Nearing the window at a steady pace, Sasha slowly opened the blinds so she could look outside after Cat had turned off the lights. She wasn't scared like Cat, Ayo, Nikki and Louisa but it didn't mean she should be reckless and should not be careful.
It was already very late–past midnight to be precise, and the only reason they were still awake was because they were having a sleepover. So whatever was making the noise on the window pane by hitting it continuously could possibly be bad news for them.
"Just open it already." Nikki whispered to Sasha who had yet to fully open the blinds.
"Do you want me to leave here so you can open it yourself?" Sasha whispered back to Nikki.
"Let her do what she's doing." Louisa said to Nikki. "And why are you whispering? No one outside can hear any sound in this room."
"I don't know." Nikki said, no longer whispering. "Maybe nerves."
Opening the blinds fully, Sasha saw a stone hit the window pane and fall. Looking at the ground, Sasha saw Jake with the help of the lights outside the house which was shining brightly.
Jake was standing there with a couple of stones in his hand and looked like he was getting ready to throw another stone before he apparently noticed Sasha, dropped all the stones to the ground and began making some gestures Sasha could not understand.
"Well what is it?" Cat asked Sasha after a while of her looking outside through the window.
"It's just Jake." Sasha replied as she folded the blinds and opened the window.
"Really?" Cat asked as she turned the lights on and went to the window. Looking out the window along with Sasha, Nikki Louisa and Ayo, Cat saw Jake standing there and waved at him. Seeing Jake wave back and continue to make some gestures while also mouthing something, Cat squinted her eyes to get a much clearer view of what Jake was doing.
"He's telling us to move back." Ayo said, figuring out what Jake was trying to tell them.
"Move back? Why?" Louisa asked.
"I don't know, let's do as he says and move back." Ayo said as she moved away from the window.
Moving away from the window, the girls saw Jake run towards the house with speed which to them was incredible and the next thing they all saw was Jake coming into the house from the window.
"How did you do that?" Sasha asked as she closed the window and turned to look at Jake with wide eyes, ostensibly stunned by what Jake had just done.
"I jumped." Jake answered. "What's the matter?"
"You just jumped through a window which is at least eighteen feet above the ground." Louisa said.
"I guess hard work pays off, I spend a lot of time trying to increase the strength of my magic." Jake said, using the strength of his magic as his excuse for being able to jump as high as he did knowing fully well that it was thanks to his system. "Did I interrupt your girls night?"
"Sort of. But it's not a problem." Cat answered and walked over to Jake before stopping a few feet away from him. "I'd hug you but you're covered in sweat and I just had my bath."
"But it's not that much." Jake said jokingly and moved towards Cat making her step back. "Nikki?" Jake said and turned to face Nikki.
"Sorry Jake, but I'm gonna have to agree with Cat on this." Nikki said with a smile on her face.
"It's okay." Jake replied, also smiling. "I just finished my punishment with Miss Anna, that's why I'm covered in sweat. I didn't want to come here and you guys were already sleeping so I didn't bother taking a shower before leaving school. You look better with your hair tied up like this." Jake said to Cat, who had used a thin piece of yellow rubber to tie her hair up into a bun.
"Thank you." Cat said.
"Wait. You've been serving your punishment since we left school?" Ayo asked, surprised.
"No not just punishment. I also trained a little bit with her but it was mostly punishment." Jake said. "I can't stay long, I want to get back home and have a long shower before I go to bed."
"You really can't stay for a little while?" Cat asked. "None of us will mind. Right?"
"Of course not. But only for a little while, this is still a girls night. We're just making a small exception for you." Nikki said and looked at Ayo, Louisa and Sasha, waiting for their answer.
"I actually don't care." Sasha said. "I just want to get back to the movie."
"He can stay, after all it's Cat's house and he's her boyfriend." Louisa said.
"Yeah and if you really want to take a bath, you can use Cat's bathroom. As long as you have another set of clothes." Ayo said.
"Or you can stay without the clothes." Louisa said. "I'm just kidding, of course you need clothes." she said hurriedly after seeing the look on Cat's face.
"Don't worry I have clothes with me." Jake said and opened the portal to his ring's magical dimension then brought out a bag which contained a sleeveless shirt and a pair of trousers.
"You've already gotten the hang of it." Nikki said to Jake after she saw how easily he opened the portal to the magical dimension of his ring.
"I had a great teacher." Jake said. "I'll see you guys in a bit. No peeping." he said to the girls and headed to the bathroom.
"No promises Jake." Nikki said and giggled.
"Should we continue with the movie?" Ayo asked.
"Yes." Sasha answered then walked directly to the television and touched the middle of the screen which made the movie start to play from where they had stopped.
"Okay calm down." Cat said then laid down on the floor and turned the lights off after everybody had gotten into their respective positions.
