Chapter 26 - Chapter 26

Chapter 26

Narrator Pov:

Dallas and Ellison were very good kids with an incredible sense of right and wrong. Dallas had Silver hair and White eyes, he was not willies son, but didn't know that. He was also very muscular and did a lot of heavy lifting for Henry, who he was assigned to. He had to do that anyway as he was the spotter for when he was doing bench press and the like.

Ellison was similar with Black hair down to her midriff. She inherited more of her moms features than her brother. She to did not know that Willie was not her true father. She had red eyes and was also slightly muscular, but not enough that is was weird. She was Hannah's assigned maid and did whatever she asked.

Sure they knew that Royalty was bad to their father. But they never knew he wanted them dead. Knowing what they had to do they were about to leave when they saw their father doing something.

He pulled out a magic ball and started talking into it. The more he talked, the more they got scared. When he was done he had a devilish look on his face and left. After what they had heard they could not move, slowly but surely they got up. They made sure they were presentable and did not look like they heard anything.

They walked around slowly but then they heard their father. They did not want to talk to him yet so they hid in the closest room. But little did they know, that was Hunters room. Hunter was currently outside talking to Samuel and Willie. He sensed that the kids were hiding and were afraid of something so he said while yawning, "I haven't slept in two days. I am going to retire." Samuel and Willie nodded.

Samuel also noticed that Dallas and Ellison were in the room. He also knew that Hunter was no fool and if need be could stay up for another day. But he kept quiet knowing he would get to the bottom of it.

Hunter entered his room, locked the door, and turned to the bed. "You can come out from underneath the bed now. Your father and Samuel is gone, why were you hiding in here in the first place. An what is it that you are afraid of?," Hunter asked. Being a Dire wolf he had more acute senses. The kids tried their best to hide their fear scent as not to be found out, but they couldn't trick hunter. Samuel could barley smell it but couldn't distinguish it so he left it to Hunter.

Dallas and Ellison came out from underneath the bed and kneeled in front of him. "We are sorry for intruding," They said and were about to leave when Hunter stopped them.

"It may not be polite for a younger man to stop older people but you still haven't answered my question. I never asked for an apology, why were you hiding and what are you afraid of?," Hunter asks them. At that they share a look before turning back to Hunter.

Dallas started speaking, "We were in a room cleaning when someone started to come in. We hid in the Wardrobe, and it was our father. We were about to leave when he started muttering stuff. Back when he lived in Magagarapia, Royalty treated him badly. So he moved here with our mom and us when we were very young."

"Our mother didn't care that Royalty treated her badly. She just wanted to raise good kids, so she did. As he said we were about to leave, when we heard him say..," Ellison tells him about what they heard. At the last part Hunter freezes in shock.

"How long will Samuel be awake to. I can't ask Henry since he is sleep deprived like myself. Plus I don't want you guys to get into trouble," Hunter says to them.

"He should still be up for another hour with all those papers. But how old are you, you said we were older, but we are only 11 and 10," Dallas says.

"I am currently 9 and am turning 10 in February, Don't worry I will solve this matter myself," He says and they leave relived. They stay away from their father though for some time.

Hunter heads to Samuels Office and enters. Looking around only Samuel is in the Office so he closes and locks the door. "What do you need Hunter?," Samuel asks wondering why he locked the door.

"I was talking to Willies oldest kids. Apparently they overheard Willie talking about something they didn't like," At that Samuel puts his pen down and looks at Hunter.

"What did he say that scared his own children?," Samuel asks Hunter. At that Hunter proceeded to tell him what he had been told. The more he said, the more Samuel frowned and became mad.

At the end Hunter said, "I will take the blame as I don't want the children getting involved."

"Of course, young people should be spared from this. Now get me Will—," Samuel doesn't finish as there is a knock on the door. "Who is it?," Samuel calls.

"It's me, can I come in?," Willie calls from the other side of the door.

"Speak of the devil, yes you can come in," Samuel says as Hunter unlocks the door. Willie walks in as Hunter gives him a Innocent smile. "What was it that you wanted to talk to me about?," Samuel asks.

"I was just wanting to let you know that the Knight has set out," Willie says. At this Samuel and Hunter immediately know that what Dallas and Ellison said was correct.

"Do you mean the one to get the Antivenom, or the one to alert Jones? Yes I heard that you had a hard time with nobles where you lived earlier. But that doesn't mean that they are all bad." Samuel says at which Willie freezes up at the mention of jones.

"How did you find out?," Willie asks walking around to the left of the room where a window is.

"I was listening in on your conversation. Also, I really hate Jones!," Hunter says letting out a small amount of bloodlust. At that Willie flees out the window. He runs grabbing his youngest three that were out in the yard. His wife refuses to go as Hunter jumps down from the second floor to chase.

Willie runs off with them towards the East. Meanwhile, "He is much better than he seemed at first look. I guess not even I, a God, can see everything at once," Someone says.

"Yes, Humans are mysterious people," One of his nine companions say.
