Zheng was very sure that his father wouldn't hide such information from him.
He continued reading, "Before increasing the capacity of your mana reserve, you have to understand the basics of your body constitution. Increasing your mana reserves without increasing your body constitution will bring about side effects."
"Side effects include a short life span, frequent sickness, mental retardation, and gaining one or multiple disabilities."
Zheng exclaimed, "What the hell!"
He didn't expect such side effects from mastering magic. He expected it to be tough, but not like this.
'I guess that lack of adequate body constitution must be responsible for the very low number of mages across the continent.
'Heck, I could have said the entire world, but this unknown continent exists.'
Zheng said, "The world is really full of undiscovered wonders."
"The qualities that make up the body's constitution include stamina, agility, strength, speed, and intelligence.
"Stamina will affect the rate of mana consumption, which is also dependent on the type of spell in use.
"Intelligence will affect the mana reserve capacity. Higher intelligence stats will increase one's understanding and perception of surrounding mana.
"At this point, I would have continued, but I have to stop and look out for those who have no magic mentor other than this book. You are wondering how you will know your body's constitution stats.
"Easy; you live with magic around you. It is not hard to find mana orbs around you."
Zheng said, "I think that maybe in deep shit."
In his known world, Zheng knew that it was tough to find a magic orb. Currently, he has none with him. He got his hands on a few because he was royalty, and royal families have their ways of getting such coveted items.
"Get five magic orbs. Each orb will represent a stat of your body's constitution.
"The first orb will be used to test your intelligence. As I said earlier, one with a high intelligence stat will understand surrounding mana and, hence, will be able to move mana into the orb.
"Once mana is moved into the orb, a glow is expected to emanate from the orb. The glow can come in different colours, but one colour for a participant depending on the participant's intelligence stat.
"These are the expected colours depending on the stat numbers;
"1 to 50 will come with a faint red glow or a speck of red light within the orb.
"51 to 100 will come with a blue glow.
"101 to 200 will come with a pink glow.
"Hmmn? Pink? That is girlish," Zheng commented on the colour.
"201 to 499 will come with an orange glow.
"500 to 899 will come with a red glow.
"900 to 1000 will come with an azure glow.
"A normal person will not expect to find a person who has a red glow or an azure glow trying to determine their intelligence stat. Because people who have this stat are fu*king grand mages. They must know a lot of things about magic.
"I doubt that any of you will understand the F word. I learned from my good friend who transmigrated from another reality to ours, (Smiling smiley face)."
"What the hell!" Zheng exclaimed in surprise.
He just made a weird claim again.
"Transmigration?" Zheng wondered. 'And what was that weird figure at the end of the sentence?'
However, he didn't believe it. He knew that some authors got so caught up in their art that they lost their minds. So he firmly believed that this nameless author had lost his or her mind.
But the author made use of the word, 'fu*cking'. Zheng had heard Muller say this word a few times. He wondered how the author and Muller knew of this word. Unfortunately, he didn't think it was related to a person transmigrating from another reality to this one.
Zheng mused, 'Muller must have learned the word from someone who somehow made cultural contact with the author.'
He returned to the task at hand. He reasoned that he shouldn't waste time reading about the tests. He had to find the orbs as soon as possible and at least complete a test. He knew that his father would come at any time to bring him home.
Zheng said as he searched around the glade,
"Where is that horny bovine?"
MOO!
The dream bison bellowed at Zheng with slight irritation, [Who exactly are you calling horny?] It was eating grass at the opposite end of the glade.
The black bovine plucked a tiny blade of grass and waved it at Zheng in mockery. [Small pen*s idiot].
Zheng said to the beast, "Haha, very funny. I know that you are mocking me, but I don't know what you are saying."
MOO!
Zheng quietly cursed at the beast, "Classless bastard."
The Dream Bison bellowed deeply with an evident frown on its face. It stepped towards Zheng. Zheng jogged away in retreat.
He apologised, "I'm sorry. I'm sorry."
The beast stopped in its tracks and glared at the prince.
Zheng said with sincerity, "I'm sorry, please."
MOO!
[What do you want?]
Zheng suddenly realised that he couldn't understand the Dream bison anymore.
Zheng said to the bovine, "Umm, I don't know why, but I can't understand any word you are saying."
The Dream Bison huffed, making Zheng cringe frightfully.
The bison closed its eyes, and an invisible wave emerged from its head and hit Zheng. The impact made the prince stagger a bit.
'Small dick, what do you want?' The Dream Bison telepathically communicated with Zheng.
Zheng put on an expressionless face and said, "That's not fair."
The bovine said, 'I don't have time to waste. I need to cultivate.'
Zheng sighed and said, "I need magic orbs. Are they available in this place?"
'Yes.'
Zheng almost got excited, but reasoning got the better of him. He still did not know if the orbs were rare or common in this place. But before he could voice his concern, the Dream bison said,
'Don't worry, your slim ass; they are common in here.'
Zheng asked, "Please, can you take me to where I can get them?"
The beast did not reply and walked towards what Zheng assumed to be the western end of the glade. Zheng felt downcast; he thought that the bison wasn't going to help him out.
