Chapter 27 - Chapter 27

Chapter 27

Hannah Pov:

The knights set off early this morning for the town to get the Margrave. When I was going to get Henry I found his room empty, no Hunter either. So the Knight doesn't know that Henry might have gone to town. I wonder what will happen then, that will be funny for sure.

We just had lunch and are planning on heading to town tomorrow. We need to get Jake ready to go since he can't be carried by horses. The only reason the Knights that went to town had horses was because we found them when looking around. The rest of the horses got scared off so we need to take everything down by hand. Since Hunter isn't here, I have to figure out how to get Halfdan to carry some stuff.

"Hey, Emma!," I call out to the young girl. She was still in tattered clothes and that wasn't presentable. If I am correct Jake and Hunter are the same as her. She saw me and came over on her wolf, Sunny.

"Yeah, what do you need?," She asks without a care in the world that she doesn't look proper. But then again this is how she has acted for the last week now.

Seeing that she was paying attention I said, "We were needing help carrying stuff to town. I was wondering if you could convince Halfdan to help us carry some stuff down?"

"Yeah, I think I can, is that all?," She asks still oblivious to how she looks.

"Well, there is one more thing," I say shyly.

"What is it?," She asks.

"Your clothes, not to be rude, but they are Disgusting and Filthy. You need new ones, you are the daughter of an Earl after all," I point out.

"I guess you are right, but this is what we have been wearing since we went to the mountains. Rider had no way of getting us new clothes so we made our own. They were thick and of poor quality until Jake made some that were perfect. But seeing how only he could make them I went back to these since I didn't want to ruin them," Emma admits.

"Well, seeing on how we are getting the Antivenom soon, why don't we put them on," I suggest. Currently I am lying on the Antivenom part because I do my research. There is only one Dungeon in our nation and anywhere else it will be over two months and expensive. Escanoya Escanorngu, a Count, sells the Antivenoms they get from their large dungeon at low prices. Her parents and family members died from poison from animals. She wants to make sure that never happens so everything is sold at prices that even some commoners can afford. The only problem for us is she is over 500 miles away.

"Your right, lets go!," She says as we head to her room. It is surprising taking into account that she is only a year younger than me. My birthday is in April, and hers is in the same month. We get to the room and on the way she talked to Halfdan and got a portion of him. I wonder what it is for?

She puts the slime down and asks, "Can I have the clothes Jake made." That is when I realize that she had Halfdan store them. "Thankyou, you can go now," She says knowing even slimes can be perverts.

She changes into the new clothes and I must say, she looks amazing. Looking at them closer these are even finer and comfy than most noble clothes. An she told me that her older brother who is my age, made them? Just what on earth is up with this family to be this powerful this young other than where we found them. But I still can't get over that thing in, well yeah.

We head out greeting the portion of Halfdan on the way. When we get out and the knight's see us they are all surprised. I guess they are wondering how she looks this good. We go into the back yard to see Sunny and Night sleeping together. They seem to like each other, I wonder what their pups will look like?

We play with her pets a little before going back to Jake. Every time that Emma sees Jake though, she starts to cry. I comfort her for probably an hour until she is fit enough to stand. I watch over Jake as she talks to Halfdan. Looking closer, at Jake, he has the same clothes that Emma was wearing. Why doesn't he have on clothes like Emma if he was able to make that.

"Emma, why doesn't Jake have on nicer clothes than those?," I ask curious.

"He went into the dungeon in those clothes, Halfdan has been cleaning him, but over time everything degrades. That was once like this, but it got slightly damaged in the fight. Plus the cleaning by Halfdan every week put wear and tear on it," Emma tells me.

"Well that makes sense, I guess. How is it coming along with Halfdan?," I ask her.

"He said that he can move around half the stuff, but any more and he can't help Jake. We are leaving tomorrow morning, right?," Emma asks to which I nod. "Then we better pack up tonight," She finishes.

"Yeah, lets go tell the captain," I say to which we do over Dinner. After Dinner Half of Halfdan came over and we put in the limit he specified. There is only one thing that has been bothering me since I last saw Hunter cook food. That is how does Halfdan not weigh the amount that he carries? Can he like manipulate Gravity?!

We go to bed and the next day we pack up the remaining stuff. We leave at Day break after breakfast with Half of Halfdan sliding down with the material. The other half is comforting Jake down the mountain. I am walking beside Sunny who is carrying Emma who is still asleep. It seems she was really tired out last night.

This morning I put a small blanket on Sunny so Emma wouldn't get dirty. I wonder where Henry and Hunter left as all that was left was a note. The note said that Hunter had felt something was off to the west, so they went that way. There isn't anything bad in that direction, the only thing is the road over 40 miles away.
