Chapter 76
Emma Pov:
We head out of the capital and down a road along the lake. The lake is massive, it isn't called a great lake for no reason I guess. The capital was located in a Temperate Rainforest. The place we were going was also nearby the Temperate rainforest. It followed the Kawamagi river and from the looks of it, our house was nearby.
We went on for around about six miles till we reached a old river crossing. "This is where it starts, now while it may be old, it is a little bit on the big size for an estate. You use the keys to enter and you can explore it, now this road is very old and not used. You may have noticed that on your way here, so nobody will intrude. The house is in the Temperate deciduous forest on the other side of this rainforest. I don't know what condition the house is in though, it was built hundreds of years ago when there wasn't great technology. Also Aaron and Theo will be exploring with you, good day," The king, Rex, said as he left.
"Before you all go along, I have to go back, but I will leave Henry and Hannah to explore with you, if that's alright?," Samuel asks.
"Yeah, it'll be fine Samuel," Jake says as we al get out.
"Lets go already, I want to explore!," I yell going up to the gate. The gate was made of metal and it's true color no longer showed. But it was sturdy and not the least bit rusted, it was made of something durable.
"Alright, let me unlock it first, also we don't know what is on this property. No one has been on it in ages as you saw from the road," Hunter says coming up. He unlocks the gate and I push it open to run, but someone grabbed by collar.
"What did Hunter just say about exploring by yourself?," Jake says. Man does he know how to spoil the mood.
"I want to explore! Do you have a problem with that!," I yell back at him.
"Well, no, at least go with someone," He says, sighing.
"How about we explore after we get to the house? From what I got it is over 6000 acres, he gave us this instead of a town for a reason. It is a giant farm, now while people work it, we overview it. It hasn't been used in years as no-one wanted to take the time to manage it. Now a few young kids, powerful enough to protect a town appear. They can at least protect a few thousand acres from monsters and hire people to grow food," Hunter pointed out.
"Yeah, that is going to be a pain in the butt, we could also think about using it for other things. While we don't have to pay taxes until you are 18, we could try setting a business up here! Homes for endangered species, warehouses for companies we trust, and more! This will be a little fun!," Jake says excited.
At that I realize that our four guests and the maids and butlers are overwhelmed. I guess they don't have that type of capacity yet to handle this information. "Fine, but can I at least run down the road with Sunny and Night?," Emma asks.
"Fine, but you must stay within sight of us, we don't know if the path is overgrown. Also, do not investigate stuff without us," Hunter says and I nod.
"Sunny, Night, Lets go for a run," I called and they got out of the carriage. They were about the same size now, even if Night was younger, he was almost larger than Sunny. Aaron, Hannah, and their maids got in the carriage, looking out the window. Theo and Hunter got on the back, Theo's butler in the carriage. While Jake and Henry got on the front, with Henry's butler in the carriage.
Seeing that they were ready I started running forward with the wolves as they followed. I love the wind running through my hair, tail, and ears. I feel a gaze on me but can't pin point it, looking around there is nothing in the dense jungle. But I soon forget as we exit into the forest, this is nice. Looking back I see the carriage following behind, good I didn't lose them.
Looking around there are all types of trees, Oak, Dark oak, Birch, Spruce, and more! I wonder why all this wood has not been used for building? But then I come to a small clearing in the forest and I come to a stop. Man, is running like that tiring, especially when I don't use magic.
I can't use it, because the nobles, except hunter, don't and can't know about it. Also, it is extremely hard to run in a dress, why didn't I remember that. "Having a hard time?," Someone calls out. I look to see that it was Jake with a bright smile.
He knew and didn't remind me! Looking now, my dress is partly ruined, I guess I need a new one. "Fine, I will ride in the carriage," I say getting into the carriage with Sunny.
