Chapter 8 - CEO and His little cat7

Levin covered his head and opened his eyes.

In front of his eyes was a bright, white, blinking piece, he blinked a few times before realizing that it was actually a hospital room.

How did he get here?

The aches and pains in his body made him slowly remember what happened last night, and his face turned white.

Where was the cat? Where was his cat?

"Don't move, don't let the blood flow back!"

A nurse came to check the room and saw the child on the bed was restless and wanted to get off the bed, so she hurriedly held him down.

"Madam, have you seen a cat? A white, very cute kitten?"

Levin hurriedly grabbed her hand and asked eagerly.

He didn't care why he was here, nor did he think to take the opportunity to ask for help to escape, but first thought of his cat.

Will his cat be hurt? Will it be captured by those people? Will it still be in a corner waiting for him to save it?

The thought that his precious cat might have been abused and beaten made his heart clench.

"Cat? What cat?" The nurse didn't understand, "You can't have pets in the hospital!"

Levin was anxious and wanted to struggle out of bed to look for it, but the nurse couldn't hold him down by herself, so she had to call the doctor to calm him down.

"Little boy, your body injury is too serious, now need treatment.

The doctor was a kind-looking middle-aged woman, she pointed out the film to Levin, "Look, your ribs are fractured, if it can't be cured, it will hurt a lot in the future."

"I'm not afraid of pain," Levin frowned, "I'm going to find my cat!"

"Cat?" The doctor looked at the nurse's wink and quickly snorted, "Oh, you mean the cat, she's right outside the hospital, can you go out and look for her when you're better?"

"Really?" Levin was skeptical.

"Really, it's white, right? It's very good." The doctor was lying, "We fed her yesterday."

"Yes, yes, that's the one!" Levin was convinced by her description.

"Now you're convinced. You should just nurse your wounds, okay? Who would be so cruel as to beat you, a little child, like this?"

"KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK."

The door was knocked and several people entered the room. Levin followed the sound and looked at the people, but they were several public servants wearing police uniforms.

"My kid, how are you," one of the female officers said gently to Levin, "We're police officers, and we'd like to ask you a few questions.

Levin's heart pounded and he nodded.

"We received a report of an abducted child here."

"Were you trafficked here?"

Levin looked the men over, like he was trying to determine if they were bad guys in disguise.

"I need to see your police cards." He pursed his lips.

The police officers looked at each other and were amazed that a child of this age could be so defensive, they must have suffered a lot.

They didn't feel offended, and one after another took out their police cards.

Although Levin didn't know many of the words, he knew how to read people. Seeing the open and kind behavior of these people, the guard in his heart was finally put down.

"My name is Levin Wilson ... and I live in ...."
