Chapter 2 - Chapter 1

Six years ago, this was how much time passed since the first attack of the gods began. Millions have died. Out of this destruction, a new hope was born. People loved by the gods. These people are called "players."

Out of all the players. There was one single man who wasn't blessed with the system or the gods. In the age where the supernatural became the norm. He was the only one who they called "normal." Despite this fact, He is one of the most feared.

Right now, one of the best places for players needs this man's help. The great foundation, to be exact. The top 5 players are in an important meeting today. The meeting will decide the fate of the country. A man with blue hair and a suit hands out the documents.

"As you can see, this is the situation at the moment. We aren't going to last if we let them get into the gates. We need every player in this city, and even if you don't like it. We need him. He is the best bet."

A man groans. His eyes seem to twitch. He slams his fist on the table. This man's is called "Drunken tank." A player known for his defensive style and drinking habits.

"Look, Alvia, don't get cocky because you can call the shots here! You know what it means bringing him here."

"Please shut it. Go drink another bottle while you are at it." A woman scoffs at him. Clearly anoyyed.

"What did you say?"

"Calm down." Alvia tries his best to calm these two down. Despite being allies. These two have a bitter sweet relationship.

"Don't worry, you know I won't lose against him. After all, I am the wicked bow." She tells him this with confidence.

"How the hell did I end up with all of you like comrades?" A young man is seen rethinking his life choices.

"Please, at least I didn't name myself. 'Lighting blade.'"

The drunken tank can be heard laughing at this comment. The young man is about to give her a piece of his mind until they hear clapping. A handsome man with white hair laughs at them.

"Let's get back on topic, shall we?"

All three nod. They can't do much against his word. After all, this was the selfless knight. He is the second strongest player in the country. Alvia sighs and continues.

"Recently, there has been more monster activity near the tree, 20-70% more than usual. Not only that, but more signs of one of the demon kings appearing are getting more frequent."

"This going to be fun, why do we need him, though?" Lighting blade comments. That's a question every one of them had.

"To put it simply. He is just the best man for the job, I will say he is stronger or even stronger than everyone in this room. He is the definition of a wild card, but at least he will listen to a friend."

"Yea, sure. Stronger than us! What a good joke."

Aliva laughs.

"You will see. Because I already called him. He is on his way. "

"WHAT!"

The drunken tank screams out. Everyone is shocked as well. They didn't expect Alvia to call him over like that. He just sighs.

"Knowing him. He will be here in..3..2...1.."

The wall by the right side of the building is destroyed. They see a man with gray and colorless eyes. His sword is on hand. The man scoffs at them. They are left in shock.

"Why did you summon me here for? Is the tree finally going to be destroyed?"

They try to speak out, but for some reason, they can't. It's like this man's whole existence is something completely different. This was the power of the man hated by the gods. He looks at them and smiles.

"So these are the top players. At least I can work with this."

Alvia hands him the same documents, and he goes through them quickly and sighs. He shakes his head. He whispers something to Alvia.

"Are you sure?"

"Yea, don't worry. I know the old man."

The wicked bow is counfsed and asks the question that should have been asked since the start.

"HOW DID YOU GET IN HERE!"

"Easy, I remember the whole layout of the city. So I just crashed into here. It was pretty easy, all things considered." Everyone is silent at his response. He then moves on to the topic in hand.

"About the demon king, don't worry about it. They owe me one after all. What we need to worry about is what's coming aside from the demon king."

The drunken tank looks at him with killing intent. He laughs at him. But there is no emotion behind his laughter.

"Good joke, Alasdair."

Alvia looks at everyone worried. He looks at him to try and lighten up the mood. He nods at him.

"Sorry for that. My name is Uzma. The man hated by the gods, and if you want this country to survive, you better get used to me being here." Uzma bows down. He looks at everyone in the room and smirks a little. He points his sword at them.

"Now, I need some help. I will tell you everything I know about what's happening, and you will take me to the nearest catacomb."

"Tell us everything, don't mind them. If you want, I can bring you to one of the catacombs. In a matter of fact. I will tell you the location and you fly there."

"Fair enough, everyone listen closely. Because this doesn't hold the fate of the country but the tree itself. So pay attention to everything I say."

"How can we know if everything you are saying is true?" The selfless knight questions Uzma. He just grins at him.

"Then have fun watching your country burn to the ground."

******

Uzma is training in the catacomb. There was one 40 minutes away from where he met up with Aliva. But with his speed, it took him 20 minutes. He was disappointed in the amount of time it took.

"Back then, it would have been 10."

Seeing their reactions to the information he told them was hilarious to him. Even much as they want to deny it. There is no stopping it. The tree will be destroyed and, most importantly. A raid will happen in the great foundation. Raids in the world are like video games. Instead, there is no raid boss. All you can do is try to survive. That's why they are so dangerous. You have to kill everything before you get the "Victory" screen.

He finishes training. He cuts his hand and lets the blood spill on the ground. He makes a circle. Suddenly, a voice can be heard.

"So it's you again."

"Yea, look. Things are starting to move fast. I need your help. When I summon, you get your men ready."

"You sure are demanding. Just make sure to summon me."

"Don't worry about it. I always keep my promises. Plus, you owe me one. Isn't that right? demon king."

The voice goes silent. It does a heavy sigh, and the voice stops talking. It's as if it hanged up a phone call. Uzma chuckles a bit. He gets ready to leave the catacomb. All with one thought in his mind. Why should he eat today?
