Adela's Point of View
The gentle caress of dawn greeted me, and I awoke with a sense of anticipation, as if my body was adjusting once again to the world around me.
Yesterday drifted by within the walls of my sanctuary—my room. I took it upon myself to meticulously organize my belongings, wanting to spare others the inconvenience, and, of course, ensuring I allowed my body the respite it deserved. Post-dinner, a brief interlude of relaxation, and I surrendered to the embrace of sleep.
Though this room had been my haven since childhood, today felt like the start of a different journey, and my steps carried a hint of newfound exploration.
I rose from my slumber, eyelids still casting a veil over my vision, unwittingly navigating towards the glass door that beckoned to the veranda, a divergence from my usual path to the bathroom.
Fully prepared now, I made my way downstairs to share a morning meal and join the family on their venture to the farm.
