Lilith and Faith came out of Gideon's room, Lilith's steps seeming unsteady. Neither she nor he had expected Elijah and his friends to run away. It was clear that Faith, who was in charge of the barracks, would get some kind of suspension. Meanwhile, Lilith was negligent in not keeping an eye on Elijah.
Both of them will surely be severely punished.
It was so quiet outside, they were both just silent. Still in a state of shock after hearing the news that the prisoner had escaped. Not long after, Gideon called to them.
"I don't know what our fate will be," Lilith muttered, her voice sounding tired.
"They can't arrest us, Lil. We didn't know anything, we were just careless." Faith patted the woman's shoulder. "Don't worry, everything will be all right."
