"Master Gideon is interrogating me, Master," Phebe replied, showing a worried expression on her face. "Elijah and I are acquainted. He saved me once. That is why Master Gideon called me. You could say he suspected me."
Phebe immediately thought quickly to make an excuse and get away from Lilith, this one was the right alibi.
"Gideon?" said Lilith, half in disbelief.
Lilith tried to relate the events that had happened to the timeline, but her head felt foggy. Of course, she had to investigate the problem in a calmer and less tired state.
"He should have told me, since you are under my supervision," Lilith said.
"Master can ask that directly. I only answered what I knew."
Lilith was silent for a few seconds, then nodded. "Okay."
"In a situation like this, I understand that Master is under a lot of pressure."
