Tai Bàoli had gone with Great Elder Fu to the martial arts library to speak with a great elder there.
Great Elder Fu: " Greetings Great Elder Yi"
Great Elder Yi: "Welcome Great Elder Fu, what brings you to the martial arts library, and with this outer disciple?"
Great Elder Yi was a shorter old man with a slightly hunched back and a large golden tipped silvery white walking stick. His hair was speckled with greys and blacks and tied back in a small ponytail. It even looked like he was blind in one eye, the other eye with sky blue iris and looking strained, like the elder hadn't slept in a long time.
Great Elder Fu: "This disciple has created a martial arts technique and would like to give it to the library for compensation."
Great Elder Yi raised a brow and assessed Tai Bàoli, a small Viscera Training Stage Disciple had created a martial art? he wondered what it was.
Great Elder Yi: "Well, has he written it down yet?"
Tai Bàoli shook his head. He knew he wasn't qualified to have this conversation if he wasn't spoken too.
Great Elder Yi: "Well, I'll provide the materials for you to create a manual, how far are you in its completion and mastery? have you taken it to its peak yet? or what you think its peak is?"
This time Tai Bàoli would speak.
Tai Bàoli: "I've mastered it to a high degree, and I feel as if I'm just a step away from completion."
Great Elder Yi nodded and waved his hand, as he did the materials needed to create a martial arts manual appeared.
Tai Bàoli immediately got to writing it down. it probably took him 8 hours to finish. the entire time the great elders never left his side. As Tai Bàoli finished he'd put the name on the technique and hand it to Great Elder Yi.
When he did so a large smile went across Tai Bàoli's face as he got a notification from the system.

While Tai Bàoli was smiling and thinking about the system Great Elder Yi was furrowing his brows tightly and reading the martial art manual intensely, his blind eye shining with a tinge of gold.
Great Elder Yi: "this....this....is astounding, for a Viscera Training Stage Disciple to create such a phenomenal technique is almost unheard of. Minimum this is High Mortal Rank. Fantastic, Absolutely Fantastic! Great Job Tai Bàoli, Would you like to become my direct Disciple?"
Great Elder Fu and Tai Bàoli were both immediately caught off guard, a Viscera Training Stage Disciple becoming a direct Disciple? it was completely unheard of.
Great Elder Fu would cough slightly
Great Elder Fu: "Uhh, umm....Great Elder Yi, maybe that's a little much, would the other great elders even allow it?"
Great Elder Yi: "If they don't agree then they'd better talk with their fists, Im free to take any disciples I like."
Great Elder Yi released a little bit of his aura and slammed his walking stick, as he did so the entire room shook intensely like they were in an earthquake.
Great Elder Fu: "Of course Great Elder Yi, However wouldn't it be more acceptable if you just waited until he became a inner disciple? You'd get a lot less pushback. Obviously with Tai Bàoli's Comprehension he'd become a Bone Forging Stage Disciple soon enough, most probably within 2 years time."
Tai Bàoli wanted to laugh but held it in. He'd be Bone Forging Stage within months if his plan was successful.
Great Elder Yi furrowed his brows and thought for a moment.
Great Elder Yi: "Hmmmmm.....Maybe your right, alright well. How about it Tai Bàoli would you like to become my direct disciple when you become a inner disciple? I'll give you quite a bit of benefits when you become a Bone Forging Stage Disciple, and I'll give you my direct disciple token right now in case you ever get in a sticky situation until then....Also of all the elders below the Grand Elder and Patriarch if I claimed to be second strongest only Great Elder Fu would dare to try and claim first."
Great Elder Fu laughed heartily, Great Elder Yi and him had been friends for a long time and were quite competitive, he really would fight with Great Elder Yi over who's stronger.
Tai Bàoli was still just a teen, and he had always wanted to grow as Strong as possible and this would be a great opportunity so he immediately accepted.
Tai Bàoli: "Disciple meets Master!"
Tai Bàoli got down on both knees and bowed heavily.
Great Elder Yi laughed heartily.
Great Elder Yi: "HaHaHa! Fantastic! Stand up, here's 2000 martial credits, this technique shall be recorded in the martial arts libraries high mortal rank section from now on you are dismissed, find my mountain peak when you become a inner disciple, I'll have some of your fellow disciples set a cave abode up for you."
As Great Elder Yi spoke and waved his hand giving Tai Bàoli martial credits and then taking the manual and disappearing.
Tai Bàoli was still in shock.....2000 credits were double the amount Great Elder Fu thought he'd get.
Great Elder Fu: "hmmmm...Well then, congratulations. Follow me back to your pavilion room, you still have to finish the tournament in a days time, prepare well."
Tai Bàoli nodded and followed Great Elder Fu and returned to his room, what a day...this was insane....2000 martial credits. Who knew what Tai Bàoli could get with that.
Tai Bàoli assessed his current situation and went to bed with a smile after looking at his status screen

in the morning after sleeping incredibly comfortably had thought about what to use his experience on after the matches today, all that was left were incredibly difficult battles against Altering Muscle disciples or better.
Tai Bàoli was confident, but maybe someone else had hidden strengths like him. he didn't want to stay so arrogant as to assume he was the best.
Tai Bàoli would make his way to the Tournament grounds, This time there were disciples from all the other tournaments watching. Every other tournament had finished already and the only one left was the Martial Arts Tournament. Tai Bàoli while making his way to the edge of the tournament platform heard whisperings of something extraordinary that had occurred at the array testing grounds, apparently a new disciple in the Altering Muscle Stage had came in first place which was unheard of.
Tai Bàoli immediately smiled, this obviously had to be Liu Yanjiang and he was clearly beaming because of it. Fantastic for Liu Yanjiang Tai Bàoli thought.
Maybe she'd be able to go quite far in the study of Arrays.
However his happiness was slightly hindered when he heard whisperings of a young Viscera Training Stage Disciple who had come in second place of the weapon forging test. Apparently the disciple had created a High Mortal Rank weapon, and had only barely been beat by an Altering Muscle Stage Disciple who had been forging for 2 and a half years.
Tai Bàoli even heard the disciples name "Jiang Giang"
That's all he really heard though, as the noise in the area was so loud he had to focus intensely just to hear those conversations. As Tai Bàoli walked up to the edge of the platform he'd see the other combatants standing there waiting too.
Everyone was looking up at a floating earthen structure with names and other things written into it.

Tai Bàoli furrowed his brow and took a good look at all his opponents. It was going to be a hard fight for first place, Tai Bàoli was especially concerned about fighting Tian'Jun Jun and was also slightly concerned about the disciple named Xi'an Zi, any disciple that was Altering Muscle Stage and had only been training 2 and a half months had to be strong.
However quickly Tai Bàoli stopped worrying and focused up, he had to win this thing. He had to prove that clan background didn't mean everything.
