Beom-in watched his mother work around the house, quietly singing a song. He had never thought much about his mother being a journalist who covered the crime page. For Beom-in, she was a hero who battled against criminals, and he had always been proud of her. Only after he decided to pursue Zoe's killers did he realize how much risk his mother must have taken all her life to do her job. Beom-in had always respected his mother, but he felt he had a newfound respect for her after realizing how much she had achieved in her life. Beom-in sighed, got up from where he sat and went up to his mother.
"Mum, are you done? Can we talk for a bit?"
"I'm almost done. Sit here for five minutes, then we can talk." She said as she made him sit at the dining table. After a few minutes, she returned with tea and sweets. She sat, giving her son a charming smile.
