"AHHHHHH!"
"HELP ME PLEASE!"
Screams, shouts, and pleas for mercy resounded throughout the battlefield as the war commenced. We managed to catch the enemy by surprise as they were not expecting us to attack them first. Although we were outnumbered, it was not by much, and as the battle progressed, it became apparent to both sides that we were more skilled than the opposition.
Enemy bodies were dropping like flies as we made our way through the camp; every swing of my sword reaped a man's life, eventually leaving a trail of bodies in my wake on my way to reaching the middle of the camp. Getting there, I was surrounded by five men thinking that playing the numbers game would work for me.
"Gentlemen, what's the plan here? One-on-one or all at once? I hope all at once because I do not have time to waste on canon fodder." I said, taunting them. It must have worked as all five looked at each other and made a move together.
Having a small smile appearing on my face, I spun around, striking the one behind me first, then ducking to avoid a blade coming at my head while parrying one aimed at my chest. "whoa there, boys, there's enough of me for all of you." I said, giving a slight chuckle afterward.
I lunged forward towards the enemy in front, knocking his sword upwards, then before he could recover, I swung again, cutting from his right shoulder to the left side of his torso. Dealing with the second, I dodged another attack coming at my left arm and knee the guy in the gut, making him bend over, gasping for air to bring my blade down, slicing his head from his shoulders.
"Well, now it's two on 1; let's continue this dance, shall we." Lunging forward again, I appeared in front of one of the men catching him by surprise as I slashed his stomach, bringing him to his knees and trying to keep his guts inside. "that has to hurt," I said, moving on to the other guy, dodging his attack and making a flicking motion with my fingers at one of his legs, a sudden invisible force caused his leg to slide backward bringing him down to one knee.
I placed my blade to his throat and asked, "Any last words?"
"Please spare my life; I have a family!" he pleaded as he started to cry and grovel.
"Sorry, all out of mercy," I replied, swinging my blade precisely and taking his head.
'*sigh* they always end up begging' I couldn't help but think as I looked at the now dead man, 'Well might as well get used to it as there are still many more battles to fight,' I said to myself as I moved on to find my next opponents.
(Elijah POV)
*haa...haa...haa* Cutting down the enemy in front of me, I take a look around the battlefield, seeing all the bodies that littered the ground and the blood that dyed it red, I couldn't help but think of how much worse this was than the regular raids.
I looked for my brothers, finding Finn fighting with Father against their opponents, 'They'll be fine,' I thought as I continued looking around for Ace. Suddenly I heard screams coming from the center of the camp; making my way over, I came upon a sight that made me shake in fear.
Among a pile of bodies forming a circle around him stood my younger brother, his body covered in blood, his sword at his side, looking like a god of war. 'I don't know how much he is going to change when this war is over, but it is certain that he will not be the same, not that any of us will,' I thought as I refocused myself to continue the battle.
(Ace POV)
Standing among the bodies of my fallen enemies, I couldn't help but bask in the thrill of battle, the adrenaline and rush it brings. 'At this rate, I will be recreating Klaus's one-man against-an army scene a thousand years earlier,' I thought, laughing to myself. 'But it is about time this battle ended,' I thought, looking for the leader of this camp, finding him fighting Harald, the blacksmith.
I rush over, knowing that Harald is no match for him, making it in time to block an attack about to hit Harald's shoulder and knock back the enemy leader. I shout to Harald, " Go and help the others; I will handle him!". Hearing my shout, he looked at me and nodded, leaving to help the others care for the rest of the enemies.
"Now, big guy, it's just you and me; let us end this battle, shall we?" I asked him, getting into my battle-ready stance.
"Tch, a boy who hasn't even grown hair down below his waste wants to challenge me, go back and suck at your mother's breast to keep it warm for me when I get there to have my way -"
Before he could finish, anger had taken over me, and I raised my hand, focusing my magic, and with a twist of my wrist, his leg broke. "Listen to fucker, I just wanted to go through this war to train my physical skills because if I use my magic, all of you ants would die before I even broke a sweat, but you had to open your mouth, and as a result, you shall experience something that would make hell look like heaven."
Walking forward, I placed my hand on his head and recited a spell I created, taking inspiration from Itachi's Tsukuyomi; I made him go through the process of cutting a thousand times, having his skin peeled, his limbs burnt, his joint cut one by one, until he couldn't last any longer and just fell to the ground twitching. "May you find solace in that the demons are probably nicer than I am."
With that, I slit his throat and put my sword back into its sheath as the surrounding battle concluded. Walking over to a stool left out, probably when one of the men was on guard during the night, I sat and calmly watched the others end their fights.
"It has been a dreadfully long day," I Heard come from my left as I looked over to see Elijah come over and sit down on the ground beside me. "it has indeed, brother, it has indeed," I said, watching the last enemy being cut down and the rest of the men making their way here.
Chief Gunnar came forward to the center of everyone and began his victory speech. "Men! We have gained our first victory today! One of many as we continue our campaign to defeat the enemies seeking to destroy us! Tonight! Tonight we feast!!"
"YEAAAAAAA"
All the surrounding men cheered, bringing our first battle of this war to an end, but gods know that this is only the beginning of a long journey.

A.N.: (First battle of the war, first battle scenes I have ever written, hope you all like it. Also slowly going to introduce the magic here as he isn't going to expose it until after they are turned and doesn't have to let things play out as they should anymore but do remember that he gets a boost to it every year so by the time that they do he is going to be way stronger than esther and it's mainly going to be about him building an empire in the shadows after that while creating some legends in history here and there.)
