I was acutely aware that all eyes were on me, so I chose to keep my head bowed. I lacked the fortitude to confront any manner of gaze they might cast my way.
"Do you genuinely believe that's the optimal choice for both of you? That you've truly ruled out any possibility of reconciliation?" Archer's sudden inquiry made me lift my gaze to meet his.
"Yeah," I replied tersely, closing my lips in finality.
"Well, I won't coerce you into such a decision. I desire my cousin Primo's happiness, yet I also aspire for his success. Hence, I won't meddle in your resolution. However, I do think you're prepared, should Primo find a new love in the foreseeable future," Apollo remarked.
"Yeah, more than adequately prepared," I responded, causing him to catch his breath, while his attention swiftly shifted to Archer.
