Man-shik lay on his steel bunk bed, staring at the prison ceiling, simply bored. He turned his head and looked at his cellmate, a silent, small man who hated speaking. Numerous scars marred his body and face.
'Bet you have much to hide, mate. Let's see how long you can keep your secrets.'
Man-shik's prison life was a lonely one. Due to being in a special ward, he was not allowed to mingle with the ordinary prisoners. In fact, a few prisoners had even attempted to attack him in his previous prison. Consequently, he had been transferred to his current facility for safety reasons. With nothing but the Bible to keep him company, Man-shik had grown tired of the silence in his dirty little cell. He had spent several weeks alone until he received a new cellmate.
