"How come I'm not hearing any sound coming from the room?" Jake asked himself as he dried the water on his hair with the towel Cat had told him to take from a closet in the bathroom. Putting his head up against the door, Jake pressed his ear to the door and listened for any sound coming from the room. "Are they no longer in the room?"
Opening the door to the bathroom with the towel on his shoulder and his clothes already on his body, Jake saw Cat, Ayo, Nikki, Louisa and Sasha lying on the floor in different positions in front of the television. He wasn't getting a clear view of them because of the two beds and table that was in his line of sight and the lights were also off. He was able to see the outlines of their bodies with the little light coming from the television.
It was at that moment that Jake noticed the round baseball-sized object which was on the table in the middle of the room. Leaving the bathroom and walking to the table without getting the attention of any of the girls, Jake picked up the object and began looking at it while moving it from one of his hands to the other.
"What's this?" Jake asked, when he was done looking at the object which was still in his hand.
Sitting up and turning around to look at Jake, Cat, Nikki, Louisa and Ayo saw Jake holding the spherom in his ripped arms. He was wearing a sleeveless shirt so his arms were not covered by anything.
"That's a spherom." Cat answered Jake. "It's Sasha's."
"What does it do?" Jake asked, looking at the dark blue stripes on the spherom again.
"It makes any sound from this room, stay in this room." Ayo replied.
"No wonder I couldn't hear anything from here while I was in the bathroom." Jake said and put the spherom back on the table. "Why are you guys using it?"
"We're watching The Dead Will Rise." Nikki said.
"No wonder." Jake said and chuckled a little. "How can you girls watch that movie at this time of the night? You might have nightmares while you sleep."
"That can't happen to any of us." Louisa said. "The only person it can happen to is Ayo."
"Why's that?" Jake asked.
"She hates horror movies." Cat replied. "She says they are too frightening."
"When last did I say that?" Ayo asked. "And I can't get nightmares."
"You better not." Sasha said as she got up from the floor and turned off the television. "I don't want to wake up from your screams when we go to bed." Going to the table in the middle of Cat's room, Sasha picked the spherom and pressed the purple button on it.
After Sasha pressed the purple button on the spherom, the silk-like substance which had been released from the dark blue stripes on the spherom began leaving the walls and the ceiling and went back into the stripes on the spherom.
When the silk-like substance from the spherom had gone back into it, Sasha walked to her bag, opened it up and kept the spherom in it before closing the bag.
"Cat shouldn't we keep these bags in your closet?" Sasha asked.
"We'll do that tomorrow." Cat replied. Clapping twice, the lights came on and Cat said to Jake "We are going to bed now, it's already very late and we are still going to school tomorrow. We'll continue watching the movie tomorrow."
"Good night then." Jake said. "A hug now?" he asked Cat and opened his arms.
"Of course." Cat replied then got up from the floor and went to meet Jake before giving him a tight hug. "Good night Jake." she said then took her hands to Jake's neck and brought his head down and kissed him.
After kissing Cat, Jake hugged Nikki then moved to the window and opened it. "See you guys tomorrow. Good night everyone." Jumping out the window and landing as softly as he could to avoid making a lot of noise, Jake looked up at the window and saw Cat leaning a little bit out of the window waving at him.
Waving back at Cat, Jake watched her lean back into the house and shut the window before he left, heading to his house to get a good night's sleep which at that point, he wanted desperately.
After watching Jake leave, Cat turned around and went to climb her bed. "Three of us will sleep on my bed because it's bigger than the other bed, so the other two will sleep on the other bed. Who's joining me?"
Walking to the other bed which was beside Cat's bed, Sasha got on top of it and laid down using the duvet to cover her body completely apart from her head, apparently ready to sleep.
"I'm joining her." Louisa said and walked to join Sasha on the bed she was lying on while Nikki and Ayo walked towards Cat and joined her on the bed.
"Hey." Nikki said to Cat. "How come your alarm didn't go off when Jake crossed your fence and stepped into the compound of your house?"
"We've already enrolled his DNA into the system of the alarm." Cat answered. "I should have thought of that."
After Nikki, Sasha, Louisa, Ayo and Cat laid down on the bed and covered themselves with the duvet, Cat said "Good night" to all of them then clapped her hands twice to turn off the lights.

Getting to his house, Jake went in and saw Sky sitting in the living room watching a movie on the television.
"What are you doing?" Jake asked. "Isn't it too late to be watching TV? And shouldn't you be in bed?"
"Welcome back." Sky said. "I already slept a lot when I got back from school, I don't feel like sleeping yet. And did anyone ever give a specific time for watching TV?"
"What if Dad comes out and sees you? And why aren't you watching it in your room?" Jake asked.
"Because I wanted a bigger screen." Sky answered. "And if Dad comes out, I'll tell him the same thing I told you. If he doesn't object, I'll keep watching."
"Alright, knock yourself out." Jake said. "I'm going to bed. I need some sleep."
"Peace." Sky replied then turned his attention back to the movie he was watching while Jake headed up to his room.
