Chapter 11 - -Altercation of words-

"Yawn... Remind me again why the hell we had to watch such an old and boring story". Said a man who looked no older than fifty years old. He had blue eyes, flowing white hair and an enermous build. This man sat at a round table with four other individuals and was picking his nose with a nonchalant expression on his face, the man was referring to a six sided panel which just finished playing the story of the heavenly disciple.

"Watch your mouth. That 'old and boring story' is the life of the heavenly disciple himself". An old man with dark blue hair and a slim but muscular build snapped at the heavenly tempest sword saint.

"Indeed. The heavenly disciple was the greatest martial artist to ever walk the face of this world and as such, he should be accorded due respect". Another old man with a bald head supported the other man.

"Huh, it seems that you fools have forgotten what happened to you the last time. How about I jog your memory with a little beating". The heavenly tempest sword saint said while cracking his knuckles.

"Oh, you wanna go?!" Said the man with blue hair, he was twitching angrily and was about to stand up.

"Hmm, I'd rather not destroy this place because of such a minor scuffle". Said the bald man, still maintaining his calm but a slight irritation could be caught in his voice.

"Hmph, instead of giving a stupid excuse like that just say you're scared of the beating I would have given you" the sword saint provoked.

"What did you say? I, the master of the yellow mist lightning temple, afraid of you? There's no way in hell". The bald man couldn't hide his irritation any longer, he stood up and began releasing his aura, alongside the other man with blue hair. But the sword saint responded to this by releasing his own aura to match that of the other two masters.

"Ugh...so childish". A woman with black hair, dressed in a dark green hanfu said while covering her mouth with her sleeve. She was referring to the sight before her, where three extremely old men were behaving like kids.

"I know right, they do this everytime we hold a meeting like this". Another female with brown hair said with an exasperated look on her face.

"I hope he gets here soon".

"Same".

"Hoho, you two have gotten a little stronger than last time". The sword saint said while smiling, he was single handedly holding his own against two other masters of one of the six great martial arts in the <32nd Murim>.

"Tch..." They said together, beads of sweat already dropping from their faces as they were still struggling even though it was a two vs one.

"Why don't we kick this up a notch". The sword saint said, he was about to raise his output when.

"Hold it right there!" A voice coming from the corridor said.

The three men simultaneously drew back their aura while looking at the people walking into the room. One of them was an old man with golden hair and eyes, he wore an outfit with the sign of the Golden Phoenix sect on it's back and his arms were behind him. The old man walked forward with another younger person belonging to the same sect behind him. The younger person was a blonde with brown irises and a toned body, he had pretty good looks and the Qi he was emitting was extremely powerful. The old man wore a smile on his face as he slowly walked into the room, his aide entering right after him.

"Damn show off......." One of the three men muttered.

"What's all this I hear about destroying one of my sect's buildings". The old man who just walked into the room said, still smiling.

"You brought an outsider into this sacred meeting, isn't that against the rules? Master Elijah of the Golden Phoenix sect". Said the sword saint.

"There was never a rule like that to begin with, so I don't see any problem inviting my protege to this meeting. After all, he will be participating in the upcoming so I guess it's only right he attends, sword saint Aaron of the heavenly tempest sword school". Retorted the leader of the Golden Phoenix sect as he sat down

"So if you don't mind, I would appreciate it if you sat down so that we can begin the meeting". Elijah added.

"Hmph....". Aaron huffed before reluctantly sitting down, and so did the other town.

Now, all the six main factions of the <32nd murim> sat on the round table for a meeting. The topic, nothing other than the world's that was soon to hold. The atmosphere was tense as silence reigned for some time, they were in one of the Golden Phoenix sect's buildings. As per the rule of hosting the next events meeting in the domain of the reigning champion, in this case was the Golden Phoenix sect.

"It still doesn't feel right that only your disciple gets a sneak preview of what's going to happen. If you were going to bring a disciple of yours, you should have checked with the rest of us beforehand. Even though you are the reigning champion, you shouldn't defile such a serious meeting, it isn't right or fair don't you all agree?" Aaron said, beckoning his fellow masters, his stubborn personality wasn't going to allow him to just let this slide.

"Hmmm.. he does have a point". Said the woman in the green dress, the master of the eternal jade palm clan.

"For once, the old bastard is actually making some sense". Said the blue haired man, the master of the great wave sword school.

"I also have qualms with these actions of yours". Said the bald man, the sect leader of the yellow mist lightning clan.

"I also agree, a child shouldn't be brought to an adult gathering". Said the mistress of the spring fist clan.

"So, now that everyone concurred, what do you have to say about this issue". Aaron said, supposedly driving the final nail. He was grinning a victorious grin as he thought that he won the altercation of words.

"Now, now. I don't believe that to be of any significance since the 's proceedings are going to be just the way it has been all these years, only difference is that the competition will definitely be more fierce. Well, it's only natural given the peculiarity of this year's grand prize". Elijah retorted, smile still plastered on his face.

"...!" The room became quiet. To all of them, Elijah's words made complete sense and they justified his actions. Even the stubborn Aaron had run out of counters.

"Alright, without further ado. I officially commence the 95th planning meeting".

They began intense discussion concerning the upcoming event, the revenue that would be generated, important people who have take an interest in it and the like.

In the , the headquarters are the ones who decide things like the grand prize for each world's . During the meeting, they tried to decipher why they had chosen such a great prize for this year's instead of the usual mid to high level martial art scrolls, stat buff potions and the like accompanied by a generous amount of money. But it was a fruitless effort. It was normal, they had been living in it all their lives but the was still shrouded in a thick fog of mystery.
