Just as Waldo successfully obtained the antiviral serum, Russ finally received his lackey, Ged. He had been waiting for this day for too long.
Ged had been rushing for several days and sent a message one evening.
"Russ, I'm here, resting in a small store 500 meters away from you. When shall we meet?"
Russ, who was about to go to sleep, became excited when he received the message but managed to contain his excitement.
"Stay where you are, I'm coming right away." Russ slept alone on the couch.
Usually, Helen would lock the door when they went to bed. So, Russ quietly left their rundown house without alerting her. After walking a short distance, Russ started running and quickly arrived at the small store Ged mentioned.
"Ged?" Ged heard the familiar voice outside and ran out excitedly.
"Boss!" Russ patted Ged's shoulder and laughed, saying,"Great, great! With your help, I won't let that bitch Helen get away this time!"
Ged smiled and replied, "As long as you're happy."
Russ, grateful for Ged's arrival, said, "Ged, you've really helped me a lot this time. I consider you my good brother, Russ!"
Ged looked at the happy Russ and smiled, saying, "Russ, as long as you need me, I'm willing to do anything for you, even if it means risking my life."
Russ made a decisive decision.
"Good! In that case, Ged, tomorrow we'll go find that bitch Helen! Rest well here tonight, and tomorrow we'll deal with Helen. Oh, I'll make sure to relieve your frustrations."
Ged quickly declined, saying, "Russ, I don't need that. You enjoy it yourself."
Russ gave a thumbs up. "Responsible! Haha, then I'll go back now and come see you tomorrow."
Ged nodded. "Okay, Russ, you go back and rest early."
Russ returned to the shelter and glanced at Helen's closed room with a sneer. The next morning, Helen was sitting in the living room eating bread when Russ walked in with Ged. Helen had noticed Russ was missing early on.
Now, seeing him enter with a stranger, her alertness skyrocketed, and she became highly nervous.
"Russ, who is he? I remember we agreed not to bring strangers in randomly, right?"
Russ shook his head and laughed. "Helen, he's not just some stranger, but my good brother Ged. We're just long-lost friends reuniting."
Helen asked with a hint of suspicion, "So what? What are you implying?"
Russ sat down on the couch opposite Helen, picked up a slice of bread from the table, and chewed slowly.
"What am I implying? Don't you understand yet?" Helen had a bad feeling about this.
"I genuinely don't understand your meaning." Russ smirked and said, "Are you truly clueless, or are you pretending? I've been wanting to have you for a long time!"
Helen raised her voice and coldly commanded, "Russ, show some respect! Is this the education of a scion of a wealthy family?"
Russ shrugged and laughed recklessly, "Who cares! In this apocalypse, my family might have been devoured by zombies! Now, all I want is to strip you naked, make a video, and show Waldo how pitiful you sound when you moan!"
"Ged, take action!" Ged, who was standing behind Russ, made his move.
Helen didn't expect this seemingly ordinary guy to move so swiftly. However, she had been on guard the whole time and had taken out a pistol from her backpack in advance.
Russ, sitting directly across from Helen, was startled.
A gun?!
In her panic, Helen failed to aim properly and shot directly at Russ. He was hit in the shoulder, and the pain made him scream in agony. In that split second, Ged had already rushed to Helen's front.
Caught off guard, Helen's handgun was knocked out of her hand and fell to the ground. But she didn't hesitate and immediately rolled sideways off the couch, pulling out a crossbow.
Ged, who was running towards Helen, had no intention of dodging. He quickly took out a shield and blocked the arrow. Helen had her back against a wall and couldn't find a place to hide for a moment.
Suddenly, she remembered the set of armor she had collected earlier and hastily took it out of her backpack.
Just as she put on the armor, Ged's shield came crashing down hard on the armor. Russ, holding his shoulder, looked at Helen in disbelief, wearing the armor.
Is she freaking Iron Man? Helen put on the armor but wasn't feeling well. The shield's heavy impact left her dizzy and nauseous.
Ged continued to fiercely strike the perfectly fitting, impenetrable armor. When he slowly retreated, Helen was dizzy and leaning against the wall, barely managing to stand.
Russ rushed over and kicked Helen down with all his might. Then, using a wooden stick in his other hand, he repeatedly struck her until she passed out cold.
Helen's eyes went black, and she became unconscious.
Russ, still filled with anger, kicked her a couple more times, cursing, "Damn this bitch! She managed to get a gun at some point! It hurts like hell! It must be that damn poor Waldo! Fuck!"
Ged approached, looking at the gunshot wound on Russ.
"Russ, let me tend to your wound first." Russ shook his head.
Looking at the fallen Helen, he instructed, "Not yet. First, go and tie up that bitch Helen, don't let her escape."
Ged nodded and took out a chain to securely bind Helen, suspending her hands from the ceiling beam. Helen was completely suspended in the air.
Then, Ged took out alcohol and bandages from his backpack.
"Russ, this might hurt a lot. Endure it." Russ gritted his teeth and said, "Damn it, just do it quickly. It's better to endure short-term pain than long-term pain."
Ged nodded, cleaned a dagger with alcohol, and removed the bullet from Russ's wound. In the end, Russ had overestimated himself.
After letting out a scream of pain, he fainted on the spot.
