Chapter 1 - Log 1: Student.

[Note 1: Dear Diary] Dipping the tip of the pen into the ink, a boy in his twenties sat on the chair with a small diary that he had taken out of the rubble.

The boy felt a variety of emotions as he sat down at the strange desk and chair and turned to face the room, all of which were difficult to express in words. As a result, he decided to record them in his diary.

Stanza 1:

[Paragraph 1: Although I was certain that I had taken my last breath on earth at that precise moment, it was not until this morning that I began to realize that I had not yet met my end.]-

[Paragraph 2: I have been reincarnated into this new world as a common professor's teaching assistant who is still missing from his mission and has not returned. It was also because of this that my former self had to endure a lot of suffering in this world. However, as soon as I got the guy's memories, I did not experience any hopelessness or sadness; instead, all I felt was a burning desire to learn more.]-

[Paragraph 3: This guy was truly a genius when it come to study the Monster taming profession and was also an advocate in Monster knowledge.]-

[But my previous self has a critical problem with stammering; that was the only thing that was holding my teaching courier in this university.]-[Not to say my master also went missing and I ended up being called the worst teacher assistant in this Central University.]-

[Paragraph 4: Maybe my predecessor had left me behind, but I also felt really excited about the monster tamer in this world, as I read the notes for four hours continuously and mostly regained all of your memories that will definitely help me out in the future.]-

[Thank you; I will try my best to live this life as a grand teacher; given that I have a cheat-like ability, unlike you, perhaps this Golden book will prove useful in the future.]-

[Fin.]

Elvestra began to leave his room as he considered writing more about it, but a growling stomach forced him to focus on the fact that he had to go to work because there had been very little work lately and he had no students to date.

'Ah, I must enroll a student by the end of the month, or else, after all of this, my teacher promotion letter will be resigned and he will be marked dead. Along with that, I will be back on street without any job or any idea of how to earn money in this world.'

Elvestra reasoned that, in addition to the death of the previous owner, the stammering was also gone because he had previously examined it in his room.

Given that students are about to enroll in this university tomorrow, Elvestra was confident that he would be able to recruit a student this week in addition to the knowledge that he already possessed as a result of prior host work.

Furthermore, each teacher is assigned one compulsory student, though that student may withdraw from teaching if they have a valid reason.

The university's canteen was extremely opulent, and the free food included expensive monster meat that was difficult for people to obtain outside of the university.

The food seemed delicious to Elvestra when he first saw it, but what else could be said about it given that it lacked the spicy appearance he preferred?

'Don't be picky...'

Elvestra took a bite of the meat and felt the crisp texture and delectable acid burst forth in his mouth after shaking his head.

He finally understood why they did not use colored spices similar to that because the dish's natural flavor was already extremely spicy, juicy, tangy, and hot.

"What kind of monster meat was used to make this?"

Elvestra paused as he recalled his previous hosts' notes and discovered the name of the monster's meat he was consuming, along with a distinct picture of the monster.

Even though Elvestra was certain that neither he nor his previous host had ever learned about something this specific, he soon discovered that more information was entering his mind.

"So, in that golden book, give me more detailed information about the monster. I should take this note into my diary as soon as possible."

After finishing his meal and taking a sizable gulp of meat, Elvestra pulled out the diary he was keeping in his pocket and set the pen and ink on the table.

"Let's do this."

Stanza 2:

[Paragraph 1: The rusted book of my family heirloom from earth also came with me in this world and the moment I woke up in this world, it was floating in front of me before entering inside the place over my brain.]-

[It enters a small space between my brows, and I think it can be the place where the third eye of mythology from our world existed. Although there are no concurrent proof of its existence in my world, maybe in this world it can be discovered by me someday.]

[Paragraph 2: It is also same with the golden book; it has a mysterious presence within my mind and is directly giving me data about monster that I was eating.]-[Hence, it is not clear whether this ability of mine can help me get more information about monsters or if the information about monsters is correct or not.]

[Fin.]

With that, he shut his diary and put everything back inside before leaving the cafeteria, which was beginning to fill up because the evening classes were coming to an end.

