•Shadow strike ( use a perk point for an update) ]

I stared at the screen. As more info started dumping on it.

[ Shadow Stike.

This specific skill allows the user to strike from enemies' shadows.

One-time use/ day. ( 1 perk point for update)

After the update, the user can reach two times per day! ]

This skill has some use for me but at this moment I do not think it will be wise to invest the perk point here. If I somehow fail to sneak attack the opponent then surely he would be well-guarded next time.

I need something more than this and at this moment all I can think of upgrading is my body. I must invest in myself.

I wondered about the situation and ended up investing in skin refinement.

[ Skin refined - 10℅ ]

I am living in extremely cold weather conditions and do not want to die again from the cold. On this side of the land, storms are heavy and dangerous. It's uncomfortable and unbearable.

Now at some point, I felt at ease, the effect of cold had minimized as if I had another layer of clothes around my body.

There was nothing much to it but I can tell it changed something in me.

We began heading back, the same way but this time I was more spirited than the old man. He walked slowly while I ran like a rabbit that we hunted.

Of course, it was all thanks to level-up.

The snow crunched beneath my feet as I walked. The shoes I was wearing were damp and snowy but I felt a little comfortable. It was not too much but a noticeable change.

After coming home we took a rest.

I swung the axe cutting the log pieces in two. It would have been better if the axe's swings were considered sword swings. I would have reached my goal of ten thousand in no time.

[ 3567/ 10000]

I sighed, disappointed.

Unless I cut the wood with a sword my count is not going to reach up to that point. I need to find a way to hit two birds with one stone and for that, I need a durable sword. The one that will not get easily damaged.

There was a local smith in Stormfront. He was also one of the old man's friends and this time when we visited The village, I was thinking of requesting a sword that could easily cut wood.

It took a day to reach Stormfront and after reaching the village the first thing we did was visit the inn. Unlike last time the inn seemed pretty full as many new people were there.

One group of adventurers sat at the corner table and two women one wore a clock but exposed her fair leg, thigh to a toe and another one had red short hair with a small frame and an irritated expression on her face. They were with a huge bald guy with an axe hung at their back and a soft facial featured boy with leather armor.

I paid no heed to them as we hit the counter, the inn owner smiled at us and took the gold we offered.

I noticed that the group's eyes were on us as the red-haired girl whispered something.

Why were they looking at us? I looked at my appearance. Do I look like an oddball?

My thoughts got interrupted by shouting, I saw a man's back as he continued to shout at a waiter. He poured the ale on his face and demanded another one.

The owner of the inn rushed at them, apologizing to the man and ordering the waiter to bring him another mug.

"It's on the house sir" The owner bowed as the woman by his side chuckled.

My heart stopped, she was the same bandit. That bitch, I felt anger inside me welled up. How dare she show her face in here.

Our eyes met as her lips curved in a smirk. She winked at me and then pulled down the garments over her breast revealing her fair skin to the peaks.

Both men by her side began laughing as she giggled covering her peaks.

I remained silent, indeed it was a sight to behold but her face was more than enough for me to discard every beautiful thing about her.

She fucking killed the old man. She will pay for it, she must pay.

The old man tugged at me, motioning me to follow outside.

We sold the stuff to the shopkeeper, Jamia had gone outside with her mother to collect berries and fruits so she was not here.

We stayed there for a while and then an old man took me to the smith. At the corner of the village and near the river.

The Smith Garton was famous around here, all the equipment was made by him, and even the weapons I got from the shop were made by him.

He primarily produces everyday equipment which had more demand among the villagers rather than swords or armor but the old man assured me that he would not dismiss his request as he was now a grandson of Jeriu.

I still don't know how to pronounce the name of an old man.

When we arrived I saw the robed woman and a guy in leather armor trying to convince Smith to repair their weapons.

The man in his late fifties shook his head. "I no longer repair weapons, you have to look somewhere else or buy from the shop"

Those adventures stood there chatting with each other maybe figuring out what to do next.

The old man stepped in shaking his head. "you still do not take requests from strangers"

To the old man's response, he smiled and then said. "forget about me, how are you not dead yet?"

"I am not as easy as you think I am " He laughed and then gestured for me to come inside the smithy. I followed him inside as those two adventurers stood gawking at me.

Wow, it feels awesome when you have connections

"Is this your grandson? I heard from Udan" He smiled at me. "Young man, what brings you here? Do you perhaps want to learn something from me?"

"Of course not, he is going to learn everything from me" the Old man pointed. "And his dream is to be a Warrior, not a poor smith"

The old man laughed causing a peeved expression on Smith's face.

"You have a death wish don't you?" Smith turned to his tools. "Take whatever you want, young man, and yes don't be like this clown"

I hesitated. "I want a sword, a heavy and blunt type of sword"

The smith stared at me as the old man shook his head.

"You are indeed keen on that, why not tell him where you want to use it so at least he could understand what kind of weapon you want" the Old man notified me.

I nodded and told the real objective behind the sword.

"Sharp one won't do then, how about rigid and heavy? It will be enough for your training and even to cut logs"

I blurted out excitedly. "Can you make it? Yes right that's the one if possible"

"I have a rough knowledge of it but do not fear I already have something similar to that, all it needs is finishing " Smith cracked his knuckles. "it will be done by tomorrow"

"Awesome, we will come next morning then," I said thanking the smith for it beforehand.

Just when we were about to walk away the women in the robe stopped us.

"Excuse me, Can you please help us?"
