Tai Bàoli had been taken up the mountain as an outer disciple. And the entire time he'd have been listening to everything the elder near him had been saying. Tai Bàoli had basically been giving a small tour of the outer mountain while he was then dropped off at the new outer disciples pavilion.
all 100+ new disciples would be housed here, including the ones that passed without entering combat earlier. which was surprising to Tai Bàoli at least. It was also at this time that Tai Bàoli would go over his newfound knowledge, there was an Alchemy Pavilion, Weapons Pavilion, Array Pavilion, Mission Pavilion, Martial Arts Library, and Law Enforcer Pavilion.
Each Pavilion was a smaller part of much bigger Pavilions that lay in the sects secret world. A separate cultivation space for inner disciples and up. Which astounded Tai Bàoli, the power of Martial arts and cultivation was absurd and couldn't wait to go further down this path.
As Tai Bàoli sat on his new bed in the pavilion he'd think deeply about what to do with all the experience he accumulated from his last mission.

He had a whopping 16 points to allocate, he was about to sky rocket in power. hmmmmm he decided to just put an even output out for now just so he didn't overly focus on one thing since he'd didn't quite know everything about the stats yet. and as soon as he put the points in he felt his body go through a insane change all of his muscles flexed over and over again, And then his flesh started wiggling and writhing clearly a sign of entering the flesh training stage.

It seemed at least for the lower levels of the Body Refining realm he'd level up with 15 experience points allocated. Which was fantastic news, he'd be able to sky rocket through the body refining realm if it stayed true. but from what he knew the later stages of the body refining realm got unbelievably harder, it was told that even just a peak body Refining expert could take on dozens or a hundred of low tiered body refining experts without breaking a single sweat in mere seconds.
As Tai Bàoli got used to his body and strength he'd also remember that the elder told him he and all the other outer disciples could visit the martial arts library and choose one mid mortal rank technique OR two low mortal rank techniques. The reason the techniques were given out for free right away is because mortal rank techniques were usually widespread meaning other sects and probably large clans would probably already have a bunch of the techniques in their own Library so their was no reason not to allow the new outer disciples to learn one or some.
With this knowledge Tai Bàoli immediately went to the library just like most of the other new outer disciples did. He couldn't wait to learn some techniques. When he got to the library it was unbelievably crowded outside, there was a single entrance, and for everyone to enter it would take a very long time as one of the elders in charge of the library checked all the new outer disciples badges 1 by 1 and slowly let them in the library after confirming they had just become a disciple.
Unsurprisingly a lot of the disciples that were immediately accepted weren't here, presumably they had already come and gone getting their techniques. and in fact there were whisperings among the crowed that that were aloud to get High mortal grade techniques which was insane.
Finally after about 2 hours it was Tai Bàoli's turn to enter the library, Tai Bàoli gave the elder his identification token which recorded his age, name, and body refining realm, and surprisingly it had updated automatically to show he was in the flesh training stage.
unknown library elder: "advanced to flesh training already? you were just in strength training according to the ability obelisks, hmmm fantastic job during your platform I assume, it seems you had a small epiphany of sorts. you're fine to enter, choose 1 mid grade mortal technique or 2 low grade mortal techniques."
Then the elder tossed the identification badge back to Tai Bàoli, it seemed the elder had seen something like this happen a couple times before, but it seemed it still made him raise an eyebrow, maybe he'd keep track of Tai Bàoli in the future.
As Tai Bàoli entered he'd look around the inside of the ever expansive library. It was enormous almost bigger then the outside let on. There were plenty of disciples inside reading different techniques seeing if the techniques would be what they wanted.
The library itself was sectioned into a series of different areas each made for a specific type of cultivation or martial art technique. Defense, Offense, Range, Agility, Stealth, Sensory, weapon's, and the weapons category was even more sub-organized in the same way for weapon techniques that leaned more towards specific areas.
There was clearly thousands of techniques to choose from. and that was just on this floor which only housed the mortal rank techniques. Tai Bàoli would eagerly begin looking through all the techniques, however to his surprise as he touched the first technique he saw a special screen appear.

Tai Bàoli was absolutely ecstatic, he loved cultivation and the martial arts, especially since he was no longer going to be a farm hand in a rundown rural village. It was at this point Tai Bàoli would begin skimming through as many techniques as possible.
And Eventually he'd find two low mortal rank techniques that peaked his interest a ton.

Both were low mortal rank techniques usually for people with high comprehension and low strength and or dexterity respectively but Tai Bàoli had allocated his experience in such a way he could learn both. These two techniques paired with his dagger would make him quite the adversary.
Because of this Tai Bàoli decided they'd be his first techniques, and he'd bring them to an elder and check them out under his name. He couldn't wait to begin learning the new techniques.
As Tai Bàoli exited the library he saw a commotion in the street leading to the library, both Jiang Giang and Guan Feng were arguing with another set of unknown people, all of which clearly exuded the power of a Body Refining Stage 3/9 Viscera Training realm.
Guan Feng: "Hmph! If it wasn't for the elders nearby we'd smash your heads in! The Feng Clan and Giang Clan are clearly better then the Duang Clan and Jun Clan. Both of you clans had way less members pass the tournament this year!"
Jiang Giang: "Yea Losers! now get out of here before I show you the might of my Giang clans Giant Eagle claw!"
Tai Bàoli: ("They're arguing about there clans? that's stupid they're all in the Viscera Training Stage, none of them are guaranteed better than the other. whatever it doesn't have anything to do with me.")
As Tai Bàoli was ignoring the crowd and walking away he'd accidentally bump into another outer disciple watching the shenanigans.
Tai Bàoli: "Oh sorry man, my bad"
Coincidentally the one he bumped into was Liu Yanjiang, and surprisingly the words that came out of Liu Yanjiangs mouth were even more surprising
Liu Yanjiang: "No don't worry I'm sorry"
It shocked Tai Bàoli..... 1.they apologized, and 2. the voice sounded extremely feminine. Tai Bàoli was surprised was Liu Yanjiang a female? well I guess at 12 years old it was hard to see a difference especially with the bloodlust that usually emanated off of them.
Tai Bàoli: "You really don't need to apologize, it's really my fault. Also you're Liu Yanjiang right? my name's Tai Bàoli, nice to meet you"
Tai Bàoli gave Liu Yanjiang a big smile, he had no care for clans or statuses. And he for some reason wasn't really effected by Liu Yanjiangs bloodlust, maybe it was because he had saw plenty of villagers die in his rural town, and his own background steeling him so much that the small bloodlust that emanated off her didn't effect him much.
