Annette's eyes widened in surprise. She said, "Didn't you just say that your secretary might gossip about it?"
"If he can't even keep his mouth shut, he is not qualified to be my secretary," Connor said as if it was a matter of course.
Annette realized that she had been fooled again. She walked over and was about to complain, but a refreshing smell came to her nose. It was pine.
The pleasant fragrance made her forget what she wanted to say. Connor seemed to have the same feeling.
He lowered his head and kissed Annette.
Annette was stunned for a moment, then she pushed him away.
However, Connor pulled her into his arms.
Annette hit his chest and groaned in pain.
Connor quickly let go of her and said, "Does it still hurt? Are you alright?"
Annette blushed. She walked past him and left his office quickly.
She covered her flushed cheeks and reminded herself that she would never bring food to Connor again.
He was dangerous.
