"Okay, so what is this request about?" the delivery person took out his note pad ready to write down stuff.
"I want to see if the delivery club can deliver a live monster"
"....Wait?! What?!" shouted Shin from the back.
As Rualan was about to answer his question, the delivery person shouted.
"Hey, no listening in on the conversation!"
Which stunned Shin for a moment, Alaine as well.
"So, anyway, that right? Got it, I will ask the president about that, but I think you will have more luck with the Hunting club"
"I thought about that as well, but they said it would cost a bit to capture one alive without accidentally killing it"
"Sounds--"
"Dude, stop listening on our conversation" the delivery person silenced Shin with those words and a glare from who knows where hidden by the cap that somehow casted a shadow over the entire face.
"But--"
"Shoosh! I don't want to hear your thoughts until I'm done with my job"
"....."
"So, a monster delivery is your only option?" the delivery person
"As far as I know"
"Right, okay....What if you ask some classmates or students with capture skills, would that work?"
"Possibly, I haven't thought much since I don't want to waste my time finding the right person for this particular job, so I go to the expert instead"
"....."
(Cost, requirements, clubs(no go), and....what about time?)
"Is there a time limit to prepare for these things?"
"The competition would start in about 2 weeks, so 13 days max"
"What?!" Alaine shouted in surprise.
"Did you two not hear me making it clear not to interrupt?" the delivery person turned around and looked at the two who are clearly listening to their conversation.
"Ah, it's her fault" Shin pointed at Alaine without hesitation.
"Mother■■■■■■!"
Slapping on the head ended up hurting her hand instead.
"....."
"..." Rualan watches their exchange in silence and turns to look at the delivery guy.
"I don't mind them listening so can we continue?"
"Okay, sure. So from what you told me so far, I think it will be quite difficult, mostly because as far as I know there aren't many people in the Delivery Club, and the members aren't combat type, but more of a runner type"
"Then what about you?" she asked, as far as she could tell this delivery person did not match the vibe the members of the club would have, which is the sense of exploration or meeting new people, the way he converses is also more on the professional type rather than carefree chatter.
"....I do combat a bit, and delivery"
The pause made her suspicious of this person.
"...What about hunting monsters?"
"....Good enough to survive the encounter"
"...."
"..."
"....."
"....."
(Did I just find a perfect person for the job?)
(Did I just become her next target?)
The two thought.
____________
Watching the two talking to each other, Shin couldn't help but feel suspicion as he listened and watched them together.
(I definitely know that person from somewhere)
Rualan Mavik.
He remembered her as a side character for Alaine's route who became her assistant during the early stage of her relationship and the protagonist getting nice and friendly, helping the main character and Alaine from time to time.
Her personality is quiet and unbothered, but silently observes the two from time to time, despite being engaged with them the most in the story she never gets too close to them.
In the 18+ route which contains plenty of steamy scenes, one of them includes Rualan trapped in the room while the protagonist and Alaine engage in a heated session leaving her a blushing mess by the time they finish.
(So sexy and yet not a potential love interest is a crime!!!)
Shin's goal for coming here was to make the lab room one of the make out room (he called it) for him and his lovers whenever they want, but seeing Rualan now in the flesh, he couldn't help but thought 'Yeah, she should join as well'. So while the two were making out, Shin tries to sense her, which like the steamy scene she was hidden somewhere in the lab room likely out of consideration for them, but sadly for her Shin was about to go up a step than usual which will lead to a th---
"Well, I'll probably be back by the end of the day if you are still here"
"That's alright, I'm usually here everyday"
"Got it, see you later then"
"See you"
The two had already finished their conversation, the delivery guy left the room not before looking at Shin and Alaine.
"You two better not interrupt next time"
"No promises" Shin replied with a smug grin.
".....", the delivery guy just look at him weirdly; which he thinks he is as he couldn't tell by the shadow cast over his face while closing the door.
