Adela's Point of View:
"He's not angry. I'm the one who's angry," I said, and she raised an eyebrow, looking confused.
"Why are you angry?" Olivia asked with a curious frown.
"I saw him kissing another girl! And he was even smiling, so I know he likes her too!" I said angrily, and to my surprise, Olivia burst into laughter.
"Oh my gosh, Adela!" she said, holding her stomach.
"Why? What's so funny?" I innocently asked, feeling annoyed.
I can't understand, what's so funny? It's irritating!
"You're angry because you see him kissing other girls? Are you kidding me?" she said, still laughing uncontrollably.
"You're jealous!" she added, causing me to stop and her words echoed in my ears.
Me, jealous? Why would I be? That's not jealousy! I'm just really annoyed! He's so flirtatious! He seems to want to be with every girl who's interested in him! Hmp!
It's definitely not jealousy!
"I'm not jealous," I said, but she only laughed more.
"You're not jealous? Then what is it? Just triggered?" she said teasingly, making me frown at her.
"Why are you getting angry if it's not jealousy? There's no reason for you to storm off like that if you're not jealous! Let me ask you something, why are you angry? Because if you don't feel anything for Primo, you wouldn't get mad and just give him the cake. But why did you storm out with that look on your face, like the world was ending?" she said, still amused.
"This is not jealousy!" I said, raising my voice and shrugging.
"Whatever you say, keep denying it as long as you want," she teased.
"Are you going to give him that?" she asked, pointing at the cake.
"I'll give it to him later when I'm okay," I said, and she laughed again.
"OMG, Adela is really jealous!" she said with joy as we returned to the mansion.
When we got there, I was surprised by what I saw. Archer was sitting on the sofa, drinking juice.
"Where did you come from?" he asked in a cold tone.
"From Primo's school," Olivia replied, and Archer nodded slowly.
"I heard you made another cake? I want to taste it, I haven't tried it yet," Archer calmly said, so I quickly gave him the slice that I was supposed to give to Primo.
He tasted it and took another bite.
"The cake is delicious. How many years have you been baking?" he asked me.
"About 3 or 4 years, I think," I answered, and he nodded.
The strong heartbeat I felt in my chest is still there, but it's not like before, so I shrugged it off. This feeling is probably just nervousness because of Archer's questions. Why is it like this? He was only gone for a few days, why did everything change so quickly?
Tsk, I don't know what's happening! I won't consider this feeling as a real thing.
I just watched him eat the cake until he finished it.
"I'm leaving again today," he said, and I nodded.
"And where are you going now?" Olivia asked.
"I'll treat Margareth," he replied shortly, and I nodded again.
"Did anything unpleasant happen while I was gone?" he asked, and I shook my head.
"How about Primo? Is he doing fine?" Archer asked.
"Yes, he's doing okay. I was surprised! Adela must be good at taking care of him," Olivia said, and I frowned while Archer raised an eyebrow.
He bid us farewell and went up to his room to rest for a while. I smiled when I saw him finish the cake I gave him.
"Oh, you were jealous earlier, and now you're feeling giddy? One thing at a time, Adela!" Olivia teased, making me laugh.
Olivia thought of taking me to their rest house not far from there. We've already had lunch, so we decided to go there right away. Olivia said I'd love it there because they have a vast garden, and I was really excited!
When we arrived at the rest house in Olivia's car, I immediately saw a spacious garden.
It was so large that it made my heart skip a beat.
"Can I go in first?" I asked, and Olivia nodded, so I entered ahead of her.
The garden was beautiful, filled with lovely plants and flowers. I have a wide garden in our house in Baguio, but the plants I saw here got me so excited.
Almost all the plants here, I don't have a single one of them in my garden!
The grass was well-maintained and looked great. They used Bermuda grass in this garden, just like in mine, as I really like Bermuda grass.
"Do you like it?" Olivia said from behind me, and I nodded like a child.
"I already know what gift I'll say when Primo asks," I said with a chuckle.
"Impossible," I said, and she grinned at me.
"I will tell him you like gardens."
