"Oh- oh hello director" she hastily bowed and walked back to steps back. Her ears had gone red, and she swore she could be buried in a six feet deep hole.
Director Luke was the single heir of the mercury corporations. Everyone knew that it was a bankrupt company but ever since the new director started to run the company, they took a huge leap in the industry and were one of the top-growing companies.
Luke was not pleased, and it showed on his face. His eyebrows were knitted, and his eyes narrowed at her. As he watched her face closely, he recognized her.
'Hello. finished your shift?" he asked which took her by surprise. Her cherry-like plump lips agape.
'Yes! It was a hectic shift" she replied. Luke nodded and then he gestured for her to follow him. Luke, he was a man who didn't like to wait.
Miraki followed him like a little squirrel.
The path was on the right of the exit way. It led to an area with more trees. 'Where are we even going? Oh, how I miss my bed' she complained in her head. The path led to a large Chinese pavilion. A few lanterns were near it to light the way and a pond was right in front of it.
"How do you know my sister?" he asked as he stood in front of the pond which reflected the moon.
"uh-We are friends" Her lips went dry. She was hesitant for powerful men like him to eliminate her in an instant and no one would even be able to question.
"Orion likes you" he further says, and it confuses her even more. "He does? He treats me like a literal nobody" she blabbed out her thoughts.
"Be my wife."
"- What?"
"I want you to be my contracted wife."
Various thoughts came to her mind, like was he trying to get rid of his engagement partner or maybe she ran away? Her mind state to make thousands of scenarios.
"Don't think too much." he glared as he could tell exactly what was going through. Her expressions were just too liberated. "I will give you 2 days to think about it. And tell no one"
He immediately walked away. And no, she won't tell anyone. For her last brain cell had gone bonkers.
