Chapter 2 - First lecture

"Well, it depends on you and your choice whether you are here to ask for my assistance or whether you are looking for an excuse to quit your profession as a monster tamer."

Elvestra took a long, hard look at the young woman in front of him. In an effort to make a lasting impression on her and inspire her for the future, he did his best.

However, in the end, the girl's decision to follow this path or not was entirely up to her, and if she made that decision, there was nothing he could have done to stop her.

"Additionally, as I previously stated, it depends on the individual and the amount of effort they are willing to put in, not the talent of the monster they are raising."

Elvestra's voice rang calmly like a bell as the girl's gaze became still, her emotions calming down, and she began to consider how she could come to believe in him.

"Sir, please accept me as your student." It took a moment for the girl to decide, as she made up her mind to accept Elvestra as her teacher and handed her student slip to Elvestra, who signed his signature on it and accepted Marial Activin as his disciple.

"Good, that was a quick decision from your side, and I am impressed that you are able to make it this quick." Elvestra was relieved that he had managed to avoid being expelled from the university for the time being.

He then turned to face the young girl and vowed to do everything in his power to assist her.

After all, this little kid was his first student that he had taken, and this is also his first teaching experience in an Isekai-like world.

"So, we will now start with an introduction that most people in this world do not know, given that this is something that I have come out with."

Elvestra grinned as he displayed the proud object he had independently developed with the aid of the golden book.

Although it was obvious to him, other people in this world found it to be a unique and out-of-the-ordinary idea.

"What do you think this null-attribute attack is made up of, and why is it being considered to be the weakest among all attributes?" Berserk Bunny was a monster with no attributes, so its attack power and special attack options were severely limited.

Unlike those elemental attributes that had extremely strong destructive power, their elemental attack can even shoot at long range and is considered to be the best.

Marial, on the other hand, was a little concerned because the man in front of her was proposing a new theory that she had never heard of.

She was led to believe that there is a source behind the strength of elemental attacks, though, because his logic hit the mark.

"So, I named the power source behind all of these changes in terms of 'Mana,' an anthology that I had come out with."

Stanza 1:

[Paragraph 1: As an earth-dweller who is familiar with the chemistry of conversion and who has long held the belief that miracles do not happen in any world, this was the first time I had brought up the subject of mana in front of others.]-

[Since the monsters in this world were powerful and possessed a variety of skills, I made the decision to believe that everything they were capable of stemmed from an entity that could be found throughout this world but was not on earth.]

[Paragraph 2: Elvestra was clever, and she had a hard time believing in me about the presence of mana, so I decided to give an example and ask her a question.]

"What makes you think that a person who trained on the battlefield could defeat a person whose monster level was two levels higher than his own and still win?" It was a great subject that had recently become one of the most popular topics of conversation among the female students on campus.

[Paragraph 3: She looked really troubled with no answer and looked extremely cute when thinking about it with a fluster look on her face.]

"Okay, the answer to your question is proficiency when casting an attack ability and the quality of mana inside the monster." With great interest written all over her face, Marial became silent for the first time upon hearing Elvestra.

Elvestra was explaining to her how this fighting ability is directly linked to mana usage, and she began to pay closer attention to what he was saying.

"It is very simple to understand, given that mana is more like a weapon or a sword for swordsmanship. So, how do you think a swordsmanship hone their skills with?"

"By repetition of attacks." Elvestra patted Marial's head and grinned when she heard her mutter when she was asked the question.

"Correct! It is repeated practice that makes swordsmanship different from other types of attacks. Also, if you want to train your null-type, what you need to do is train your attack ability on a daily basis to an extreme degree."

Stanza 2:

[Paragraph 1: After that, I gave the girl a training regimen in which she was made to make Berserk Bunny cast body-strengthening as the basis of null-type attack ability, which any monster in lower levels develops.]-

[Using body-strengthening over for a short period of 15 seconds was easy, but Elvestra asked them continue casting it for more than 15 minutes each time.]

