While I am walking in a slow pace, a loud scream can be heard from behind the storage room. I walk towards the place to check it out. I wonder if there could be a problem over there.
Oh my, there are a bunch of delinquents gathering together! They notice me in an instant! What should I do...? One of them walks towards me arrogantly.
''Hey, you came to the wrong place. You should go to class, pretty one. Now, it's already too late for that.''
I back away slowly. I should not have come here in the first place. Two other delinquents are standing behind me, blocking my way out. Ah, now I am scared.
''Please, I don't have anything to give you...''
The guy who talked to me just now starts laughing. He then gives off a sharp stare on his scarred face. I guess he is the leader.
''Oh, you do have something to give me. You know what I mean, right?''
He licks his lips as he stares at my body. No, I do not want to end up like this. The two guys behind me grab both of my hands, preventing any attempt to escape.
The leader caresses my left cheek, but all I can sense from him is evil intention.
''Look, her legs are shivering. Don't be scared, pretty one. I will treat you very nicely.''
My trembling voice fails to scream for help. The evil guy holds my chin, as if he wants to forcibly kiss me. Someone, please help me...
As I want to close my eyes, the other delinquents behind the leader are beaten up by someone. The attempt to kiss me got interrupted. Thank goodness, someone is here! A large guy with black piercings in his ears and lips is beating them up one by one, and the impact from his huge fists must hurt badly. He dashes towards us and delivers strong kicks to the two guys that grabbed my arms. I fall into the ground, unable to stand up on my feet. The only thing I can do is watch the fight.
The evil leader is left alone. His henchmen are beaten up, knocked down on the ground. He then gets pinned at a tree by the large guy. I cannot stop myself from getting amazed by his fighting techniques.
''No man treats a woman like that, you scumbag. Any last words?''
The evil leader's expression changed. He is now trembling on his feet, unable to save himself. I know he is trying to talk, but the fear is preventing him from doing so. I think I should do something.
''T-that's enough...let him go...T-thank you...for saving me...''
The large guy stares at me in bewilderment. He even tilted his head.
''Are you saying I should let this scumbag go? After what he did to you?''
''I know what he did was wrong. But, I wish you can spare him off this time. I just don't like seeing someone got inflicted with fear. Even if he is bad, but I think he can repent from his bad actions...''
I said what I could. Even though I am amazed by his fighting techniques, it is just not right to beat people up...
The large guy lets him go. The evil leader runs away as fast as he can, probably never want to come here anymore. I let out a wide smile to the large guy for his honorable actions. Ah, he blushes a bit.
''You are different from the other women. They enjoy seeing me beating up the other delinquents, and I felt uneasy as I realized I made more and more enemies. What you said just now was true, it isn't nice to settle out matters with violence.''
He gives me a serious look as he raises me up back to my feet.
''Woman, some people just cannot be helped. I had to beat them up. I was forced to save you, or else you would end up losing your dignity. I hope you understand that, okay?''
He is right, I guess violence might come in handy if you are on the verge of losing your dignity. From what I can see, he is a delinquent too, but he is good at heart. Ah, I should introduce myself to him!
''I am Melisa by the way. May I know your name, my heroic savior?''
I giggle a bit after saying those lines. He gives off slight blushes again.
''Cyril is my name. Heroic savior eh...normally I would walk away after saving someone...but in your case, I wish to escort you to the school's infirmary.''
Cyril, huh? I will remember that name.
''I think I sprained my ankle. I came late to school, you know. I had to run before but I am a very weak woman when it comes to physical actions...''
Cyril pats my head with his right hand. Even though it feels a bit rough, I can sense warmth and comfort from his touch.
''You need someone to help and protect you for the time being. Come see me in the train station after school is done.''
''Eh...?''
''I am always there after school. If you don't trust me, I won't force you to come...''
Why did he suddenly asked me to come at the train station after school? Well, it is not like I do not trust him or anything, but I wonder what he plans to do with me. I think I should think positively and see for myself later.
''Alright, I will come at the train station after school. I walk pretty slow, so wait for me, okay...?''
Cyril's expression suddenly changed. He is smiling like a little kid! Is it so important to him? He was fighting like a beast before, but now he is as happy as a little boy. That is a good thing I suppose, because I find him very cute like that.
He carries me in his arms, just like Rein did. I want to ask him something...
''Hey, am I heavy...?''
''No, you're as light as a beautiful feather, or more likely a pretty flower petal.''
''T-thanks...''
I blushed after hearing Cyril's words. He can be romantic too. Plus, he is strong and protective. Any woman would be happy to have him as a lover. His strong arms are much more comfortable, and I think I may want to stay longer in this position.
We arrived in the infirmary. Cyril drops me on a bed and places a large blanket on my body. The nurse says that I can leave for class on the fifth period. That is enough time to recover my slight injury.
Cyril leaves me to rest. He halts for a second to take a glance at me. He holds my forehead and smiles at me.
''Rest well.''
''I will, thanks...''
Cyril walks off to the door and vanishes from my sight. I never thought unexpected things would happen to me in one day. I am not mad though, in fact I am very grateful to have met Rein and Cyril. The two of them did not leave me behind, treat me nicely, and show consideration towards me.
I close my eyes, letting sleep takes over my body.
