"Qué le pása a el?" Isabel asked. "Why would he be doing something as stupid and as dangerous as attacking the barracks? If he's here, then Sasha must be around somewhere."
"Sasha! Sasha?" Calling out for Sasha, Isabel tried moving from one place to another, bustling about in the throng of people, looking for Sasha.
Finally spotting Sasha standing near one of the dome-like buildings after searching for a few minutes, Isabel went to meet her.
"Hey, what is Jake doing? I thought you were supposed to keep him in check." Isabel said, her heavy spanish accent clearly audible.
"Obviously you thought wrong." Sasha said, not even remotely thinking of stopping Jake. "Looks like you managed to find your way back here after all."
"Yeah I did." Isabel replied. "You guys should have come back with me."
"Whatever. I thought you would return to Veda." Sasha said.
"Obviously you thought wrong."
Nodding her head in understanding of what Isabel did there, Sasha did not say anything else.
"Are we not going to do something about Jake?" Isabel asked with worry.
"What do you want us to do? What can we do?" Sasha asked, indifferent about what Jake was doing and the growing danger of what he was doing.
"He is going to be arrested. We should try to stop him now before the situation gets worse than this. We're his friends." Isabel said, trying to reason with Sasha.
"I'm not his friend." Sasha replied. "And the situation is already worse."
Inside the barracks, Jake had been running around looking for Anna while still beating up any soldier that got in his way and now, two generals had just come to stop him from causing more destruction.
The people watching were wondering what was happening. Was the barracks under attack by the werts? If so, how did they get in? Was the whole haven under attack? Were they in danger?
Different rumors began spreading among the people and panic filled the haven.
'Where is Sky when you need him?' Jake thought as he kicked the head of a soldier and turned to face the two generals. 'His time magic would have been very useful right now. This is escalating way more than I thought it would. And I'm loving it.'
"Generals. I only came to see Anna but these imbeciles you call soldiers, refused to let me see her. Take me to her and all of this," he said, pointing around at the chaos he had caused, "ends instantly."
He had been destroying parts of the barracks as he beat up the soldiers and he was also using fire magic, which was bound to cause a lot of destruction.
"Wow." one of the generals said. "The size of your ego is astounding. I just met you but I can tell your problem is overconfidence."
"Is that so?" Jake asked.
"It is. From how you're talking I can tell you know you are very strong. Probably strong enough to take on a general such as myself. But are you sure you are strong enough to take on two of us?"
With a pondering look on his face, Jake pretended to think about it for a while then said, "I'm not sure. I guess we're about to find out."
"I didn't come here to talk." the other general said and rushed forward, his hands growing eight times bigger than normal.
Smiling at the generals, Jake waved at them then said 'Bye' before he totally dissolved into a brown gooey liquid and began moving further into the barracks.
His actions were strange because a sane person would be trying to escape, not increase their chances of getting caught.
"What is he up to?" the first general asked as he ran after Jake but stopped when Jake climbed a building, still in his gooey form.
Coming from the side, the second general threw a punch at the building Jake was on with his extra-large hand, which brought a huge chunk of the building crumbling.
"Be careful." the first general said. "We're supposed to stop him not join him in the destruction."
Using the crumbling building and all the dust to his advantage, Jake moved away from the two generals and began looking for the most suspicious area in the barracks.
Something was obviously going on and Jake wanted to find out what, who cares what happened to those who tried to stop him.
'Why send two generals to stop me?' Jake thought. 'Why not send Anna to me? That would have been the easiest thing to do. Those damned commanders. Unless something's happened to her. If something happened to her, how do I find Isabel?'
Reverting back to his normal form, Jake began entering building after building, searching for Anna. 'I kind of expected Sasha to help me. Maybe I'm getting too used to her always being around.'
Entering a building that had no lights on, Jake stopped. 'We're finally getting somewhere.' he thought.
Every other building he had checked had lights on and soldiers working inside, due to him being far faster than them, he chose to beat up most of them and leave the rest to chase him.
'Those guys are hot on my heels so I better make this quick. I counted up to four generals chasing me.'
Producing a flame in his hand that was bright enough to light up the whole room, Jake walked forward and saw a wall of glass in front of him.
Hearing the door shut behind him, Jake turned back and suddenly the lights came on.
"I heard you wanted to see Anna." Commander Lucy said, standing a few feet away from Jake with her great pink sword in a scabbard behind her back. "There she is."
Behind the glass wall, sitting in a chair wrapped in chains was none other than Anna. She was wrapped in chains from her ankles all the way to her neck and the walls of the room behind the glass wall was enhanced to ensure that it could not be broken, even by someone as strong as Anna.
"What's all this?" Jake asked when he saw Anna.
"What's all this?" Commander Lucy repeated. "This is what she gets for endangering and risking the lives of hundreds of soldiers, insubordination and disobeying a monarch, her father."
"Geez, but it's her father." Jake said. "How can he do whatever this is to his own daughter?"
"You think this is bad?" Commander Lucy asked. "She's like this because her father is monarch. If he wasn't, she would be in the world penitentiary in Veda. In worse condition."
"That's sad and all but I want her help on something." Jake said.
"You can ask her about it when you join her." Commander Lucy said and immediately gave Jake a solid punch on his head with all her strength with added boost from her magic.
Feeling dazed from the punch, Jake's vision was blurry and it didn't seem to be getting better. 'That's one hell of a punch.' he thought before he felt another punch on his cheek and lost consciousness.
