The rays of the sun pierced my eyes as i got up from bed yawning. I went to the restroom and took my bath before brushing my teeth. I came out with a towel tied around my chest as i went to my closet. I brought out a white singlet crop top with a black jacket and a short black and white skirt. I put them on and then i wore a black boot that's reaching my ankle. I put on my black wristwatch with a white handbag. I applied a little makeup and sprayed a little perfume. I packed my hair in a messy bun leaving two at the front. I stared at myself in the mirror and smiled.
I really look beautiful; i thought inwardly with a smile. I carried my white handbag and went downstairs.
Good morning mom! Where's Ivy? I greeted and asked.
Good morning sweetie. Ivy went to school already; she replied.
Oh okay! I replied and sat down. I shoved a fork of pancakes in my mouth and took a sip of my tea. I continued eating till i was done. I told my mom bye and entered my car and drove off. I arrived at my school and alighted from the car.

I just smiled and cat walked to my class. I entered the class and sat down. Maurine and her friends, Susie and Susan, came into the class.

A bitch herself is calling another person a bitch. How funny; i said with a chuckle. She wanted to slap me but i got hold of her hand and stood up.
Don't you dare use that filthy hand to slap me; i said and that's when the teacher and students came in. I let go of her hand and sat down while she and her friends went to their own seats. Chloe and Sonia came and sat besides me.

The class shouted his name and i scoffed.
Why do they need to make a fuss just because he entered the class? I asked.

Whatever! I said and rolled my eyes. Gavin passed by me and we both looked at each other before I looked away. The class began and i jotted down the few things i heard him say. When the lectures were over, the bell rang for break and i began packing my books.
Let's go; Chloe said to me and Sonia and we began leaving the class heading to the cafeteria. I ordered for hamburgers and chocolate juice and headed to my table with my tray. I sat down and we began eating while gisting. I was still talking when someone grab my hair and shoved my face in my food and everyone gasped. I turned to see who the person is and i saw Maurine laughing at me.
How was it? She asked and I grabbed her hair and she grabbed mine too and we began fighting. I threw her to the ground and got on top of her slapping her. She pushed me away and climbed on top of me slapping meas well and i pushed her off. I carried a tray of food and smashed it on her face.
How was it; i said with a smirk. We were about to continue when Sonia shouted.
You guys should stop fighting already; she said.
She's the one who started it; i said and glared at Maurine.
One of you should leave the cafeteria; she said.
This isn't over; i said and carried my handbag and left the cafeteria. I entered the restroom and carried a handcar chief to wipe my body.
I'll make sure she pays; i mumbled and wiped my body. I stared at myself in the mirror and smiled.
That's better; i said and opened the door of the restroom and saw Gavin standing there. I ignored him and started walking away. He held my hand and i turned and looked at him.

I see you're still angry. Lemme take you somewhere; he said and pulled me by the hand to the school garden. He let go of my hand when we got there.

Whatever! I rolled my eyes at him. I stared at one of the flowers and pulled one out.
This is so beautiful and it smells nice; i said with a smile.

Oh really? He asked and i nodded. He carried a hose and turned the tap on. He carried the hose and began coming close to me.
What are you doing? I asked moving back.
To make you happy and not angry; he said and sprayed the water on me. I was drenched in water and i glared at him.
You'll pay! I yelled and ran after him. I caught up to him and we both fell with me on top of him.

I collected the hose from him and sprayed it at him while laughing. He too was drenched in water and i just kept laughing.
I made you happy; he said and i smiled.

Do you have extra clothes cos am drenched and i don't want to catch a cold; i said.
Well I'll borrow you my hoodie; he said and smiled. He ran off and I smiled and followed him. We got to an empty class and he gave me his black hoodie.
Thanks; i said and was about leaving with the hoodie when he called me back.
Where do you think you're going? He asked.
To change of course. I can't possibly change here; i said.

Whatever! Face the door; i said and he faced the door. I began removing my shirt and then i put his hoodie on.

Looking good; he said giving me a thumbs up. The bell rang for break over and we smiled at each other before heading to the class. We arrived together and everyone started murmuring. I sat down on the chair besides my friends and they kept giving me a look.

Emm.... It's Gavin; i said and i could feel Sonia gaze on me harden.
Why would he do that? Are you dating? Sonia asked.
No we're not dating; i replied.
You better tell me now. Are you guys dating? She asked.

No! I'm not dating him. He's my friend; I said feeling confused about what's happening.
Good! She said and looked elsewhere.

