Adela's Point of View
My eyes wandered back to where Primo and Emerald were, currently sharing a laugh as the music for their dance number came to a halt.
I licked my lips and bit them slightly.
"It's f-fine," I replied, returning my gaze to him, raising an eyebrow now as he continued to toy with his spoon in his mouth.
He took the spoon out of his mouth and frowned at me.
"Okay? You're fine, you say? Even a child wouldn't believe that answer. Your eyes and tone don't match your response," he said, reaching for the cake he had brought with him, which was sitting on the table next to him.
"You seem to have a serious sweet tooth," I commented, trying to shift the topic away from myself.
"It's delicious, you should try some," he replied, but I shook my head and returned my attention to Primo and Emerald playing nearby.
They were doing well. The newspaper they were standing on wasn't very big, but they managed to keep it up.