It was difficult for a single person to go unnoticed by all the males in the area because of the large crowd that was advancing toward the cafeteria.

Having silver hair long enough to reach the waist and a great figure. She can be described as a top-tier beauty because of her braided hair and silver earrings, which set her apart from the crowd and even among the females at the university.

"Miliana-sensei. As beautiful as ever, though, I have never heard about her dating anyone from our central university, even though she has been proposed to by many excellent males."

Elvestra was not that unaffected by the girl's appearance because he also felt his heartbeat change suddenly, but the guy next to him spoke with a raging feeling in his heart.

Elvestra was left speechless as he heaved a sigh of frustration and reflected on how his social standing and material wealth could never compare to those guys.

Given that he might just be turned down as long as he tried for it, there was therefore no reason for him to pursue her.

"Maybe in the future. But till then, I should focus on my carrier in this world, or else I might end up dying out of hunger in this world if this goes on."

Elvestra felt more motivated to pursue his new goal of pursuing a gorgeous girl like that as he made his way back to his room to access the notes left by the previous host or to try reading the books the previous host had not yet finished from the library for tomorrow's compulsory student.

Stanza 3rd:

[paragraph 1: I found something interesting about the golden book.]-[It is capable of recording information from the books that I can touch in the library, but there is a limit and I am currently only able to record 10 books that I have not read, and after 12 am, I discovered that I was able to record another book, even though the volume of the book did not matter at all.]-

[Paragraph 2: After an hour has passed, I am beginning to feel rather sleepy.]-[ I also realize that I have already learned all the information I gathered in that golden book and that I can recall it all clearly even when I close my eyes.]-

[Paragraph 3: I am really tired and will go to sleep, and this is how my first day in Isekai world was coming to an end, so good night...]-

[Fin.]

The following morning came rather quickly, and Elvestra stepped out of his room with freshly brushed teeth, appropriate attire, and a clean appearance.

He had a large book in his hand that he had been reading last night, but he had finished it and wanted to return it to the library after the class, so he made the decision to bring it with him.

A man was walking past Elvestra when he suddenly stopped, a sneer on his face. It was actually a pleasant morning, with a cool breeze and the teacher and assistant teacher hustling about.

"Oh my, isn't this teacher Elvestra that we are seeing? It is very rare to see him this fresh and heading out for some work this year too." When Elvestra heard that voice, he immediately experienced a headache, which was a sign that a body had suddenly appeared. Elvestra knew this feeling well because his previous host had experienced it before.

"Ahh! Teaching staff junior." Elvestra remembered the man's name, but it was not a pleasant memory for him. As a result, he simply turned to face the man, who was standing with a smug expression on his face and a sneer on his lips.

"Oh well! I hope you good luck." When the guy stopped paying attention to him and ran away from that area as the girl from the previous evening walked past, Elvestra sighed. Given the situation, he genuinely did not want to associate with people like them.

"I really hope that we will not meet in the future."

He muttered and made his way toward his class, which was empty, but he soon noticed a girl sitting there with brown hair and almond-colored eyes staring at him with an unidentified emotion.

Elvestra recognized the emotion he experienced upon observing the girl's expression because, based on the emotion he could discern in her eyes, he deduced that she was currently pinning her hopes on him.

"Good morning, little girl. My name is Elvestra, a teacher assistant, and if your mind has calmed down after the first rush of excitement, tell me your name and your first monster tamed." Elvestra smiled, looking at the little girl.

"Yes! My name is Marial Activin. And my monster partner is a berserk bunny, the lowest class tier monster with a little lightning mutation."

Elvestra understood why this student had been sent to him after hearing the name of the berserk bunny and the lightning mutation; given that her talent had been deemed to be of the worst kind, he would make the worst teacher.

"I know, training a monster with a mutation of lightning with normal potential is entirely impossible, but is there really no hope for us?" The girl's expression, which had been fixed on Elvestra, completely changed when she heard someone laughing.

"Haha! Don't worry, kid, there are no worst monsters and their types, but worst tamer aptitudes."

He would have given up on this youngster if it had been a different Elvestra, but this time it is different because Elvestra was carrying that golden book.