I don't know either; she said and I sighed. The teacher came in and lectures began. Soon, the bell rang for closing and students began leaving the class. I and my friends were about leaving the class when i sighted Gavin. He waved at me and i did the same. He left the class and i and my friends also left the class. We entered our different cars and drove home. I got home and saw mum preparing the table. I greeted her then went upstairs to change. I wore an orange top with a blue bum short. I washed Gavin's hoodie and ironed it. I wore my flip-flops and went downstairs. I helped mum with the cooking and then we sat at the dining table waiting for Ivy. She entered the house and saw us sitting down.
Hi mum! Hi Lily; she said.
Welcome dear! Come and join us; mum said.
Okay mum! I'll just go and take my bath; she said and mum nodded. She climbed the stairs and headed to her room. It took a while before she arrived at the dining table and pulled out a chair before sitting down and then we began eating.
So Ivy. What happened? Why did you stay too long? I asked.
It's because i had to help someone; she said with a smile as i remembered Arnaldo.
And is the person a she or a he? My mum asked.
A he? He's my friend; she replied.
What's his name? My mum asked.
Arnaldo! Arnaldo Ardentine; she replied and shoved a spoon full with rice and stew in her mouth and began chewing it. I too began eating and I stared at them.
You must stay away from him; my mum said and she looked at her.
And why is that mother? She asked with arched brows.
Don't question me. Just do as i said; mum said and she chuckled.
Mum! I'm 19 for crying out loud. You can't tell me to stay away from him without a reason; she said and mum got up.
You better stay away from him if not i will remove you from that school; she threatened.
You can't do that mum. You can't just tell me to stay away from someone who did nothing wrong; Ivy said and she frowned.
Watch me; she said and went upstairs. Ivy slumped back on her chair with a frown on her face as tears were threatening to fall.
Sis! Are you okay? I asked

I don't know why mum is doing this but there's one question you need to answer; i said.

Not really. We're in good terms now. He actually made me smile when i was angry; i said with a dreamy smile.

Let's finish eating; she said and i nodded. We finished eating then went to do the dishes before going upstairs to our different rooms.

Good night! I said and entered my room. I climbed my bed and used the duvet to cover myself. I smiled remembering Gavin and i moment as i drifted to sleep.

Wait! I called and he turned to look at me. I ran to him and hugged him.
Please be careful; i said and i thought he wouldn't hug me back but he shocked me by hugging me as well and i smiled. We stayed like that for a while before we broke the hug. I bade him goodbye before entering my car and then i drove off. I arrived at my house and i came down with a smile on my face. I entered the house and saw my mum and Lily sitted at the dining table.

I arrived at the dining table and pulled out a chair before sitting down and then we began eating.

I carried my black handbag and went downstairs. I saw only Lily there and i sighed. I pulled out a chair and sat down as i began to eat.
It seems mum is still angry; i said.
Don't worry, she'll get over it soon; she said.
I hope so; i said and continued eating. When we were done, we washed the dishes and then we left the house. We entered our different cars and drove to school. I arrived at school and alighted from my car. I entered the school and began searching for Arnaldo. I checked the library but he wasn't there, i checked the garden but he wasn't there. I went to the rooftop and saw him standing there backing me. I tiptoed to him and wanted to scare him when he turned around and due to the shock I fell down on my butt.
Ow! I winced and looked up at him to see him grinning.
What's that all about? I asked as i stood up.
Oh nothing. Someone that wanted to scare me ended up being scared by me; he said and chuckled.
I wasn't scared, i was only shocked; i said.
If you say so; he said and I looked at his face. I stared at it for a while and i noticed a little bruise there. I wanted to touch it but he held my hand.

Yes; he said and let go of my hand.
You're lying. What really happened? Why were you injured yesterday night? I asked and he looked away.
I just got beaten up a little when i tried helping someone out; he said and i sighed.
That was nice of you; i said and he looked at me before looking away. A call came through and i picked it up.

📱 Ivy! I need your help; she said crying and i became worried.
📱 What happened? I asked and Arnaldo looked at me.
📱 It's Maurine. She posted a photo of me and a boy kissing but it wasn't true; she said crying.

📱 Okay! I'll be there soon. Try to be strong okay; i said.

📱 I love you too; i said and ended the call.
What happened? He asked and i explained everything to him. Just then Anna came in.
So this is where you are. I've been looking for you; she said.
I thought i told you to tell your sister to stay away from my sister; i yelled.
Yes and i did so; she said.
Lies! My sister is there crying because of what your sister did and now the whole school sees her as a whóre!!!! I yelled.

You're my friend for crying out loud yet you can't even tell your sister to leave my sister alone. I know my sister can handle your sister but what she does at times is freaking too much!!! I yelled as i kept slapping her while dragging her hair.
Let go of me; she managed to say. Arnaldo came and dragged me from Anna.
Let go of me; i said kicking my legs in the air. She stood up and smirked at me.
Now i know why my sister hated your sister. It's because she's a whóre; she said and i lost it. I broke free from Arnaldo's grip and charged at her. I punched her on the stomach and she kicked me. We both fell and i quickly got up and pounced on her. Beating her, slapping her, punching her, kicking her as she screamed. Arnaldo rushed and carried me away. When we got out, he released me and i was about going in when he pulled me back and held my waist.
Don't go back there, do you want to kill her? He asked and i looked down with tears forming in my eyes.
I'm sorry. I just couldn't help it. How can she say that kind of thing about my sister and to worsen it, my sister is crying because of Anna's sister; i said letting the tears flow freely. He raised my chin up and i looked at him.
Don't worry. Your sister will be fine. So don't cry again okay; he said and i smiled. He hugged me and i hugged him back. He broke the hug then used his thumb to wipe my tears.
Let's go! Your sister needs you; he said and i nodded. He linked hands with me and we left to his car. I looked at our hands and smiled to myself. He opened the door to the front seat of the car and i entered. He entered the driver's seat and ignited the engine before driving off. We arrived at lily's school and i came down from the car. I rushed to the school and i saw Lily crying and a guy was trying to console her.
Lily! I called and she looked at me.
