Chapter 24 - OLD FRIEND

Finally, Amelia and Damon reached a huge gate that made Amelia cringe, what was the use of such a huge gate, one could hardly see the house because of it.

"Thank you for today Damon." Amelia said out of courtesy since he had helped her today, maybe he was not so bad after all.

"You are welcome, and I have told you to call me Hilter." Damon argued with Amelia but still sent her a warm smile.

Amelia sent a smile back thinking it was probably just his occasional habit of annoying her.

"Here we are." Damon announced stretching his hands towards the gates and before his hands could touch it he stopped, closing his eyes momentarily and few moments later, the gates pushed back opening only to reveal a beautiful villa.

Amelia could not help but gape at the way the compound was, she could believe it, they were not inside the villa yet but the beauty outside was enough to blow one's mind away.

The flowers arranged by the sidewalks were standing out beautifully, although rain was still falling, Amelia knew that during the sunshine that the beauty of these flowers would be second to none.

Amelia was equally tempted to leave under the umbrella and go touch the flowers but restrained herself not wanting to be a bother.

Amelia pouted her lips with disappointment making a note in her head to play with the flowers before leaving this place.

As they walked down further, Amelia saw a fountain that stood at the middle of the villa road making it form something like a roundabout in the road, the raindrops fell directly into the fountains causing ripples on the surface.

Amelia just giggled while Damon glanced at her wondering what it's funny, meanwhile Amelia was giggling because she did not expect the devil to love all this kind of things.

When they entered the villa, Amelia was surprised to see a different interior pattern than the mansion she was this morning, in the mansion every thing had this dark eerie, do not go near type of décor which kind of reminded Amelia of her first meeting with the devil in that dark space but in this villa.....

Everywhere had this gentlemanliness that it radiated, it was filled with elegant and precise arrangements and even looked sunny.

Amelia glanced suspiciously at Damon before looking back at the décor of the villa.

Unable to understand the meaning of Amelia's gaze, Damon thought that maybe she wanted a seat, "You can have your seat no need to wait for my permission." Damon said realizing a calm smile.

Amelia sat down on one of the sofas that was white in colour with the head having blue on top.

Dread filled her heart for the unknown as she managed to put a smile on her face, this was not the Damon she knows, why was he so different.

_______________

Crashing sounds rung out in the mansion as a panting Damon could be seen pushing all the furniture away with his glowing eyes.

"What do you mean you cannot find her?" Damon roared at the kneeling Leviton and Max.

"We searched the whole city brother but we could not find her still, she has probably seen a place for shelter." Leviton explained while Max gulped in fear, if she had seen a place for shelter then it means trouble for him as he was instructed to prevent that.

As if on cue, Damon threw a death gaze at Max, "I thought you said you have taken care of the threats, why was she able to seek shelter then." Damon roared angrily as his veins popped from his forehead and his eyes glowed brighter changing to golden, his fangs came out and the air in the room became more suffocating.

Max trembled unable to respond, he was sure to have passed the threats to everyone who would dare disobey DH why was it when he was given a tax the person dared to disobey.

"Brother, I think you need to be calm about this, we searched everywhere that was for rent or for sale but there was none on which the human is inhabiting in. Maybe you should just let it go, she is human after all." Leviton responded instead of Max.

A gust of breeze blew past Max where Leviton was kneeling and a loud crash was heard behind him.

On reflex, Max turned to check on Leviton but saw his place empty, then he looked back in curiosity wondering what happened but he saw Leviton pinned unto a pillar by Damon who looked like he would tear him to shreds any minute.

"I give you five hours Leviton, get that human here or you would regret ever being called my brother." Damon growled lowly holding tightly onto Leviton shirt.

"Brother, I understand and I would do your bid, but you need to calm down, your horn is popping out." Leviton said calmly like he wasn't the one being held by the guy who looked like he would go on rampage any moment from now.

Hearing what Leviton said, Damon loosened his grip on his collar and stepped back a bit closing his eyes for a moment before opening them back, the horns that had started protruding originally had gone back.

After calming down a bit, Damon opened his eyes revealing it's golden colour that glanced coldly at Leviton, "Five hours." He repeated before turning his back at him.

As Damon stepped away Max breathed a sigh of relief, another lovely day to survive, but his joy was cut short when Damon paused his footsteps and glared at him, causing the legs that were kneeling to start shaking badly, "don't think I have forgotten about you, just make sure to clean this mess." Damon said preparing to leave.

"Hilter, were are you going to go." Leviton asked having a hunch about the blood thirsty aura that was oozing from Damon means he was going somewhere and that place, there was going to be a lot of death.

"Me, no need to mind me, I am just going to visit an old friend of mine." Damon said with a cold smirk disappearing before any further question could be asked.
