Chapter 7 - Chapter 7-Alexis

I stared at her still expecting an answer from her. "I honestly don't." My heart fluttered and my eyes softened. Honestly, I wanted to lose the cold exterior towards her but it all came back to me when that woman walked out of her door flushed and freshly fucked.

"So for now, no divorce, no annulment." I said. "I'll book a check up soon and let you know when it is." I told her and she nodded. "Vicky hates your entire being and she probably fantasizes about gutting you." I informed further, just to tease her. "Uhm. That's comforting. But duly noted." She said, rubbing the back of her neck.

"Constantly check your phone." I said to her and she nodded. "I'll see you, soon." I said and she nodded. I spun on my heel to leave. "Wait." She said and I turned to her. "I don't know your address. I want to pick you up when the date is confirmed." She said, awkwardly. "I will text you. That's why I said check your phone." I said, smiling at her.

I spun on my heel to walk away again. "Wait." She said again and I soon around around again. "Sup?" I asked. "Can I hug you?" She asked and I sighed. Don't know where her entire being had been but fuck, I'd shower because i hated to admit it then but I wanted to hug her too. "Sure." I said opening my arms and walking into her embrace.

"I'll see you soon." I said as I pulled away and left. The whole morning was shitty that day. I drove home from Kasey's place, deep in thought about everything that was going on in my life lately. It was proven how much one night can turn your whole life upside down.

I still couldn't belive that I was married. Then I also had to process the fact that I was pregnant. With a complete stranger's child. A stranger that I was married to. Heavy sigh. I got to my place, hung my keys, threw my phone on the couch and I went to the kitchen to prepare something to eat.

"How was it?" Sophie asked, asking out of my bathroom, in a towel, water dripping from her hair onto my floor. "Okay. Some woman walked out of her apartment when she opened the door. Seems like she had a fun night." I said, rolling my eyes. "Never in my life have I ever thought I'd witness the day." She said, placing her hand on her hip.

"What? The day Kasey King had a one night stand? I mean it seem like an everyday occurrence for her." I said, moving around the kitchen preparing food for us. "No. Not that. I meant the day Alexis King would be jealous." She said, smirking and pointing an accusing finger at me.

"No fucking way. Firstly, it's Alexis Reid, bitch. Secondly, I am not jealous. I'm never jealous." I defended. I mean, was trying to convince her or myself? I wasn't jealous. Maybe if I said it enough... "Yes fucking way. Firstly you're married now so it's King not Reid." She started and I rolled my eyes. "Second, it sounds like you're saying it to yourself more than you are to me." She said.

Yeah right. I wasn't jealous. I was never the jealous type. Plus, what was there to be jealous about? Kasey King and I weren't a thing. So it made zero sense to be jealous. "Saying it in your head won't change a thing." She pointed out. "Why are you here?" I asked halting my movement and pointing the spoon at her.

"You mean your house or my general existence?" She asked and I sighed. Just then, Vicky and Oliver barged in. "Great, now there's more of them." I muttered under my breathe. "What crawled up your ass?" Vicky asked and I sighed. I had been doing that a lot lately. "Kasey King." Sophie answered for me and both Vicky and Oliver waited their eyebrows.

"Shut the fuck up, Sophie. I swear to God you can do anything but that." I spat out. Why the fuck was I so angered? "See? She's been like that to me this whole morning. After finding out she's pregnant she just- shit." She cut herself off. Victoria and Oliver had not clue about the pregnancy.

"She's what?" Vicky exclaimed. "I thought I was the only one interested in dick around here." Oliver pointed out. "Thanks Sophie." I said. "I'm sorry. It slipped out." She defended. "How are you pregnant?" Oliver asked. "Yeah, how?" Vicky added.

"IVF." I simply said. "So you're telling me that you, Alexis King, got an IVF done, voluntarily?" Vicky asked. What the fuck was with everyone calling me Alexis King? "It happened that night I married Kasey King. Turns out we did much more than just getting married." I explained. "Are you always going to say her name like that?" Sophie asked, adjusting her towel around her torso and I couldn't help but check out her breasts. What? I'm gay. Plus it's nothing I hadn't seen before.

I then turned back to Vicky and Oliver, ignoring her. "So you're married and..." Vicky trailed off, checking me out before proceeding. "Barefoot and pregnant apparently." She finished off. "Nice one, babe." Sophie said, high fiving her wife. "It makes me so happy that you find my misery amusing." I said flatly and sarcastically.

"If anything, I always thought that the situation you're in would be Vicky and Sophie's life by now." Oliver said. "Except it isn't. It's mine." I said, finally allowing myself to cry because wow! I needed to. I felt like something was weighing heavy on my chest and shoulders and I couldn't take it anymore.

"Babe, don't cry." Sophie said rushing over to me. Her height gave me the advantage of laying my head on her shoulder and snuggling my face onto her neck as I cried. "Was it something I said?" I heard Oliver ask and I assumed Vicky gave him a terrible glare with how quick he shut up about it.

"I don't know what to do." I said, sobbing louder. "You have us." Vicky assured as she pulled me from her wife and wrapped her arm around me. "You'll always have us." Oliver said as he pulled Sophie to us and embraced us in a giant group hug. "What do you need right now?" Vicky asked as she placed a kiss on my hair. "Well right now I feel like I wanna puke." I said.

"Ouch! This is the best hug we've had. You should appreciate a hug from papa Oliver." Oliver said, feigning hurt. "Don't call yourself papa Oliver, you gay bitch." Vicky said. "No its not the hug. The hug is great. Someone stinks and these eggs I'm mixing don't help either." I said pulling away, gagging. "Oh that's me. Sorry. I just came from the gym." Vicky pointed out.

I rushed to the bathroom when I felt my chest getting hot and saliva filled my mouth and I covered my it with my hand. I emptied my stomach into the toilet. Someone rubbed my back as I went at it. I could tell by the very pink towel hanging next to me that it was Sophie.

It could never be Vicky and Oliver. They couldn't deal. I could feel the tears running down my face as I puked. "It's okay." She said, brushing my hair with her hand. Fuck that was soothing. The brushing not the puking.

It was going to be a long nine months.
