Meanwhile, Eugene found himself wandering into a quaint peanut shop, his mind occupied with thoughts of the day. He had been searching for a quick snack to satisfy his cravings when fate intervened. Lost in his thoughts, he accidentally bumped into a woman, causing her to drop the bag of peanuts she was holding.
The woman, Annabelle, watched in dismay as her peanuts spilled onto the floor. Her frustration turned into anger as she looked up to see Eugene walking away without a word of apology or acknowledgement.
"What the hell? Are you blind? Can't you watch where you're going?" Annabelle shouted, her voice filled with righteous indignation.
Eugene turned around, his expression impassive. His eyes met Annabelle's fiery gaze, and for a moment, the air crackled with tension. Annabelle, not one to back down, stormed towards him and grabbed his coat, her voice dripping with fury.
"You think you can just walk away after causing a mess? Show some decency and apologize!" Annabelle demanded, her grip on his coat tightening.
Eugene stared at Annabelle with a cool detachment that sent a shiver down her spine. His voice, calm and measured, sent a chill through the air. "I have what I came for. There's no need to make a fuss."
Annabelle's anger reached its peak, her face turning red with frustration. She refused to back down, her voice rising in volume. "You arrogant jerk! Who do you think you are?"
Their argument escalated, voices raised and emotions running high. Annabelle, though intimidated by Eugene's influential demeanor, refused to let him off the hook. She nagged and yelled, determined to make him acknowledge his mistake.
However, Eugene remained unyielding, his cool demeanor unnerving Annabelle even more. Eventually, their argument reached a crescendo, and in a fit of frustration, Annabelle let go of Eugene's coat, watching him leave the shop without a second glance.
She stood there, trembling with anger and disappointment. The encounter had left her rattled, and she couldn't help but question the state of humanity. Gathering her composure, Annabelle took a deep breath and decided to let it go, vowing never to let someone like Eugene affect her so deeply again.
As the day turned into evening, Isabella found herself lost in her thoughts. She had been contemplating her recent visit to Alexander's house, replaying the events in her mind and worrying that she had unintentionally offended him. Doubts plagued her, and she couldn't shake off the feeling of unease.
Unable to bear the weight of uncertainty any longer, Isabella picked up her phone and dialed Alexander's number, hoping to clear the air and salvage their relationship.
Meanwhile, Alexander and Anne were out in a scorching area, the sun beating down on them mercilessly. Anne, afterall Alexander's personal assistant, had her hands full with a bunch of coat cartons that Alexander had purchased from a store.
As they walked, sweat trickling down their brows, Anne's phone rang, and she glanced at the caller ID. Seeing Isabella's name, she answered the call, her voice strained from the heat and exhaustion as she already informed Alex but he told her to pick it. "Hello?"
Isabella's voice came through the phone, tinged with frustration. "Put Alex on the call.I need to speak to him urgently."
Anne glanced at Alexander, who gestured for her to put the call on speakerphone. "What is the matter, Isabella?"
Isabella's voice trembled with a mix of anger and hurt. "Alexander, I can't help but feel that I offended you during my last visit to your house. I've been worried sick ever since. Can we talk about it?"
Alexander exchanged a knowing glance with Anne, realizing the gravity of the situation. "Isabella, I appreciate your concern, but now isn't a good time. Anne and I are in the middle of something important. Can we discuss this later?"
"It is like I am crazily in love with you."
Isabella's disappointment was palpable in her voice. Her brain thrilled when she found out he was with that girl at this time too. Sense of frustration clouded her system, making her wish to snap Anne's neck immediately through the phone. But that was not possible. She took a deep breath in, the breath shaking in movement, and she exploded,"Why the hell are you with her again? Haven't I told you to dismiss her?Why do you have to make me crazy all the time?!"
With that, the call ended, leaving Isabella feeling even more disheartened. She couldn't help but wonder if her relationship with Alexander would ever be the same again.
As Alexander and Anne continued their journey, the scorching heat seemed to intensify, mirroring the growing tension between them. The weight of unspoken words and unresolved issues hung heavy in the air, transforming the once vibrant day into a dull and monotonous affair.
Isabella, on the other hand, sat in her room, her thoughts consumed by doubt and insecurity. She was left to wonder when she would have the opportunity to confront Alexander and whether their relationship could weather the storm of uncertainty.