[Paragraph 2: Given that it was something I had just brought, the little girl was initially hesitant about the training and continued to glance at me occasionally. However, even I was unsure if it would be effective. Suddenly, however, in the middle of the session, the golden book reappeared and six new golden pages appeared on it.]-

[The little girl's expression also changed, as she also felt something changing in her monster after training for continuous seven hours.]

[Paragraph 3: The next thing she gave to me was full of admiration and even writing this diary, I truly felt happy that my method had his own usage and knowledge related to basic abilities came pouring inside me.]

[Fin.]

"Hehe! Felt the changes..." Elvestra approached Marial and asked her a question, which caused the little girl to cry, as she feared remaining in mediocrity for the rest of her life with no prospects and killing the hopes that her parents had placed on her coming down below.

"Thank you, sensei; please forgive me, but I was terrified of losing everything and was prepared to accept my fate as mediocre."

The girl's voice was choking, and Elvestra could feel the trembling fear that little girl was carrying on her tiny shoulder as she patted her head.

"Come stand. It is not right for my first student to kneel like this, and this is something any teacher would do when coming to face his or her student, so you do not need to thank me for this."

Finally, Marial came to see Elvestra in a new light and no longer had any doubts about her kind, as all of her concerns about Elvestra's abilities vanished into thin air.

Elvestra, on the other hand, was speechless and startled to see a book emerge from Marial in front of him and demand that one golden page be used to copy the entire contents and send them all to Elvestra.

Elvestra decided to give it a try by allowing it to absorb one of the seven pages in his book since this was the first time it had ever happened.

Despite the fact that previous Elvestra had also received training in Symbiotic-Combat Art, Symbiotic-Combat Art practice began to flood Elvestra at that time.

He finally understood that Marial and her symbiotic combat art, which she had been practicing with her family for the previous 12 years, were the true subjects of all these memories.

Marial's age group was 18, and the fact that she began studying symbiotic combat at the age of 6 made Elvestra uncomfortable.

After all, only prominent families in the city can raise children who are trained in symbiotic combat at such a young age, allowing them to use the meager mana they receive from their monster partner.

"Teacher!" Elvestra was staring at the wall, seemingly lost in thought. Marial turned to face him and spoke softly to get his attention.

"Oh, sorry, I was thinking about symbiotic art for you, but it looks like you had learned it before, right?"

Elvestra was astounded to discover that the youngster in front of him has already mastered seven different symbiotic arts while pointing at the injured finger of her hand, which was formed as a result of relentless practice and hard work.

"Hehe! Teacher, I am not being proud, but I had mastered seven different martial arts from my family, and that is why they had really high hopes out of me."

Marial was being a little complacent about it. As Elvestra received the knowledge and practice that she had done for the last 12 years, he smiled and clutched his hand to feel the familiarity.

"Oh, you are saying that you have mastered them all, right? Then why not try that on me, and I will not even use mana to fend off your attacks?"

Marial used a quick body movement when Elvestra's body moved a step ahead beside her and a fist stopped right in front of her eyes.

Marial pouted, feeling irritated, as she looked at her complacent master and clutched her fist.

"You said that you had mastered it, right?" In line with what Elvestra had anticipated, the golden page enhanced all of her symbiotic art and transferred him with a faultless rendition of it.

"You see, there is a lot for you to learn in symbiotic art, and even I, who has yet to experience a fight in a real death life situation, can counter you, which means you have yet to master those arts of yours to this date."

Marial's confidence was completely destroyed at this precise moment as she pondered whether Elvestra was actually the infamous professor of this central university.

"You must be hungry. I am also tired, so why not take a rest, and then we will go toward the teacher ward, where I will register you as my apprentice today?"

Since the teacher and students live in the same dormitory, their conditions are influenced by one another, which forces both of them to make a concerted effort to improve their own.

"Yes! Teacher." Given that it was rumored that Elvestra was notorious for putting up with learning for months inside while focusing on Monster and their material, Marial felt content because she did not mind where she would live and wanted to see the teacher's room.

"There is nothing in my room. Little girl, it is a very common room, and there is no facility for them, so I will have you work hard for our facilities." Elvestra shook his head as he thought back to the time when he had made some cash by selling all the monster materials the previous host had amassed.
