I'm sorry; he said and let go of me before exiting the room and i fell to my knees crying profusely.
The door flew open and Lily came into the room and when she saw me on the ground, she rushed to me and squatted in front of me holding my shoulders.
Ivy! What happened? Why are you crying and why was Arnaldo crying as well? She asked and i pushed her hands away.
Arghhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!! I screamed while holding my head. Lily rushed to me again and held my hand.
What's happening to you Ivy? Lily asked at the verge of tears.
This is all mum's fault! She made him leave me. She made him leave me!!!! I screamed again with tears pouring from my eyes.
I don't understand Ivy! Please explain; Lily said and i ignored her and got up.
I went to the table there where a lamp was and i picked it up and stared at it for a while as tears kept pouring before smashing it on the ground making Lily gasp.
Nurse! Nurse! Lily went and called the nurse and in no time she came back with three nurses.
Two of them rushed to me and held me down but i kept struggling. The other one rushed and gave me an injection to make me sleep. They took me to the bed and by now i was already feeling dizzy. Lily came to me and held my hand.
I love him Lily but now he's going to leave me all because of mum; i mumbled as my eyes began shutting slowly.
I love him so much Lily; i muttered before closing my eyes as i drifted to sleep.
What happened? The first nurse asked.
I don't know. I just came in and met her crying; Lily said and she nodded.
But will she be okay? Lily asked.
Definitely! She just need some rest. She'll be discharged tomorrow morning; the nurse said and Lily nodded. The nurse left the room and Lily sat beside Ivy.
I think i know who you love. It's Arnaldo right? Lily asked and sighed. She rested her head on Ivy's bed and closed her eyes.
********* THE NEXT MORNING*********
I squinted my eyes a little and i saw someone lying her head on the bed. I closed my eyes again and opened it before tapping her.
Lily! I called and she squinted her eyes before raising her head up while rubbing her eyes. She looked at me and smiled.
How're you doing? She asked and i sat up before smiling at her.
Not that good! I said remembering how Arnaldo left me yesterday and i sighed.
I'm sorry for pushing you yesterday. I was just so angry. I'm sorry; i told her.
It's okay. I'm not upset with you; she said and i smiled. Just then the nurse and my mum came in and on sighting my mum, i frowned. The nurse did some necessary things before smiling at me.
You're free to go now but don't stress yourself too much; she said and i nodded. She left the room and i got up from bed and began heading to the exit when my mum stopped me.
I'm so happy you're okay sweetie; Regina said and I looked at her angrily.
I'm so sorry dear. I didn't mean for this to happen to you, i just wanted you to leave Arnaldo; she said.
Well you can clap for yourself mum because he has left me all because of you. The guy i love, left me because of you mum!!! I yelled.
Don't forget that am your mother so don't you dare yell at me; she said and i scoffed.
Ohh i didn't forget. I don't know why you want me to avoid Arnaldo and i don't even care to know. But for what you did, i will never forgive you. You ruined my happiness just for something i don't even know about!!!! I yelled.
You better watch your mouth Ivy. I'm still your mother and you're living under my roof so you need to respect me. Don't even think that I'll forget about us leaving this country; she said and Lily came to my front.
Mum stop it already. She already got hurt because you wanted us to leave the country and you're still suggesting now. Just forget about it cos neither of us will leave with you; Lily said.
I don't care if you guys don't agree. We're leaving next week and that's final. Now let's go home; she said and held lily's hand but Lily removed her hand from her grasp.
I'm not going anywhere with you!!!! Lily yelled and Regina slapped her.
Don't you dare yell at me; Regina yelled and i pulled Lily back.
We aren't going anywhere with you. We'll be home but just know this mother. A day will come when you'll wake up and you'll not see anyone of us in the house; i said and dragged Lily out of the room. We walked out of the hospital and hailed a cab. We entered the cab and the driver drove off.
Are we going back to the house? Lily asked.
Yes we are. I need to rest; i said.
But I am going somewhere; she said.
Alright then! Call me if there's any problem okay; i said to her.
Sure! She said and hugged me and i hugged her too. The car screeched to a halt and we broke the hug. I got down from the cab and waved at her and she did the same before the cab drove off. I smiled and went into the house with a smile. I climbed the stairs and went to my room. I went to the restroom and took my bath before brushing teeth. I came out with a towel tied around my chest as i went to my closet. I brought out a black hoodie and a jean bum short. I put them on and freed my hair. I stared at myself in the mirror and smiled a little. I carried my phone, wore my pink flip-flops and went downstairs. I went to the kitchen and carried a white cup and began making tea. When i was done, i stirred it before taking a sip out of it and that's when the door bell rang. I dropped the cup on the kitchen counter and went to open the door. I was shocked to see Arnaldo standing there and i wasted no time in hugging him and he responded to the hug. We broke the hug and i dragged him inside.
What are you doing here? I thought you said you wanted to avoid me; i said.
Aren't you happy to see me? He asked.
No it's not that. I was just shocked but I'm really am happy to see you. I missed you a lot; I told him and he smiled.
I missed you too; he said and we both stared at each other. He began walking close to me and I could feel my heart rate increase and i moved back but he kept coming and i stopped moving when my back hit the wall. He held my waist and pulled me to his chest and i gasped and looked at him.
I want to tell you something; he said and i gulped down nothing.
Ivy! You are one of the amazing person I've set my eyes on. Your smile alone makes my world pause for a while just to stare at that beautiful face. I was never happy except with my nanny and i never knew i would be happy with you by my side. All i want you to know is that i love you a lot. I love you so much Ivy; he said and i felt my heart flutter.
So do you love me too? He asked and i stared at him.
You were there when i was sad. Your shoulders were always there for me to cry on. You made me smile just seeing you smile. I love you too Arnaldo and i don't want to loose you; i said and he held my face.
Don't worry! You won't ever loose me; he muttered and began leaning in and i closed my eyes. I felt his lips on mine as he kissed me slowly and gently. I held his neck and deepened the kiss.
