"I don't think it's safe to-----------".
My senses were returning slowly, starting from my ears.
"Relax, he just---------------. And I -----------------------".
I could only catch some of what they were saying, since I was still just recovering.
'Where am I?" Was the first thing I thought before remembering that I passed out.
"You should---------------------- what's wrong with----------------!"
"Huh------------------------!"
I couldn't quite make out what they were saying but from the tone of it, it sounded like they were arguing about something. It was highly likely that something was related to me.
*Bang*
The door suddenly sounded. My guess was that someone had just walked out and that someone wasn't in such a good mood , seeing as they banged the door so hard probably almost removing it from it's hinges.
I decided to open my eyes.
Slowly but surely the light was returning to my vision. And then
"Aha! I knew he was going to wake up soon!" I heard a voice exclaim this. The voice sounded quite scruffy, my guess was that the speaker was a rugged and muscular middle aged man, but the face I opened my eyes to meet completely contradicted this hypothesis.
It was the face of a handsome young man who looked like he was in his early 30s, infact it wasn't too far fetched to say that this man was in his late 20s. The man had very sharp features that almost surpassed mine. I was quite confident about my looks but if this person was just four, no five years younger he'd be able to model for any of the big shot companies back on earth. I decided to speak.
"W-who?' I uttered. The word came out more unrefined than I intended. It was then that I realized, I was surprisenly bad at expressing myself. Well, it was only natural since I spent most of my childhood in a place secluded from the outer world. So I had virtually no socialization skills.
I tried to get up from where I lay when
"Don't! You may have regained consciousness but your body is still recovering. You stayed in the stomach of the beast for quite a long time and inhaled some of its internal body toxins, most of which are quite fatal to most humans. Infact, it's a miracle that you survived".
This person seemed quite well versed in medical know-how and other things related to it, which made me wonder whether he was a doctor.
"......!!"
He looked at me for some time before saying
"You asked for my name right, it's Lucas".
"......!!"
I was silent again for some time before asking.
"Are you a doctor?"
I asked in hopes of satisfying my curiosity. But then his reply shocked me.
"Far from it, actually....... I am a martial artist. A practicioner of the heavenly tempest sword technique".
'H-huh?!' I thought to myself.
How was someone this skilled in medical treatment a martial artist? I didn't know.
But come to think of it, this was supposed to be a 'murim' after all so it wasn't that strange.
"Heavenly tempest sword technique?" I asked and he replied
"That's right".
The name sounded like something I read in a novel once.
'i guess even though the world has ended, the murim will be the murim'. I thought to myself before deciding to ask
"Where am I anyway?".
Lucas replied
"We are in the infirmary of the great heavenly tempest sword school. The equipment here is quite outdated but I was still able to make proper use of it to treat you".
"Where exactly". I decided to question further completely fed up with having no idea of where I was at all times.
"Why, in the main city of course. If your asking of its direct location then on the outskirts but most of the schools land was inside the city though".
" I see. Thank you". I said finally satisfied.
"...!!"
There was a momentary silence before the man named Lucas uttered some words that I could never expect him to.
"You are a TRANSMIGRATOR, aren't you?"
I was shocked. I expected my attribute to be more, you know unheard of.
"H-how did you know?" I asked.
"How wouldn't I. From your behavior to the peculiar circumstances that joined our paths, it would be quite difficult not to notice".
"......!"
I looked at the man suspiciously.
"Oh come on, don't give me that look. I am sure you are already aware of the
"What
"Huh?! Isn't it because of what is gonna be happening here in a month that you even came here? Don't tell me you got amnesia!"
I checked through my memories just to confirm Lucas' words. All my memories were intact, I simply had no idea of what this
"I think I have an idea but could you please remind me by explaining it to me in detail?"
There was a silence. I was never confident in my acting skills after all so there was a chance he had already caught on to my hastily prepared facade.
*Sighs*
Lucas let out a deep sigh before saying.
"An
".....!!"
"This world's
"N-no way".
I couldn't believe it, who could blame me though. After having witnessed what those very same giants did back on my world, it was natural.
"Yes way". Lucas replied me.
"Alright, I gotta be somewhere right now so I'll be on my way. Try not to strain your body too much, if you need anything or anything comes up just ring the bell over there and I will come as fast as I can".
"Will do". I said, starting to feel more comfortable talking to the man.
He left and closed the door behind him.
I lay on my bed and I started recalling what happened to me back when I was in the beast's stomach.
After a fruitless search for weapons that I could make use of, I attempted to transmigrate myself out of there, but.
[
Error. You have insufficient karma points.

Karma points?
'hey, rem'.
I said in my thoughts.
'you can hear this right. Could you please explain to me what karma points are?'
And almost immediately afterwards
["Karma points are the transmigrators currency. Every TRANSMIGRATOR is expected to have a certain number of karma points if he/she wishes to transfer to another world"].
'i see. And how can I obtain these points'. I asked another question.
["Karma points can be obtained by completing job requests made by clients or you can simply purchase them with coins, but they are quite expensive so the first option is more commonly used"].
It was all starting to make some sense.
'coins must be the generally accepted currency in the
["Correct"].
I continued my question and answer session with rem for what seemed like several hours until.
*Boom*
The room's door flew open and a huge bear of a man stepped into the room. He was wearing a hanfu that had the insignia of the heavenly tempest sword school embedded on it.
"Hey, you.
He pointed at me before continuing.
How long are you gonna lay there comfortably. Our hospitality isnt free you know".
