camera Margaret was holding was.
(Authors: Note: Yes, the name is Improved Detective Camera i couldn't find a different name)
Margaret smiled and said, "Hey, this camera? It's a gift from my grandma. I've got these grand plans of becoming a top-notch photographer someday. And let me tell you, this camera with its upgraded roll film? It's way better than the Rochester View Camera, no doubt about it." Margaret caressed the camera very nicely
"Yeah, it is a good camera, but still Kodak N.1 Came out, that thing revolutionized the entire industry, wouldn't you agree???" Jack said it while looking at the Camera Margaret Had.
Margaret had a surprised look in her eyes ""Well, ain't that somethin'? You're in the know about that? Dang, the word sure does spread like wildfire. Yup, reckon the Kodak Industry is causin' quite a stir, huh?" Margaret Responded.
"Yeah, they are probably working on some other stuff" Jack responded.
They got together really nicely and talked about cameras and other stuff quietly a little bit after when the play started, Looks like Jack was very lucky to find another friend in this world, a good and important friend.
