Chapter 37
Aaron Pov:
Over the past month that I had been here I went shopping with Emma. Her clothes looked to be to nice to have been created in the wilderness. But she adamantly said that Jake had made them there in the past.
We went shopping because she was in need of clothes to wear. We decided to stop by the shop called Threads of Exodus. It was a shop that was in most major cities of the world. It sold a variety of clothes so we went there. But the owner had an outburst at Emma's clothes.
He said, "Where did you get clothes like that? The only place those were sold is Aqua town!"
Emma had taken this as a insult and said, "My brother made them for me! We didn't exactly have anywhere we could buy clothes and he is a expert so he made them himself!"
"You lie, they can only be made in the hundreds of year old factory in Aqua town! Which got destroyed in the last war!," The manager yelled.
"If you are going to yell at my friend, then you should know who I am at least," I say smiling innocently.
"No, sorry, who are you?," He questions insulting me. I am a princess, how does he not know me. The knights seeing this walk over and the Manager realizes what he just did. "I am very sorry, your highness, what can I do to earn your forgiveness?," He asks me.
"Well, my friend here is the daughter of a Earl, but they got attacked by monsters so they have been living in a forest. They didn't know where civilization was or how far since her parents died. Her brother knew how to sow so he made those clothes. We were just coming to get some better ones, so if we could have some to take I will let this go," I say. I did that not telling the full story for safety's sake of her family. But if they are that rare, how did her brother make them?
We get some new clothes that are wearable for a noble and go around the town. There are many things that are nice. Noting how that manager failed to notice her nobility, I should send a complaint to their headquarters. We get in the carriage after looking through the town and head back. It was dinner time so we had dinner.
Then the next day came around with a messenger at the front gate. Samuel came back and made an announcement to us, "There was bad news. There is not only a Hurricane from the north coming down into the bay, which it shouldn't in this weather. But there is also a Snow storm coming up from the south. The capital is covered in snow and they are having a hard time getting around. In about a week they will meet on the bridge part of the continent as some would say. It will make it impossible by sea already and impossible by land soon."
"If they just couldn't go be sea they would be here in in two weeks. But at this pace it will be another month at least. An when Snow storms are going on, monsters come down in hordes," Samuel admits showing how desperate this is.
"I will go get the Antivenom, I will be faster anyway, and the knight knows what I look like. Can I have a map of the route so I can meet them and as for the monsters. You could put a request in the guild and put out rewards for stopping them. But that would cost a lot of money, just so you know," Hunter says putting on his overcoat.
"Fine, I guess there is not stopping you. Plus I think you will actually be faster, and you are used to going through snow. The book will be in the library for you to finish when you return. The snow storm will be arriving in around six days. The path is...," Samuel talks to Hunter as the rest of us leave.
I look at Emma and she starts crying so I hug her. "It's going to be alright, he has been poisoned for months sure, but he has held on. He can hold on longer!," I tell her trying to comfort her.
"That's not the point, the point is that even if Hunter has Light brown Mana and a high MP. How long will it take him to get to the Antivenom and back. We never had snow storms in the glacier, and Hurricanes make them worse. Snow storms never happened in the glacier, let alone Hurricanes. But Snow storms are just snow falling, you combine that with high wind speed of 75 miles per hour. Think how cold it will be for a person who is almost ten!," She complains to me.
How does someone who is just a year younger than me that smart! "In this weather he will make it to the rider just before the storm hits. But it will take double the time or more back!," Emma cries falling to her knees.
"I won't be gone long, and you know how Jake is. He doesn't die just from not getting Antivenom for a few months. I will be back in two weeks, don't worry," Hunter says as he walks away.
"You heard him, he will be back in two weeks. Now lets go check on Jake," I say leading the crying Emma away.
