'Do you wasn't to live?'
The words finally became clear to Kim, but they only seemed to raise more questions and doubts within Kim.
Firstly, he had lost consciousness and could only assume that he was now in his own inner consciousness, but then how was he suddenly able to hear voices in the place which was supposed to be the deepest depths of his own mind. Another question was, simply put, who? Just who the hell was powerful enough to evade his mind , and what did the mysterious person mean by the words:
Do you want to live. Kim could take a guess on what the words meant, but he couldn't be sure as they were simply to vague.
'w-who?' Kim unknowingly thought. Prompting a response from the mysterious speaker.
'There is no time to answer that question. The technique only lasts for so long, so answer. Do you want to live?'. The words immediately came out audible this time, but the tone was a bit forceful and there were far too many unknowns here.
Kim being the prudent person that he was, was extremely hesitant. It was a normal reaction, and his brain worked overtime as he tried to conjure up plausible answers to the many riddles that currently plagued him.
Who is this person?
What does she mean by 'the technique only lasts for so long'.
Just how does she intend to help me.
And, what happens if I refuse the offer.
Such were the questions hovering around Kim's mind, and he seemed to space out. Funny, how could one space out in their own inner consciousness. It was theoretically next to impossible, yet it was the only way to describe Kim's current state.
'Well! I am waiting for your answer, boy!'. He was jolted from his deep thoughts by the speakers words. The words themselves had started oozing impatience, whoever the speaker was, he/she didn't like waiting on someone else.
'I...' Kim wasn't sure whether what he was about to say was the correct decision, but for the first time in his life he had decided to throw caution to the wind and went with the most obvious choice.
'I do'. He thought simply, and was immediately replied by the voice which said
'Good, I was getting tired of waiting. What you have to do is quite simple, let me in'.
'?!'
'Excuse me'. Kim thought, he was puzzeled at the speakers vague words.
'Please elaborate....' Kim added.
'Its simple, just let go of control of your body and I'll handle the rest'.
'sorry, not happening'. Kim replied immediately after hearing the words. He didn't need to think as just the thought of handing over full control of his body to another person was completely unthinkable to Kim, much less a person who he had absolutely zero information about.
'huh, you dare refuse my generous offer!!'. The voice roared, flashes of green light filled the dark expanse that was Kim's conscience. Kim, oblivious to what this meant said:
'Sorry, I can't hand my body over to you, forget it'.
'Y-you!! How dare you?! I give you a chance, and you refuse me?! If you won't allow me, then I will just have to take you, FORCEFULLY!!' The green light surged and attacked Kim. Kim was never just going to hand out his body to anyone, no matter what and he thought he could still make some sort of negotiations, but that seemed to have fallen through even before they began. It seemed that whoever the speaker was, he/she had apparently given up on asking politely and was now fully intent on forcefully taking Kim's body for their self. The person was forcing powerful Qi into Kim's body.
Kim didn't understand why or how, but his body was filled with this powerful Qi and his consciousness was flickering. He became wozy as he continuously regained and lost consciousness. He felt a pain that was as if someone was trying to tear off his mind from within it as the green Qi forced it's way into Kim's body, the pain was unbearable.
He wanted to scream at the peak of his lungs, but he couldn't with his consciousness flickering to and fro, he also wanted to just hold his head or just express the pain he felt somehow but he couldn't due to the exact same reason.
He didn't even know where the speaker was or how he/she was able to do all this, the confusion and worry from lack of information combined with the pain assaulted Kim and he was forced to just suffer it all silently. It was to the extent that he'd thought he was going to die from the pain of the entire thing, until of course a system message rang in his ears.
*Ding*

You have activated the skill, Adapt lv.2!

He was elated as he saw the message on the panel floating in front of him, and the skill activation was followed by the familiar feeling of relief. All the previous pain had now almost disappeared and he quickly regained himself, he found that he was now conscious and he could see the claw of the demonic bear just a few inches away from his face, somehow the beast's movements were slowed so he hadn't died yet but his body was still in horrible shape and just then he heard another system message.
*Ding*

You have gained skill activation bonus, your body will now be healed.

A blue light suddenly shone from Kim's body and the latter could feel himself being restored. He could feel all of his wounds closing up and even felt his fatigue being washed away. In all, his body regained it's vigor and he didn't waste any time in activating a skill to get away from the attack.

In a few incredibly fast movements, he had managed to get away from the attack in time but he still sustained quite a lot of damage. The damage sustained was so much, he could feel that his newly regenerated health had now been reduced by more than half from being grazed by a single attack.
'Forget an upper grade seven, this beast is at least a grade six!!' Kim thought, he couldn't waste anymore time now and had to end this fight while the horned demonic bear was still recuperating.
He concentrated on himself, the Qi energy from the mysterious person could still be felt from within him. The pain had been reduced by his passive but it was still there making it hard for Kim to forget about it. And suddenly, an idea came to his mind.
'my skill requires Qi to activate, but it was never specified by anyone what kind of Qi was to be used, so it should be possible to incorporate another person's Qi into my attacks.....rem'. He sought confirmation.
'its possible, but I highly advise against-'. Rem tried to warn, but Kim cut in.
"thanks, thats all I need". Kim said while beaming a smile.
'Y-you wouldn't dare!!!' the foreign voice screamed from within Kim, but he simply ignored it.
"Sorry, but I'mma have to borrow a little bit of your Qi". He said, the smile still plastered on his face as he faced the creature that had already finished recovering from the previous attack, and noticing Kim's intention, was already preparing another attack of the same technique.
*Tsuuuuuucht*
The red sparks flew wildly as the creature prepared yet another attack.
"Fuuu". Kim breathed with his eyes closed, and started calling out the Qi from within him. The green coloured energy started to escape from his skin and wrapped itself around his body and sword. The Qi was so powerful, when it clashed with the sparks generated from the demonic bear's attack the pillars holding up the room started cracking. The ceiling started falling apart and the barricade shook wildly. It was pure chaos, generated from two existences going head to head.
Blood escaped Kim's lips as he manifested the foreign energy as well as a deep pain, but he didn't stop. He just gritted his teeth and bore it all.
He rose his sword up and pointed it directly at the beast in front of him, he then thought for some time about the skill that would make the most of this powerful energy.
After some time of thought, he opened his mouth and uttered some words.
"Heavenly tempest, rupturing sword slash!!" He yelled.
