"So what is it that you want out of this interaction?" Zhishi Wu was having trouble understanding what this enforcer wanted.
She walked up to Zhishi Wu and looked him in the eye, he felt his face heat up slightly and before he could back up she grabbed the sword out of his hand.
"I want you take responsibility for this. Become a common enemy for this nation drowning in internal conflict." she walked up to Luo Chen and slid the sword through his abdomen.
"If you do this I can help you escape this situation and help you open a path to cultivation."
Zhishi Wu was hesitant but he had no other options even though he would become a fugitive wanted throughout the entire island he still had to agree to this deal. But there was also some greed involved in his decisions.
"If I can cultivate to the higher levels my lifespan will skyrocket, I won't have to concede to the same wall I had to in my last life." he thought to himself as he removed the sword from Luo Chen's abdomen.
"I'll do it." he said resolutely and stood in front of Luo Chen's body making it seem like he had just stabbed him.
"Very well." the girl replied and the strange aura that had coated the entire palace disappeared.
The huge double door flew open as the princess arrived, the scene she saw was gruesome, her older brother, the prime minister, his son and the leader of Tianchi's Chamber of Commerce Zhang all on the ground. Blood flowed across the floor almost indistinguishable from the red carpet.
Zhishi Wu turned around and let her get a good look at his face as he held a blank expression.
The princess had long black hair and her face face slightly resembled Shi Tian.
"YOU MURDERER!" she unsheathed her sword and dashed at Zhishi Wu the floor beneath her cracked due to her power as a late stage body refiner and her expression quickly devolved into fury.
Whoosh!
Zhishi Wu vanished from the spot and appeared far above the city and stood among the clouds.
"Woahhhh!" the words slipped out o his mouth as he surveyed his surroundings and saw that he was actually standing on nothing.
"How is the view mortal?" The girl was sitting beside him like she was relaxing on the beach or something.
The view showcased an enormous city and a skyline that seemed to extend forever with large mountains decorating it.
"Is this what cultivation can lead to?" Zhishi Wu was ecstatic he had never expected to experience something like this before.
"Cultivation is merely the act of seeking, I know not what you will find." The girl walked over to him and put her hand on his chest, she was a little taller than him she was 5'10 while he was 5'8 right now so she had to bend down a little.
He did not know what she was doing until the pain kicked in.
"AHHHHHH!"
He was instantly reminded of the night he had undergone body tempering the pain was very similar but different, while the initial stage of body tempering had reinvigorated his muscles this felt like his very organs were decomposing and recomposing at the same time.
While Zhishi Wu was enduring pain the likes of which he couldn't even imagine had existed the girl started to explain.
"The body invigoration pills act as a catalyst to reconstruct the physical body, when you reach my level of cultivation reproducing the same effects artificially is quite easy." she said casually while Zhishi Wu was still screaming hysterically.
…
The time flew by and Zhishi Wu finally awoke after what seemed to be about 2 days. He opened his eyes and scanned his surroundings it was dark and damp.
"A cave." he thought to himself.
His hands started to push down on the ground to lift himself up but unexpectedly his fingers started to dig into the stone below him and sink. He stopped instantly and figured that it must be the extra strength that came from achieving the peak of body tempering.
He sat up and brought his hands up to his face to get a good look at them, if his previous physique was described as average he now looked like someone who would have frequented the gym religiously in his past life but the strength he has was of course unexplainable by his previous life's standards.
"I have to be more careful with how I exert force." he slowly and gently pushed down on the ground to stand up this time, he currently felt like he was walking a tightrope.
After a few very careful steps he reached the entrance of the cave, the surroundings were green and shone as the sun bounced down on them, trees surrounded him and various vegetation sprung up from the ground, it reminded him of the Amazon which he had visited in his previous life.
He looked to his right and saw the enforcer floating off of the ground in a lotus position. He walked up to her and started to study her appearance, the robe she was wearing exuded a strange energy he started to feel a slight resonance for, he had not felt it before.
"the jet black color seems to radiate a feeling of blue, it's almost indescribable." he thought to himself.
The focus on the cloths lasted for a brief period of time as he had found himself subconsciously looking back at her face, he found it difficult even as a man of extreme will power to hold back from touching it, he slowly reached out his hand almost in a trance.
"It would wise to halt." She spoke in a monotone voice as she opened her eyes.
"Don't you have any man-" She stopped her sentence midway as she caught a glance of him.
"You, you!" she looked away instantly as her face flushed red.
"What did I do this time?" he thought to himself.
"Have some modesty." she said with a shaky voice.
As she said this a grey robe fell from the sky onto Zhishi Wu, he had not realized that during the process of body tempering his entire upper body had been exposed and the lower part of his robe had shrunk to the size of slightly oversized shorts.
"My apologies." He said as he dawned the new robes she provided.
She continued to look away and continue with her meditation trying to calm herself. She had been raised in extremely strict circumstances and rarely even interacted with other people let alone men.
"Would you happen to have some food." Zhishi Wu asked as he realized that his stomach was about to digest itself, jumping past the middle stage straight to late stage of body refining had created an incredible hunger inside him.
"Don't you remember I have no need for food, stop pestering me." She resumed her cultivation.
Zhishi Wu was curious about what she was doing exactly but his hunger definitely took priority over that, as he turned around considered walking into the jungle to find some food he heard a resounding.
Clang!
A sword that seemed straight out of a picture book fell onto the ground it looked like something a soldier in the kingdom may wield.
"Thank you." Zhishi Wu bowed slightly and grabbed the sword as he left to find some food.
…
Zhishi Wu had traveled through a variety of jungles in his lifetime and had developed great navigational skills so he didn't worry too much about getting lost, as time slipped away he carefully searched for something to eat.
He realized that his movement was what was scaring away animals in the jungle because he heard them everywhere yet whenever he got close they vanished, it seemed like they had heightened perception compared to animals on earth.
"I'll climb this tree and wait patiently." he thought to himself as he leaped off the ground and on to the tree instantly a tree which was nearly 10 meters in height.
He waited there holding his breath and suppressing any sounds he may be making for around 15 minutes.
Crunch!
He looked to his side and saw it something that completely resembled a rabbit, he instantly pounced on it, he didn't even need to use his sword as his physical attributes completely eclipsed the rabbits, its neck snapped instantly and it lost all signs of life.
"Maybe I should have been a bit more patient and waited to see any abnormalities." he said as he carried the rabbit back to camp, the hunger had clouded his decision-making skills.
The rabbit's blood continued to fall slowly as he carefully navigated his way back to the cave, he was about half way back to the cave when he felt his hair stand on end and got goosebumps, the force that the enforcer emanated that resonated with him had reappeared and it was around a minute behind him.
"It's following the blood trail of the rabbit!" he realized as he thought about possible explanations extremely quickly. He quickly put down the rabbit and leaped up on to a tree.
The force that he felt was nearly upon him and the floor started to quake ever so slightly as it got closer, finally it came into view a tiger like beast with zebra patterns and the size of an elephant.
"I should have just ran back to the enforcer." he thought, it would be safer to leave but at this point he was far too starved to leave the prey that he had hunted for so long.
"I can feel it, If I eat that creature It'll satiate that feeling inside of me." It was neigh irresistible it was as if his body was practically forcing him to hunt this humongous tiger. He lost all semblance of rationality as he slowly drew his sword.
