Curtis looked at Annette.
Annette said with displeasure, "Thea, I'm telling you. I didn't speak ill of you, nor did I seduce any man in the company. You better mind your words."
Annette pulled her hand out and shook off Thea's hand.
She looked at Curtis and said, "Curtis, thank you."
Curtis waved at her and said, "Go back to the office first."
Annette cast a cold glance at Catherine and turned to leave, ignoring Thea while she was still shouting behind her.
She walked quickly. She squeezed out of the crowd and left the cafeteria.
When she was waiting for the elevator, Catherine caught up to her.
She stood beside Annette and said guiltily, "Annette, I'm sorry. I didn't do it on purpose. There were so many people just now. I had no choice."
"You had no choice? Then, you think it's fine just to slander others and tell a lie?" Annette hated this kind of person the most.
