Derrick was introduced to several Elvira's associates. She asked them to show Derrick around the organization since he will work for her. Derrick looked at them and they were very loyal to Elvira. After she gave him another pill bottle for his headache, Derrick left without saying a word. He looked at his surroundings and saw many of her people guarding every entrance and passageways. Everyone wore black suit and dress pant. Derrick also wore suit and dress pant.
There were several rooms that were off-limit to Derrick, such as the weapon and drug room. But Elvira's bedroom was off-limit to everyone. After a few associates showed him around, they went back to their position. Derrick went back to Elvira's office. She was sitting in her chair with her tea when Derrick came back to see her.
"How was the tour? Did you like it?"
"..." Derrick didn't want to say anything nor converse with such a lady.
"If you don't want to reply, that's okay. But I will force you to talk even if you don't want to. Which one do you want? More headache? or tell me the truth? Your headache is triggered if you are under high stress. I remembered I gave you a pill bottle. I can take it away." She smiled at him and signalled Ling, "Take his pill bottle away." Ling bowed and took the bottle away from him.
Elvira looked at Derrick while he was trying to be calm and collected. In his mind, he wanted Elvira to get jailed. No, he wanted the entire organization to go down. He kept his mouth shut the entire time and clenched his hand. His face grimaced when the headache came back. Elvira asked everyone to go out, and they all obeyed.
She went closer to Derrick and threw the pill bottle away. She went back to her desk while enjoying her time watching Derrick suffer. As the headache grew more intense, he called her name. She knelt down in front of him and said, "Are you going to talk to me?" He nodded. Elvira gave him his pill and whispered, "If you listened to me, you wouldn't need to suffer. Understand?"
Derrick slowly nodded as the headache subsided. He slowly stood up and faced her. He didn't want to suffer anymore. He just wanted to get everything done and get out of this situation.
"What do I need to do?" Derrick finally said something. Elvira extended her hand and caressed Derrick's handsome face. Her soft lip went closer to his lip, but then she whispered into his ears again.
"Kill a person for me. If you do, I will tell you the truth."
"Kill who?" Derrick replied.
"One of my subordinates betrayed me. I could kill him, no problem. But I want to test your submission to me. Here is my gun. When he comes in, remember what I said." Elvira signalled the person to open her office door. A young man in his 30s came in bruised with torture marks. They made him kneel in front of her. The young man begged Elvira to spare him.
"Please, my lady. I didn't mean to. Please spare me! I promise I will submit to you. Please don't kill me!" He begged her several times, but Elvira looked at him coldly and barely flinched.
"But, you weren't supposed to leave this property. I didn't allow you to expose us. We already got the person whom you talked to. He also cannot live peacefully. I don't give people a second chance." Elvira slowly stepped back and touched Derrick's arm.
"Derrick, help me." She whispered. He extended his right arm and gripped the gun tightly in his hand. His hands shook at the thought of killing an innocent person. He was in a dilemma because if he killed someone, he will become a murderer. If he doesn't kill him, he gets killed. If he himself gets killed, no one could expose the truth.
"Elvira, what are some of the other options?" He asked.
"Why? You can't kill him?" She looked at him, struggling to kill the person who betrayed her. Elvira got out a syringe and gave it to Derrick.
"This can kill him within 24 hours. So, you can choose whether you want him to die quickly or give him a painful death." Derrick clenched his fist again and closed his eyes.
*AHHH!" the person screamed in pain as the bullet went through his shoulders. Derrick dropped the gun and his breathing became faster.
Elvira laughed. "I didn't expect you to shoot this poorly. Since you don't want to kill him, then I'll do it." Just as she was about to shoot the person, Derrick grabbed her hand and made her drop the gun. He tried to stop Elvira and said, "He already suffered. Let him go." He embraced her and let them take the person to solitary confinement.
"Elvira, I'm sorry. I couldn't kill him. I can't see you kill another person." He said that as Elvira let go of his hands and she slapped him.
"How dare you touch me!" She yelled at him because in the past, no one could get close to her besides her father. But today, she was embraced by a mysterious man whom she saw in the bar a few nights ago.
