As Xeron and Rashka concluded their discussion and exited the hall, they immediately began organizing their armies for their upcoming campaign. A vast number of low-level demons poured out from their nests and congregated, forming a formidable force. These troops were divided into two units: one led by Rashka and the other by Xeron. Each unit had a specific mission.
Rashka's forces were a combination of Ignatius's troops and his own, making them a formidable and sizeable army. Their primary objectives included eliminating any remaining reconnaissance teams of the AvLee elves and destroying human and elven villages to disrupt the supplies of their adversaries. This division also served to divert the attention of the main AvLee elven forces, which were bolstered by powerful gold dragons.
Alexander, of course, followed Xeron's forces, which mainly consisted of lower-ranking demons. These little demons, numbering over five hundred, served as cannon fodder and took the frontlines. They were a varied group, showcasing a range of demon forms.
The next largest group comprised gogs, a type of low-rank demon with a unique attack method. These creatures, resembling monkeys, earned their name from the 'gog gog' sound they made. They had the ability to launch fiery attacks by secreting flammable saliva and creating explosive flames. While this attack was effective, it posed the risk of injuring friendly forces.
The third demon type was the hellhounds, numbering around 150. Unlike Leo, ordinary hellhounds couldn't manipulate elements but relied on powerful fangs for biting attacks. They were robust and possessed formidable charging and biting abilities.
Leo, distinct from the typical hellhounds, boasted the ability to control elements and could fly short distances with his demon wings. Surprisingly, Xeron didn't pay much attention to Leo's uniqueness and appointed him as the leader of the hellhounds.
To Xeron, any variations in hellhounds were insignificant, as they were merely low-rank demons. Despite the differences, these demons had only reached the middle rank at most, and that didn't merit Xeron's special attention.
In this setup, Leo assumed the role of hellhound leader, while Alexander acted as Xeron's adjutant. Since most low-level demons lacked intellect and discipline, Alexander's responsibility included assisting Xeron in training them during the march, ensuring they maintained some semblance of formation and organization. This was crucial for their impending campaign.
This task was neither hard nor easy. It was hard because Alexander did not know what kind of formation the demon army should use; it was easy because Alexander only needed to slap them when he noticed that the formation was messy during the march. It was simple and violent.
With Alexander, Xeron had fewer things to worry about, which was why he insisted on keeping Alexander.
This army, apart from the chaotic demons, had many unique things. There were several huge bed crossbows and siege engines. Bed crossbows were the commonly known ballistas, and the siege engines were catapults. Xeron had prepared these things to use to attack cities. Dozens of hellhounds were towing them, moving along with the army. And it was because of these instruments hindering progress that Xeron's army did not move too quickly.
Having spent more than one month in this world, Alexander gradually learned some information. The demon army was currently at the western border of the kingdom of Erathia, and their target was to travel east, penetrate through Erathia, and destroy the capital of Erathia. At this moment, not only was the demon army of the Inferno moving, but the army of Necromancer Sandro and the army of the Dungeon's Nighon as well. These three groups were now allies and coalition forces.