"He won't give me a garden!" I said with a laugh and shrugged.
"No one knows."
"I'll stay inside for a bit and prepare some snacks," she said, and I nodded before continuing to admire the garden.
The garden was filled with flowers, but what caught my attention was the cluster of hydrangeas near a table.
There were two hydrangeas, one with blue flowers and the other with white.
Near a small canal, there was a tiny bridge, and beside the cemented wall of the canal, there were also bonsai plants.
Next to the fence were the rose grapes. I was amazed because they managed to grow them like that, whereas in my garden, they didn't even grow much!
There were many more plants, and I really enjoyed myself. Some plants I had back home weren't here because they couldn't easily grow such plants in this place.
I went inside the rest house to escape the scorching heat of the sun.
It was past five when Olivia and I left. She showed me some of their childhood photos. The ones with the most pictures were Ares and Primo.
Ares was always crying in the pictures, while Primo always had a lollipop in his mouth.
Olivia dropped me off at the mansion at around six. I asked her who takes care of the garden there, and she said it's their grandmother. However, she's currently in the U.S., so the gardeners usually take care of it. She mentioned that her grandmother and I would get along well since we both love plants.
When I arrived at the mansion, Primo was already there, sitting on the front stairs. He hadn't changed his clothes since earlier when Olivia and I visited his school. He was even carrying the same bag.
Is that his favorite spot? He's been sitting there even though it's already four in the afternoon and he's already home?
"Hey! Change your clothes first," I calmly told him as I passed by, but I was surprised when he pulled me back.
I almost fell, but I managed to balance myself, so nothing happened.
"You came to the university earlier, right?" he asked, and I raised an eyebrow.
"No," I replied shortly, trying to retrieve my hand from his grip, but I couldn't.
"No? That's why one of my classmates told me someone was looking for me during lunch. He said you and Olivia went to the library because he told them I was there," he said, leaving me silent.
No point in lying. He knows the truth that I did go there with Olivia.
"Yeah, to the library," I said and cringed at not being able to remember what happened to him in the library.
PDA, Public Display of Affection, and it happened in the school library. I wonder if there are CCTV cameras there, and if they saw them?
Then that will be humiliating! Unless he's not humiliated by doing those things?
"Did you see something you shouldn't have?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Why? Is there something I shouldn't have seen there?" I retorted, and he let out a deep sigh.
"Did you see that kiss?" he asked, raising my eyebrows.
"Yes, so what?" I replied, not trying to hide the bitterness in my voice which I dislike doing.
"She's just my fling, no label. I don't want her anymore," he said, making me laugh.
"Why are you even asking for permission?" I said with a chuckle, trying to retrieve my pulse from his grip.
"I just want to tell you that. I'm sorry, I won't do it again," he said in a tired tone.
"Okay? So, can you let me go now?" I asked, and he shook his head.
"Why did you go to the school?" he asked.
"Do I still need to answer that? It seems like you already know," I replied.
"You baked for me," he said, and I nodded.
"For what purpose?"
"Uh, it was supposed to be a peace offering since we had an argument. But it seemed like you were busy earlier, so I didn't give it to you," I said, and he pursed his lips.
"Then where is it?" he asked, pointing at the cake I was supposed to give him.
"I gave it to Archer, he asked for it," I said, causing him to frown.
"But that was supposed to be mine!" he said in frustration.
"Archer again. When it's for my brother, you easily give it away, but when it's for me. Tsk, never mind," he said, clearly annoyed.
"Tsk, next time don't be too busy so you can get what you want," I said, pulling back my pulse, which I quickly recovered.
"Don't worry; there's more in the refrigerator. There's plenty, sorry for what I said last time. By the way, make sure you finish it, okay?" I said tiredly to him, and he smiled at me like a child.
I was surprised when he hugged me.
"Thank you, baby. I love you, and I'm sorry too," he said, causing my heart to pound rapidly.
Simple gestures, but they have a huge impact on my body...
The damn kid is doing something stupid to my system, and I can't help but admit that I am thrilled by those acts. I can't deny that I am falling for him, and this is not good for me.
