Rohan continues to explore the system. He could not help but exclaim when he reads the description for 'Relation' attribute. "This is unbelievable"
[A.N: This attribute was supposed to be shown on Agnes' attribute panel, but somehow, I forgot to write it. I know I am an idiot. I have already made the changes in the previous chapter]
Relation: This attribute tells the emotions that the target holds about the user. There are three categories of relation:
Positive: A person with positive relation with host will not find anything wrong with the user's actions.
Neutral: A person with negative relation with the user will treat the user as an ordinary person.
Negative: A person with negative relation with the user will find something wrong with every action of the user.
Note: The relation status can be changed by having conversations with the targets. If a user has positive relation and the host makes them believe something that they later find to be a lie, then the positive relation will decrease. Similarly, if the relation is negative and host makes the target believe something that they find to be true, then the negative status will decrease.
"The relation attribute showed 92% when I saw uncle Agnes' attributes. Wait, is that why I was spared when I disturbed him during sex?"
"System am I correct?"
A window appeared in front of him with some text on it
"Yes"
"I get it now but…" Rohan said.
"They could have at least dressed up before opening the door! Is there a reason behind it too?"
The text on the window changed
"Yes, the target with more positive values will give more importance to the user, similarly the target with more negative values will also give more importance to the user"
"Meaning they would try to kill me, I got it." Rohan interpreted the second part of the answer.
"So, opening the door for me was more important than getting themselves dressed up. That… somehow doesn't feel right, does it?"
This time nothing appeared on the window.
"So, even you don't know the answer?"
Rohan gave up after getting no reply from the system.
"Alright, let's see what else do you have" Rohan started exploring the system again. He was satisfied after he learned how the system shop and the inventory worked and he also realized that he could control the system with his thoughts.
"What is that?" Rohan exclaimed as he was surfing the system shop.
Trial Insight: A blessing from the God of Trials. It gives a description about the trial that the target is facing in his life.
Price: Help someone through their trial in life.
Rohan was amused "This one cannot be bought using system points, as expected from the God of Trials."
After he was done playing around with the system. Rohan had a fun idea so he walks out of his hut full of excitement.
. . .
"I love this village."
By the evening Rohan had met with every person in the village. And he saw that all of them had a positive relation with him with a lot of them being more than 80% percent. It felt nice to know that so many people think good of you.
Rohan was returning home when he passed by Milo's hut.
"Hmm… should I check out his hut. Maybe I will find out something about the way he died. According to Shani Dev he was a pretatma or something."
Rohan walks to Milo's hut and breaks the door with some effort. He searches the hut for some time until he finds a box. "This looks interesting" Rohan though as he opened the box. Inside the box was a black sphere with crimson patterns. "What is this?"
"Ding… Preta core detected. Break the core to earn mana points"
"This thing will give me mana points! Awesome."
Rohan tries to break the sphere but "Umm… System why can't I break it"
"It's not snow ball you idiot user, you are just too weak, use something hard to break it." The system replies.
"Cough, cough, calm down bro, you got no chills." Rohan goes out of the hut to bring a fist sized stone and hits the sphere with the brick.
Crack, the sphere broke and Rohan saw a notification appear.
"Ding… Destroyed the preta core, you have gained 110 mana points."
"Congratulations you have leveled up."
"What… so much!" Rohan exclaimed at the unexpected gain. "Why does this thing give me more points than killing an actual Preta?"
"The one you had killed was just a seedling, so it gave you less mana points. A preta core on the other hand contains preta spirit which pretas use to get stronger. This is a low-grade core and some of the spirit was already absorbed so you only gained 110 mana points." The system cleared his doubt.
"What do you mean I levelled up?" Rohan asked excitedly.
"The mana points that you earn are used to level up, and with each level up you will gain attribute points, which you can use to change your attributes."
"Well then why didn't you show my level earlier?" Rohan asked confused?
"I didn't want to write a big zero on the panel, that's why." The system replied.
Dark circles appear on Rohan's head when he reads the system's honest answer.
"Show me my status then"
Name: Rohan Gupta
Species: Human
Age: 17
Level: 1 (40/300)
Strength: 12
Agility: 13
Stamina: 12
System points: 0
Attribute points: 3
"So that's how it was supposed to look." Rohan mutters as he looks at his status.
"Okay let me add one point to each attribute."
With Rohan's thought one point is added to each of the attributes.
Name: Rohan Gupta
Species: Human
Age: 17
Level: (40/300)
Strength: 13
Agility: 14
Stamina: 13
System points: 0

Rohan felt a surge of power in his body, at the same time he felt lighter. "This feels good" he muttered.
After searching through Milo's hut some more and finding nothing, Rohan made his way back to his own hut.
