Chapter 31 - Usage of the Toy

"Roan, what do you think?"

Hearing Augustus's voice, Roan stopped thinking. He looked up and saw Mona, Lacey, and the others looking at him. Without hesitation, he told them his analysis, "It's like this."

Roan gestured for Lacey to bring Mr. Darren into the conference room to rest. The following words were not suitable for the other party to hear.

Placing the crime scene report and the brief information of the two victims on the table, Roan said, "First of all, the murderer's habit is to kidnap women and torture them with toys for a period of time. This can be seen from the use of toys at the crime scene."

Augustus and Mona took the crime scene report, which showed that the toys had traces of being used, and some of them were broken. They must have been used for a long time.

Lacey returned to her seat. Augustus and Mona nodded in agreement. Roan continued, "So, based on this inference, Sabrina's life will not be in danger in the short term after she was kidnapped, because based on the previous use of the toys, the victim was tortured for at least five days."

"Isn't that too arbitrary?"

Augustus frowned and asked,"Before the news reported it, the possibility of this was very high, but after the news reported it, would the murderer choose to silence him in a hurry?"

When they heard from Roan that the murderer liked to torture his victims with toys, both Lacey and Mona looked disgusted. After hearing Augustus's words, Lacey also asked, "That's right. The murderer has already dismembered two victims. It wouldn't be difficult for him to kill another person."

"You're wrong about one thing." Roan shook his head. "The murderer probably dismembered more than two victims."

He pointed to a few photos in the crime scene report and said, "Look at the body parts carefully. Although the frozen marks on them are serious, it's not difficult to see that the murderer dismembered the other party according to the joints of the human body, instead of cutting the bones directly with a knife. This meant that the murderer had some basic understanding of human joints… Or perhaps he had dismembered too many times and had gained experience."

Mona covered her mouth. Lacey's expression was a little ugly, but she continued to analyze what Roan said.

"So the murderer is a doctor?"

"Not necessarily."

"Veterinarians, butchers, forensic doctors, farm owners, and so on are all possible."

Seeing that Mona's expression was getting worse, Roan took the photos back and said, "As for why the murderer would not choose to silence them after seeing the news, this is the second point I want to say: Because the murderer doesn't care."

"What do you mean?" Augustus frowned.

"I don't mean anything. The murderer just doesn't care."

Roan took out a pen and circled a section on the document. He threw it to Augustus and explained, "Note that the murderer did not carefully clean the kitchen where he dismembered the victim. At the same time, he swaggered to place the body parts in the refrigerator instead of taking them away and throwing them away. This shows that the murderer actually hoped that someone would find out what he had done."

"F*ck!"

"What a pervert!" Mona cursed in a low voice. "What was in this guy's head?"

"Who knows?"

Lacey agreed with Mona's assessment of the murderer. He was a pervert and a lunatic.

Augustus also agreed with Lacey's evaluation of the murderer. At the same time, he continued to analyze Roan's words.

"From this point of view, the murderer is very arrogant, so even if he sees the news, he won't kill Sabrina in the short term because he doesn't think we can find him, right?"

Roan nodded and gave Augustus a teachable look. "Yes, your analysis is correct."

Augustus puffed out his chest proudly. It seemed that his brain was not slow, and he still had the talent to solve cases.

Wait a minute, who was the leader here?

Before Augustus could get angry, Mona and Lacey looked at each other and asked, "But, what's the use of analyzing these things? The fingerprint match failed. We don't know who the murderer is or where the murderer is hiding."

Augustus turned his gaze back to Roan. He believed that Roan definitely had other ideas.

Not letting down Augustus's passionate gaze, Roan lowered his head and flipped through the report in his hand while explaining,"

"You're right. What I said just now was just to make sure Sabrina's life is not in danger for the time being. The following analysis was related to the whereabouts of the murderer."

The meaning in his words was very simple. The shocking one had yet to come.

Mona and Lacey immediately sat up straight when they heard this. Augustus also raised his attention.

"The first point..."

Roan took out the two credit card photos found at the crime scene and placed them next to Mona's computer. He said with a serious expression, "The murderer always used the credit card of the victim to buy toys. Mona also found out that Sabrina's credit card was used. This is a habitual behavior of the murderer."

The three of them nodded in unison. The evidence was conclusive. Roan's analysis was correct.

"The second point."

Rosm took out the two victims' car usage records and placed them next to Mona's computer again.

"After the murderer kidnapped the first victim, he used the first victim's car to buy toys. After the second victim was kidnapped, he used the second victim's car to buy toys. At the same time, the murderer drove the second victim's car when he went to Sabrina's apartment to steal toys and clothes."

Upon hearing Roan's analysis, Augustus's eyes flickered. He then said, "But the second victim's car was parked in the garage. The report showed that they didn't find any clues in the car."

Mona was confused and could not react. She asked, "So? What does this have to do with the murderer?"

After understanding Roan's analysis, Lacey hugged Mona's slender waist and said excitedly, "This means that the car that the murderer used to kidnap Sabrina is most likely Sabrina's own car! As long as we find Sabrina's car, we'll find the murderer!"

"I see!"

Mona suddenly understood and suddenly perked up.

"As long as Mr. Darren tells us the information on the vehicle, I will be able to locate her in three minutes!"

Augustus was very excited. He did not expect to find the murderer so quickly.

Roan was speechless.

Seeing the few people who were inexplicably excited, Roan coughed twice to attract their attention. He spread his hands and said, "Have you forgotten one thing? We investigated Sabrina and Darren's villa before."

The three of them were speechless.

Mona did not give up and asked, "Is it possible that Sabrina has a car that Darren doesn't know about, like the credit card?"

Roan was speechless, but it was not impossible. Who knew how many more things Sabrina had hidden from Darren.

"We can ask Mr. Darren later, but we can't have too many fantasies about the car. It's too time-consuming to search for the car according to the surveillance video. We don't have much time to waste, and the murderer is likely to abandon the car."

Without wasting his breath on this question, Roan continued, "The car isn't important. What's important is this behavior."
